For my fiances birthday dinner..I treated him to authentic Peruvian Food at this INCREDIBLE place I found in Petaluma!! :-) For Appetizers, we ordered Yuca Frita(Fried Yucca.. very pop post fried root of the Cassava served with two different hot chili sauces!!) Mmmmm And Causa de Pollo( Yellow potatoe Cake inspired by the land of Incas. Peruvian yellow pepper, avocado, and lime stuffed with chicken salad and red pepper.. Seasoned with a Criollo touch to steal your heart) And for entrees we ordered Aji de Gallina (Chicken breasts in creamy sauce Aji Amarillo, eggs and olives served over boiled potatoes and white rice) And veggie Arroz Chaufa ( Peruvian style Chinese fried rice cooker in high flame wok with eggs, green onions, Ginger, soy sauce, red onions, yellow summer squash, zucchini, cilantro, and Peruvian orange peppers) And for dessert.. Helado de Yucuma!! Pouteria lucuma (lúcuma) is a subtropical fruit native to the Andean valleys and produced in Chile, Peru, and Ecuador. It was wonderful.. tasted like a cross of butterscotch and Maca!! Everything was HEAVENLY AND soooooo Mouth watering..OMG.. SO INCREDIBLE!!!

I will give it a 4 stars because all in all the food was tasty, some dishes more than others. However, there were a couple of "buts" during our visit. First of all, the seafood dish that resembles fish and chips did not have any sides that would complement the greasyness of the dish, therefore making it quite heavy. In relation to that, the side that came with that dish was 4 sticks of fried yuca with a fry sauce that we had ordered as an appetizer. We would have appreciated that the waiter had told us that we were going to get yuca with a dish anyway so that we could have ordered something different. Third, the lamb, although really nice cooked, left me with the sensation that I was not eating Peruvian food. Perhaps we should have gone for the staples like ají de gallina or lomo saltado. The anticucho was a winner, though.

My family and I go here once a week and I love taking out of town visitors to experience real Peruvian, flavor-filled food! My daughter loves their cheese empanadas and pyramid shaped rice. My husband and I usually get different appetizers like Yuca Frita, Quinoa salad or chicken empanadas. We love the lomo saltado, a spicy, flavorful beef plate with rice, french fries and tomato and onion to add a pop of flavor. The Chicha Morada is the most refreshing non-alcoholic drink! The staff is super helpful, they remember us and what we order, they treat all their customers with great respect and I have seen the owner, Juan, open the doors for disabled or elderly people - he is so KIND! If you are looking for delicious, exotic, flavor filled food and friendly, genuine wait staff and good music - go to Quinoa and be amazed!

This is a locals restaurant. While the staff was very friendly and attentive it would have been nice to have been given a little space. It had been a slow night and the waiter kept coming over to talk. I am fine with that its just that after a while it was a little too much (I would rather have a more attentive waiter than not). The food was good my only complaint is that we ordered a seafood dish and we didnt realize it was ALL deep fried. The price was reasonable and it was nice to be off the beaten path. Keep up the friendly service and good food.

dinner: ok. nothing special lunch: went to get takeout for lunch. I had a takeout lunch menu in hand. was told they dont have what I wanted... when I pointed to the menu they said, oh thats the other menu, let me go ask the chef. chef shakes his head, while Im standing right there... ok so chef is particular about what he makes, thats fine I ordered something that was basically the same thing off the "other" lunch menu. was charged the $7 dinner price when it was listed as $6 on the lunch menu.

The food here was as wonderful as the first time I tasted it nearly 1 year ago. There is something about the flavor of the food that just leaves satisfied from the first bite to the last. It was great to see that after 11 months the owner recognized and came to speak with us. A quality restaurant with a quality owner.

Awesome Red Snapper Ceviche. Its hard to find fish Ceviche, let alone good fish Ceviche. This was wonderful. Clean and comfortable environment. Good service. A bit pricey. $16 for a single serving of Ceviche but I was stuffed. A Perrier is more expensive than the house wine. $26 tax and tip for lunch for one.

Ordered the paella. It was freaking amazing. Best tasting paella Ive had in a long time. Filled with fresh tasting Seafood. Rice was cooked to perfection. Seasoned beautifully. Empanadas were to die for. God bless Yelp for leading me here. God bless TripAdvisor for giving me a forum to talk about this place.

Very delicious lunch at Quinua. Little to much food for me, I doubt most others would even notice Service was fast and extra attentive. Open kitchen, chef a showman too. Adds a little extra to the whole experience. Over all a five-star meal.

Delicious and fun but the price was high for what we received. Large portions make it more worth it but expect to pay 60-80$ for 2 people.
