The cheese in my daughters quesadilla and in my burrito tasted beyond iffy, almost sour. Even the smell was rancid. We both spit out our food and ended up sending back our plates, and politely complaining. The waitress said she tasted the cheese, and that it was fine, but it clearly was not. I still give them two stars instead of one because in the end they apologized and didnt charge us... But jeez, that smell was like when you forget to empty the trash for a few days. I wish I wouldve sniffed it before biting.

Good enchiladas, excellent desserts Stopped in here taking a break from the aquarium on a hot late summer day. If its unseasonably warm this shop is not air conditioned. Service was a bit slow initially in this apparently family run establishment, but I was part of a lunch rush. My enchiladas were excellent. The simple burritos were -- simple -- and probably not in the restaurants wheelhouse. The flan and churros were outstanding. The latter come with ice cream. Portion sizes were quite big.

Without a doubt the best Mexican Restaurant on the Monterey Peninsula! Service is amazing and the home made corn tortillas are out of this world! I grew up in the restaraunt business and lived in the Bay Area where there are quite a few great Mexican Restaurants and until La Bahia opened I was disappointed in our local options. I love this place! Its family owned and the staff is friendly!

Probly the worst Mexican food Ive ever had. Ordered a quisodilla with NO PICO. My food comes and it has Pico on it. I politely let the server know and she goes on to tell me that its not Pico in my food its just tomatoes. Wrong! (Their is tomatoes onions and cilantro in my quisodilla )so I say w.e. Ill deal with it. Then while picking off my plate I find a hair. Run away!

Good Mexican American restaurant on Lighthouse Ave - a few blocks off the beaten bath from Cannery Row. We stumbled across this place on Yelp on a Wednesday. Normally the day I went wouldnt matter much for a review, but when its $1 Taco Wednesdays, its well worth a mention! The rest of the lunch crowd apparently knew about the taco deals, too, but the wait wasnt too long.

We had the carne asada fries and the moms home made enchiladas. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this spot when visiting Monterey. Food was also reasonably priced, unlike a lot of places in the area. The staff was attentive to our needs, and super friendly (although we ate here at 4pm so it wasnt busy) I will definitely be coming again when visiting Monterey.

We randomly picked a place on yelp and I am so happy we picked this place. I ordered burritos and I told them to remove mushrooms if there are any and then food they brought was amazing. My wife loved her order too. Highly recommend this place if u r looking for something cheap and good to eat. The quantity of food was huge. :)

Excellent little Mom-n-Pop place! We used google map reviews and were not disappointed. Wound up there on Wednesday, their one-dollar taco day, so there was no place to sit down. But thanks to the personal approach of the staff we decided to wait. Well, those tacos were the best Ive ever had!

Went there with family told wait will be 20minute they where holding tables for people. So we ordered food to go and it took over a half hour wait to get food that was ok. And when we left tables where never filled.

I shouldnt tell you this, but this is probably the best little Mexican Cafe in town. Food is great and reasonably priced and the staff is wonderful. I personally recommend the California Burrito.

Food here was delicious. I ordered the two item combo and it was a gigantic amount for $12. The only downside was that the chips werent unlimited. They do give you unlimited salsa though.
