I come here at least 2-3 mornings per week when I havent made breakfast myself. That is to say, Nomad Café is an indispensable part of keeping me fed and caffeinated most days! The two sisters who are usually behind the counter know my order by now, and they always serve it to me with a smile and a "thank you." The cafe is usually busy but never crowded, and its not unusual to see all types of people here - young and old, adults and kids, chatting types and laptop types. Its my perfect neighborhood cafe with great food and coffee to boot!

The atmosphere is calm and great for students who want to study. They have free WiFi with your purchase. The food was mediocre. I had a tuna melt with potato salad, that was reasonably priced at $7.50. Its clean and theres decent seating inside and outside. Its location is busy since its on Shattuck and the parking which is free street parking, they dont have a designated lot. So the parking could be a challenge sometimes.

Good place to study. Quiet with no music (so you can listen to your own!). Lots of sun. Parking available on street. Internet works reliably and there are outlets. Drink menu has some vegan options. Ive only tried a few of the food items as there arent many vegan choices. Cons: can get a little warm when sun is bright, 5 dollar minimum for credit card purchases; occasionally no seats available.

Lots of changes in ownership recently, but its gotten back to its roots as a place for nomadic workers. Power outlets and WiFi, good enough coffee and food, slow but pleasant service. Jumpin Java just a couple blocks away doesnt have the food options but is an even more laid back place to work and drink coffee and chat.

Ive tried some great food here, plus they carry a good selection of coffee. I had their vegetarian banh mi sandwich a while back and loved it so much I started making them at home! The other day, I tried out one of their breakfast sandwiches which I really liked as well.

My favorite sleepy neighborhood cafe. We mostly get the bagel with lox sandwiches and coffee. Both are good- I am especially when they offer their Nicaraguan coffee, which was fairly often. They have friendly staff - sometimes a little slow.

Nomad has closed! I am very distraught, this was the best coffee place in the area and they had great sandwiches, but alas, they have been closed for about a month. Not sure where to turn close by, but the Audobahn near JLS is awesome.

Standard local coffee place with good coffee and breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Also sneakily good Vietnamese sandwiches. Not a ton of ambience, but everyone is basically just working on their laptops, anyway. Friendly staff.

Its a small coffeeshop in a part of of town where there arent tons of them...good food and coffee, and they seem to have become more "study/work friendly" recently, so theres a fair amount of seating, outlets, and wifi.

Nice variety of sandwiches and drinks. My favorite its the Thai iced tea. Staff doesnt mind if you come and work for hours. Everyone is friendly and relatively respectful for making a good work environment.
