Poor customer service and food. I ordered the Le French Toast de Tahiti. The description on the menu was coconut dipped brioche and seasonal fruits and whip cream. The order came and my first thought was that there must have been a shortage of fruit and coconut that day in Southern California. I couldnt see any fruit or coconut. It looked like French toast loaded with whip cream. I took a bite and did not taste any fruit or coconut. I moved some of the whip cream over and I saw that there was a few pineapple squares that resembled pineapple from a can. There was also one strawberry. The waitress never came to the table to check on me so I had to hunt her down. Once I was able to locate her I mentioned my concern about the dish based on the description on the menu and the waitress did not seem to care. I felt as though I was inconveniencing her. I left the restaurant feeling like I got ripped off. That meal cost me $20. Very Disappointed. Will never go back.

Form over substance would be the title of this review. We came here for breakfast on a weekend. The establishment is cute. Its a small place with sidewalk seating and a few tables inside. We were a little disappointed by the food. They did have a unique selection of egg dishes, but they just missed the mark for us. Its like they took a bunch of French ingredients, threw them in a hat, and blindly picked a few and decided to make a dish of it. I had the Benedict, and the bread was very hard to cut, which made for a frustrating experience. My husband got the bouchee, and the ingredients just didnt go. Also the puff pastry was low quality. Service was excellent, though, and we loved the ambiance and the coffee!

I wouldnt want to tell everyone about my favorite places, but here I am. This is a small French cafe, great for brunch with your special someone or with one or two friends. They dont play loud music (usually) so its great for a conversation. Food has always been delicious and amazing. Definitely try something on their specials, it never disappoints. Service is great, usually courteous, efficient, and fast. Theres something in the menu for everybody. We love going for a walk down the harbor after brunch. Definitely a great little breakfast/brunch spot in the area. Because the place is a little small, there might be a wait on weekends.

This has got to be the best place I have ever had breakfast in South Orange County since I moved here in December! (From West Hollywood- Yes, I am spoiled on food.) The food is delicious and the portions are huge! My girlfriend had some crepes and only finished one! It came out with two giant crepes. I had the "La Bouchee Aux Asperges. The owner was there taking care of the tables. The only drawback was his French sense of humor- kind of aloof- Saying the food was "just ok." It was amazing!!! Anyway I will definitely be going back- want to try the lunch sandwiches! They looked delicious!

We are from Santa Barbara and were VERY disappointed with the food quality and value!! We ordered a egg sandwich and the egg white was mucus-like, the five tiny greens inside the sandwich were wilted and the bread was soggy with a flavorless and watery salsa. Even worse was the value: $12 for the sandwich, $3 extra charge for some OK potatoes, $5 for a decent, definitely not great Latte and get this... when we asked for an extra plate, they charged us $2 extra. They said it was for a "split charge," but the food was not split - we only asked for a extra plate. We will definitely NOT return!!

My friend and I walked into Luxe a new food establishment in DP, and were completely ignored by the staff...we left and walked down to this little gem and were greeted warmly by Gabriela, she was friendly, completely accomodating and informed on the menu. The food was amazing and so was the mocha latte that I had! Thank you for your rudeness Luxe or we wouldnt have found this great place!! Oh thank you again Gabriela!!

Had breakfast here, Eggs Benedict with smoked ham. The ham wasnt smoked, was watery and weirdly tasted like lime? The hollandaise sauce was awful and the whole dish was almost cold and just didnt taste right. I should have gone with my gut feeling and not eaten this as predictably Im now visiting the bathroom every 5 minutes. If the French served this, they would be ashamed, this isnt anything like French food.

A true French bistro, with indoor outdoor seating. Wonderful lunch and breakfast place. Their Mushroom Brie Omelette is amazing, but they also have so many more French inspired dishes, and a true European chef/owner. Crepes too are a treat, in both sweet and savory options. Finish with a chocolate croissant. Youll feel simultaneously satisfied and guilty, but its worth the calories.

Some have commented on the poor service; that is true, it is often rude. However, the food is fantastic - the crepes, croissants, egg dishes, quiches, and coffee drinks are fabulous. This is the closest thing to a Parisian cafe that I have run into in the US. It is worth braving the frosty and unaccommodating attitude, which is actually somewhat amusing if youre expecting it.

Ive been here 3 times in the last month and every time the food is incredible and the service is excellent. So far everything off the menu has been better than expected, for both me and my friends I have gone with. I havent had any problems so far and look forward to going back! Also, if you have Delta Skymiles Dining, you get miles for using your registered card here!

The food here looked so amazing as they set it on our table and the portions were amazing!!!! That all changed after we each took our first bite though. The food didnt taste bad, but it just felt like it was lacking proper seasoning. The other issue is the staff was non existent and I always found myself trying to get the waiters attention since he never checked in on us.

Amazing food, amazing service. It started with a very warming welcome and continued with efficient friendly service. I was checked on nearly every 5-10 minutes by 3 different members of the staff. Even the owner asked about how i was enjoying my experience. Food time was more than reasonable and the quality of food was near perfect. My new favorite breakfast place.

Certain people have found their calling in life! And it just so happens that here you get to taste what thats like. The entire menu is on fire. Ive never missed. Their French onion soup is other worldly, and the quiche is just ludicrously good. Order a full quiche a day before you come to take home to the family. You wont regret it!

Food looks great but tastes average. The Bouchee Aperges was a combination of ingredients that did not go well together. The eggs Benedict came on slices of bread that was just average. Also the hollandaise sauce has too much lemon. However the potatoes are excellent and the coffee is great.

Worst food ever!! Eggs Benedict has a funky taste and was served cold. Their French toast is horrible! Who could even think this is food? Maybe people who have never eaten great food! I have been to Paris and this is not anything close to French cuisine.
