I went to the Pascadou Bistro for my birthday two years ago, and it has since become my traditional b-day/special event dining choice. I wasnt sure what to expect walking from my car, off a busy Newport Beach street, into a French restaurant. Pleasantly surprised many times over, however. The Pascadou Bistro could not provide a more authentic French dining experience anywhere in the world! The ambiance is intimate - what you expect from a bistro - from the little tabletop chalkboard noting specialties, written in text only a true European can write - to the kind and knowledgeable staff who are members of the French family that owns and operates the restaurant. The food is the best Ive ever had - foie gras, pate, duck, the cassoulet (love and recommend the cassoulet), and the list goes on. Amazing wine selection w/ and expert staff to properly pair the wine w/ your food. Please plan hours to truly enjoy and savor the authentic experience offered by Pescadou, so that you can enjoy the best French food anywhere, over time, and not feel like you are too full. I love Pescadou! Thanks Marcos et. al.

My husband and I went there for our 30th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. Loved the decor and warm ambiance of the restaurant. The service was fantastic and so was the food. I ordered a filet mignon which was very tender and it was cooked to perfection. We also ordered the muscles in a wine and cream sauce that were delicious. We will definitely love to go back regularly. Highly recommend this restaurant.

beware, this place is over rated. we stood in the entry waiting for at least 10 minutes waiting for them to greet us. later, we saw the owner knock a cloth off the champagne bucket onto the floor and then pick it up and put it back on the bucket. not surprisingly, this restaurant was shut down a short time later on april 7 for a cockroach violation. food was average and prices were high.

Pescadou is our go-to restaurant when we are missing food from the homeland. Hands down the most authentic French place in Orange County. The food is fresh, delicious and not pretentious, the prices are fair, and the owners Olga and Jacques are simply adorable. Highly recommended!

Great place to take a date. One of the few places where you can actually converse with the server and/or the chef. Very small, so make a reservation. Try and practice your French!
