Everytime I go here the staff has been friendly. I got a birthday cake for my husband here and it was delightful. I love the rice cakes and the paper chiffon. Moon cakes are not my thing but I have given them a try and they are not bad. Skip the cookies they are meh. Remember that the cakes and things will not be as sweet as american cakes, etc... so if you like sugary goodness I suggest skipping it...but if you want to try something new... then give it a chance. If you like angel food or sponge cake you have to try the paper chiffon cake!!!!

Truly a hole-in-the-wall Chinese Bakery. Ive been coming here since I was a kid to fuel my unhealthy addiction to sponge cake. You wont find the same selection and prices as the bakeries in Cupertino Ranch 99 plaza or in SF Chinatown, but its a quick and convenient stop to grab baked goods. My favorites are the sponge cake and their baked pork buns. Ive tried some of their other items and often been disappointed (most recent example, banana rolls). The owners have been here forever and make everything themselves. **CASH ONLY**

Im always looking for a good Chinese bakery, but after several tries, I have to say this one is far from my favorite. The sesame balls werent crispy and were unpleasantly soft and overly greasy instead. Wintermelon cakes were somewhat stale in texture and taste. The chicken-filled pastrys filling had kind of an off taste and the pastry crust was too thick and not crispy. The service is always nice, but if Im going to consume some heavy duty calories, Im looking elsewhere.

I love this Bakery they have the best pork buns!! One thing to keep in mind when you go here is he only takes cash. They also sell steamed pork buns and other types of baked and steamed buns. The Hong Kong Bakery also Sells other baked goods. If youre wandering around Castro Street in Mountain View, I would highly recommend dropping in and grabbing a bite.

I usually buy dim sum and sweet cakes to put out as appetizers during big parties or dinner parties. They are always tasty and just the right price. The dim sum and sweet cakes are always the first thing to go at my parties because the flavor is right -- very authentic. And I like the white boxes with red ribbon that they use to wrap your order.

Cash only spot with authentic Asian buns / breads and Egg tarts! So tasty, Im always craving egg tarts when I walk by. You can call in advance to make sure they still have what you want in stock, or even order ahead for pick up!

The pastry selection was marvelous. We got two sweet buns and two savory ones, and everything was delicious. The crust in the baked buns was light and buttery. Both the BBQ pork and red bean filling were simply amazing.

First time here and I love it! The bread is really soft and flavorful. We got the nest custard and coconut bun and both tasted great. I strongly recommend this place if you like tasty bread.

This modest little bakery in Mountain View has some delicious treats. We didnt try any of the pork buns the baker was pushing but the red bean paste buns were fabulous.

Best egg tarts you can get here short of hiking up to Golden Gate Bakery in SF, but theyve jacked up there prices a bunch in the past years...

One of the only places I know to get seasame coated pastry balls with paste in the middle. The moon cakes I got tasted stale, though.

Poor experience. Cash only place is annoying and the 3 items we bought were dry and unimpressive. Do not recommend.
