On your way to the beach and need an honest, straightforward slice of pie? Looking for a refreshing salad? Maybe just in the mood for a cold Coke? This is what Manhattan Pizzeria delivers, honest, back to basics pizza by the slice. Expect to be bumping into surfers, locals, and tourists heading to and from the beach. Grab your meal and head to the back where you can eat on comfortably worn tables. Or take it to go (my suggestion) and eat your chow down on the pier. Either way, you really cant go wrong here - just know youre getting a good slice of pizza vs. gourmet.

This is a good place for getting pizza & beer. They will not wait on you hand and foot but theyre helpful (giving us a beer sample) & easy going guys that make what they make and dont try to pretend theyre something theyre not. If youre looking for an authentic experience and pizza come here. The seating is ample, the bathrooms are clean and they always have something on the screens.

They quoted 20 min for pickup. We arrived 25 min after calling, they hadnt even started making the pizza. They did not apologize only made excuses. We ordered a deluxe pizza and it was missing both sausage and onions but mysteriously had chunks of tomato (which wasnt on the menu). They also forgot our garlic knots which just added to the frustration. Do not eat here!!

I was down here the other day the weather is awesome. I just got out from soaking up with the waves. I got my favorite lunch deal for a slice of cheese or pepperoni, small salad, and a drink for $5.50. Really hits the spot after a long day at the beach. I think more than the food, its the location. I mean everything taste better next to the beach!

Large sign in the restaurant says two dollar Italian ices. I was charged $15 for five of them and the excuse was they had "recently gotten a new menu." Insisted on the higher pricing after I pointed out the sign. Rude service and false advertising. Fix your signage. Your customer is always right... Especially when they are.

I still go back after my first visit. While this place may be a bit of a tourist trap, this is the closest pizza to my great grandmas (who was from Italy). The largest drawback are the prices. $24 for a small 14 inch pie is just a tad crazy. Remember to visit during off peak times to avoid the long waits.

The restaurant is in a great location right next to the beach, but the food is mediocre at best. I ordered a basic spaghetti with marinara sauce, but when I got my order, it was drowned in oil. I couldnt even bring myself to finish the food because it was literally dripping in oil.

I know LA isnt known for its pizza, but this was some of the worst pizza Ive ever had. The only reason Im giving it 3 stars is because it was clean and the cashier was friendly. Im not sure what the rest of the menu tastes like, but I was not impressed with the pizza.

Got a caesar salad and a white pizza(garlic, spinach, onion, cheese)...both were very underwhelming. The pizza was flavorless and the salad was overdressed in a ranch-type dressing. Looked like a cozy casual spot but unfortunately the flavors were not there for me.

During the summer, its the best. I would know because my friends and I hang out there. The pizza is greasy and delicious! They have the best, most outgoing employees that are always willing to serve you. Great for kids and adults. They also sell ice cream there!!

Definitely one of the top 5 New York pizzas in Los Angeles County. Don Mattingly says its his favorite and it was advertised at Dodger Stadium for the whole 2012 season. Blake from the Clippers go there quick and brown from the Kings go there. Enough said.

My wife and I went there on a tuesday and there was a guy working that was the most ignorant person. His answers to our questions were curt & short. The only time I saw he was nice was when he was outside smoking and talking to a girl. The food was good.

First off, its thin crust, not my favorite, but this was done well. The ham was juicy; the pineapple sweet and the pepperoni greasy, just like they should be. The garlic knots are heavy on the garlic, but when dipped, the taste is just right.

Amazing, from the food to the service. My husband and I brought our family here and loved it. The amount of food for the price was excellent. The service was very friendly and helpful. We will recommend to others 8)

The steak and cheese was horible and didnt come with lettuce and mayo that we asked for. Bread was dry. I think the normal chef was off . The meatball and cheese was was one the best i have had though!!!
