Its good to always take a bad review with a grain of salt, especially for an establishment that has a lot of good reviews too, but I want to stress that my personal experience totally warrants me putting in the time into giving this place a 1 star. I went in with a friend to grab a vegan pizza. When I say I would like vegan cheese, the guy behind the counter asked if I would like vegan meatballs. I was surprised to hear that they had that, so I responded "wow, you guys have vegan meatballs?" And the guy said ".... thats what I said". I was a bit caught off guard by how his comment sounded condescending. So I just said "Okay, I didnt know you guys had them, thats all..." and he said "I wouldnt say we had it if we didnt have it...". My friend and I-- shocked at his rude comments-- interjected our feelings of dissatisfaction with his response and his service. He responded with a mean look and a visibly worse attitude, and things unfortunately took a bad turn for the worse when we caused a minor scene and got into an argument with him... and then his entire group of coworkers sided with him and had his back, but without even understanding the full context of the argument and his initial rude behavior. First time this ever happened to me in a restaurant. Last time it will ever happen at 800 degrees pizza. I think its great that they have vegan options. Im sure the worker was having a bad day. But that doesnt justify anything and I cant support a place that ran the way it did that night.

I really love 800 degrees pizza. Ive been here many times and their marinara sauce is incredible. But this location could maybe use a bit of help with their service. Its definitely gotten better in the past few months, but there are occasionally times when it seems just mis-run a bit. Most of the time it seems fine, but theres been a couple instances where the line was moving so slow we decided to go get something else, even though it looked like they were staffed appropriately. Would highly recommend to get some food if youre around santa monica, but beware if the line is looking really long. They also validate parking as well if youre driving in with a lot behind the restaurant.

Ci tornerei

My pie took 20 minutes to arrive which would be no big deal except my girlfriends arrived in 5. When they brought my pie (explaining the first one spilled in the oven) it had cheese and I ordered it without. So they made a 3rd, which did not have all the toppings I ordered. I wasnt about to wait any longer, so I ate it. They did say we could keep the extra pie with cheese to take with us, but we had to go inside to ask for a box. I wanted to like this place for the many options and price, but they made it tough. And the pie was only okay.

Blaze is MUCH better! And far less expensive when you add toppings. The crust here is really good and unique, however it cant handle the sauce/cheese so gets watery except on the outer part which has no toppings. The staff is fantastic. Still, Blaze is far better and the prices are vastly less! Also, Pizza Rev and Pieology are better and much less expensive. Btw, I have been a partner at a high end restaurant that served gourmet pizza long before it was a trend so I speak from that experience in my evaluations.

I go to 800 degrees almost every Thursday night. Delicious pizza (they will make it again from scratch if you dont like the way it was baked) but awful service nowadays. The girl whos currently calling numbers when your order is ready is extremely condescending and makes zero efforts to make customers happy. I was about to ask her name to report her behavior to the manager but decided to let her go away with it for this time. But I will definitely do it if shes not on a better behavior next time I go!

Overall, it was okay. The service was slow and of low quality, and the process of creating your pizza was a slow, tedious process process. The line was long, and moved slowly, even though it was not near a busy hour. The food was good, but they skimped on the quality ingredients, and they cut my slices unevenly. Although the ingredients were good, the service and ease of ordering was hard. Plus, with the $1 price for ingredients, it makes 800 Degrees hard to recommend.

Love the concept, love the smell. Love pizza of the day. However... They train pizza staff to put tomato sauce directly on the crust and then add the olive oil.... Creating soggy pizza every fricken time. Putting the olive oil first then the sauce creates non soggy pizza because the oil repels the water...science. Some of the people will do it... However some will say its against policy...lol. Hopefully they will get it right because I love everything else here.

Its the fast casual model of pizza, like some other chains you may be familiar with. But unlike those, the pizza is excellent. Hypnotic, wood burning ovens crank out pizzas in just a few short minutes, with good salads and beer on tap. Theres also a pair of Coke Infinity machines for the soda enthusiast. Expect a crowd at lunch, but early dinner is usually pretty easy. Ample seating, just get in line, order your pizza, and take a number.

Today I heard about this pizza place so Idecided to try it out. Turns out it was a mistake. The person (David) making my pizza didnt use gloves so I asked him a simple question. Are you going to wear any gloves? Nothing could have prepared me for the firestorm that followed. (In light of what Chipolte is dealing with) Not only do I find this place unsanitary but the staff is ignorant rude and disrespectful. I will not be returning.

This place is in a good location and has decent food options. However, should avoid during busy hours and weekend nights; although Pizzas are ordered at the counter, al a Subway/Chipotle, its takes way too long for them to bake them due to the crowd plus their online orders and they are under cooked. If ever the order is prepared wrong, you have to get back at the beginning of the line and wait for you food to be done right.

My family and I LOVE 800 Degrees! Its like Subway, except for pizza. The toppings are all presented right in front of you, and you watch as your pizza is prepared, then flash-cooked. This place is fun for the whole family! The pizza is always delicious. The crust is cooked to perfection, and the fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce is heavenly. Next time youre craving pizza, try 800 Degrees. You wont regret it!

What a shame. Great location, great restaurant idea, and great decor. Everything else was bad. The pizza was soggy, the dough burnt, and the service very poor. The pizza is cooked so fast that there is no way it can cook thoroughly. Overall disappointing food experience. The meatball appetizer was also burnt and the broccolini undercooked. May be it was an off night.
