Easily the Best Thai Food On the Peninsula, Perhaps of All of Northern California. Ive been eating at Pacific Thai for over 7 years, never once have I been served a meal I didnt enjoy or leave the restaurant unsatisfied (except for the time a family of tourists let their two little kids scream the entire time, (thank you meek parents)). The quality of ingredients is high, the flavors are excellent, the restaurant is usually impeccably clean, and the staff is quite friendly (the owner is especially kind). Were particularly fond of the Thai Spring Rolls (served with peanut sauce), the pad see ew, the cashew chicken, the yellow curry, the house salad, the thai fried rice, the thai iced tea, the regular iced tea (jasmine), the mango sticky rice, the pra ram, and the tom ka soup.

Fantastic lunch! Dropped in and ordered off the lunch menu. I got Panang red curry with chicken and my girlfriend got the Thai basil. We asked for it extra hot and got it exactly to our liking. My curry invigorated my senses and was not too milky or watery -- The curry, spice, and chicken complemented each other just right. My girlfriends Thai basil was a bit salty, but very tasty. Their "regular" iced tea is passion fruit, and is delicious. Price is very reasonable and service was excellent (supposedly a family restaurant).

The service here is really bad and I dont say that about many places. In addition to poor and often inattentive service, many of the chefs are not Thai, which is reflected in the taste of the food (mostly bland). The fresh spring rolls are the best dish). Having travelled extensively in Thailand, this is not at all representative of Thai food or culture. Better experience and good to be found at the Thai restaurants located in east Monterrey.

I love Pacific Thai. The Food is always good. I eat her on a regular basis and bring many guests. They all say the same thing -this is some of the best Thai they have eaten. Lunch is best deal in town. Same dinner sizes for less. The people are great who work here too. Favorites are Phad Thai, Lettuce wraps, Panang Curry

The curries are nice and creamy, and the vegetables are cooked to perfection. The ambience is nothing special, but its not overbearing. Servers are low-maintenance and leave diners mostly alone. 4 not 5 stars because the rice portion for two people is paltry and barely serves one.

I have only tried the lunch menu specials for $9.95. All very good that I have had; I never order spicy hot dishes. Most have options for tofu, beef, or chicken. Service is always good and it is quiet enough for easy conversation. They also serve Asian beer.

Best Thai Food in Monterey area. Staff is warm and friendly. Large servings and some non-standard choices. Open on Sunday, too! Outdoor seating in warm weather in cozy Pacific Grove which is a bit of a rarity. Enjoy yourself!

Fantastic dinner spot and good for groups. Try the pineapple fried rice, and the pacific thai lotus (artichoke stuffed with seafood and curry sauce - amazing combo of Monterey and Thai!).
