The chicken was rather small and dry for an El Pollo Loco, and they had happened to run out of mac & cheese (itd take 15min to prepare again), which my husband had really wanted. Their flour tortillas have also downsized since the last time Ive been to this chain, and are now about the same size (only slightly larger) as the corn tortillas (so just go corn for better taste & texture). The tortilla soup is always a solid option; I love it, though it could be somewhat pricey for soup at $3 something a bowl, when their chicken meals are so affordable. Wed ordered half a chicken and were allowed to request 2 legs & 2 thighs instead of the leg, thigh, breast, wing combo listed on the menu. Lastly, this store was actually quite clean and inviting for what one might expect on International. Parking was difficult though. There were definitely way more cars in that parking lot than the number of group in that restaurant.

I decided to get a quick meal here yesterday and went through the drive thru... I ordered the Tosada Salad and requested Black Beans instead of Pinto Beans... then requested extra rice... The lady said my order was already made... I asked that quick? She responded yes, as soon as you request it they start making your order... I then asked her, well will I have Black Beans? She responded, Yes.... I get home and I have PINTO BEANS............................I was disappointed because she said my order would be correct... Next time I guess I will check before leaving...

Just hosted a big graduation party and ordered 144 pieces of chicken and 6 jumbo sides of rice and beans about 3 days in advance. The chicken was fresh, hot off the grill and delicious. The staff was friendly and competent, double and triple checking my order to make sure it was correct, took the two huge boxes of food on a dolly to the car and loaded them in. All my guests were happy. It couldnt have been a better experience. Oh, and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended for a big party.

This store needs a a lot of improvements. My family and I came to el pollo loco to have lunch and we orderd the avocado stuffed casadilla meals. The veggies in the casadillas were cold, the casadillas itself were cold, they did not add the avocado as listed in the ad. My relative asked for avocado/guacamole the worker only gave her less than a tablespoon worth. The tables were dirty, and the workers let the homeless come in the restaurant going from table to table asking for money. I wont be back.

The restaurant is clean, customer service is very good and their new menu is vastly improved. I especially enjoy their new salads, which are excellent for the price. There is a good selection of fresh salsa. I like that you can see most of the kitchen from the walk up counter, including the chicken on the grill.

I had to give 2 stars because I was disappointed with the meat. Wing was pigeon size and breast was very dry. But the sides were delicious. I had corn, black beans, rice and salad. Very good

Average chain. Chicken was a bit on the dry side. On multiple experiences customers can be obnoxious and demanding - although this is no fault of their own. Staff is friendly enough.
