Tried it for lunch midweek, got there before the lunch rush. The dim sum is not like traditional with the pushed carts. This is order off the menu and it is steamed to order, so it really seems fresher than other places on the eastside. Between Eastern pearl and top gun in Factoria, I think eastern pearl has the better food. It should be mentioned that if you have only a short half our lunch, you will go over. My company allows hour lunches and I still went over, the food, while good and fresh, takes longer to make so try and order everything in one pass. Service was decent, the front room is small enough to make it easy to wave someone down. If I have a craving for dim sum again, ill definitely be back. Edit- a coworker of mine visited on a weekend and told me they do use the dim sum carts on the weekends and the food was just a fresh as when he visited this restaurant with me. Will confirm myself at a later date.

Excellent serivce and food. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived (a Tuesday evening), which is strange because our experience was very positive. The interior design was old and very basic, which is pretty refreshing compared to the trendy modern restaurants popping up in down town Redmond. There was only one guy working out front, he was both the host and server, but he was extremely attentive, fast, and friendly. The menu is fairly priced, and I would reccomend the "Complete Dinner" option which gets you some appatatizers and soup with your entree. We had the BBQ Pork Chow Mein and the General Tsos Chicken, both of which were excellent. My only complaint is that the Wonton soup was a little bland and the BBQ Pork appatizer was kind of dry.

We lived in China for several years and thought the local food in China was amazing. Always have been disappointed by Chinese food in America. This is perhaps the best Authentic Chinese restaurant we have eaten at in the USA. BUT you MUST order the authentic food vs. the normal americanized Chinese food on the menu. We just asked the owner to order for us and shared the dishes, which is traditional in China. We , three people, had tofu with little meat balls imbedded, chicken in soy sauce, crispy duck, chinese vegetable we never heard of with garlic (owner said to order "A" vegetable), and best of all a seafood soup.

Dropped by for lunch today. I was excited, since the owner previously ran a restaurant near where I grew up and enjoyed. I asked the lady at the counter about this, but she just stared at me blankly. Maybe there was a language issue, in which case, I recommend having the help learn to communicate in the primary language of this country. No matter, I was hungry, so I dug into my Kung Pao chicken. It wasnt bad, but it wasnt good: it was bland. Ive had this fare before, in every run-of-the-mill nondescript Chinese place Ive ever eaten at. No real reason to return, with so many other options in town.

Weve been looking for a good Chinese restaurant since we moved from Hawaii and this place has been our favorite so far. As it turns out, the owner moved over from Hawaii as well which my explain why weve been happy here. They serve family style, so, bring your friends and your appetite. More importantly, they have cake noodles! We have yet to find another place in Washington that serves cake noodles. Amidst the cake noodles, they serve an impressive array of dishes, and fortunately, the servers a quick to make suggestions. All in all, this was a fantastic find and well keep coming back for more.

Take out on Thursday night. Had never given this place a try, so I was excited to find some decent Chinese in Redmond. Sadly, this wasnt the case. The two staffers were friendly, but the place was empty at 6:30pm Food was hot, but not really flavorful. Chow-mein was like spaghetti with very little veg in it. Hot & sour soup left little to be desired. Egg foo yung was ok, but the sauce was clumpy, not flavorful, and the oddest color Ive ever seen for this dish. I might try once more to see if it was an oddball experience, given other respondents.

Very good food. I didnt know about Hakka style Chinese food before coming here, but weve been back several times and done take out as well. The owner is super friendly and was happy to change a dish to accommodate my wifes allergies. Some of the staffs English is spotty, but when there was any doubt, someone came back to double-check. Décor isnt fancy, just clean and friendly. Two of our favourites are the pan fried pork buns, and the Hakka fried rice noodles. Parking is around the other side of the block, or on the street out front.

Good restaurant, friendly staff. The new ownership that took over the place about a year ago is stubborn, and doesnt understand how to run the place efficiently. There are no designated roles for each staff member, so there will be a long waiting line, even for a room where the tables are mostly empty. I like this place, but I would rather eat at Kings Restaurant for Dim Sum, since their prices are lower, the staff are far more efficient, they know how to handle large crowds, and the Dim Sum is equally good, and sometimes better.

WARNING: NEW OWNERS! Quality has gone way down. I got ketchup and mustard with my takeout (why?) but no soy sauce??? BBQ pork is literally still cold from their refrigerator. Stir fried vegetables taste like black pepper and water, no sauce. Kung Pao was ordered at "5" (max heat) and has no spice at all. Everything is bland and tasteless. When I picked up my order at 5:00 PM on a Friday (insane traffic, every restaurant packed with customers) the place was deserted. Used to be bustling. Now I know why.

Went for dim sum at around 1145 with a group of 11. Seated immediately in the back. Food came slow. With a big group whenever we got food, we tried to get as much as we can. What ended up happening was we would eat all that we got and would have to wait 5-10m for more food. Service was kinda slow. They also didnt have the oily spice I like. Finally, the prices seemed way more expensive than what is possible at other dim sum places. Food taste was fine. Would not go again.

Came in during lunch time. The lunch menu contained only meat meals. I dont eat meat and requested to substitute for Tofu. The waiter said they dont substitute and showed me another menu with Tofu dishes. Needless to say it is more expensive than the lunch menu. I left the resturants disappointed. I dont like eating at places that lack the most basic flexibility. Hence I dont recommend this place.

S-L-O-W. Painfully slow service. Food is worth it if you also enjoy other activities such as: watching paint dry, waiting for glaciers to melt, and counting salmon migration patterns. If you would like to eat and finish within a reasonable amount of time, better to order ahead for takeout. Its a shame--the food is pretty good.

You rarely find any restaurant restrooms with a step stool for kids. This one has a step stool. This is just one aspect of the effort the team put into helping the customers. There are still a lot to improve. I have high hopes for it to become the first Chinese restaurant to be as clean as a 5 star hotel. Keep it up!
