Pitfire is a hopping restaurant that is great for both families! The food is a delicious, upscale blend of traditional and not so traditional dishes - brussel sprout and bacon pizza sit next to a mac and cheese plate! The waitstaff are friendly, quick, and always good with kids. Kids get a small pack of playdough when they enter, a nice little bonus that always winds up being fun for the table. Note that you tip when you purchase your food (before youre seated), and tips are shared across the staff. A pro tip - after 5:30pm the place gets packed, its worth showing up a bit early to get a seat and not have to wait in line! Great spot to grab a bite or a drink in downtown Manhattan Beach. I had the kale salad and the Big Sur pizza. The kale salad might be the best Ive ever had; this would convert anyone who doesnt like kale. The Big Sur pizza (all pizzas are 10 inches; individually sized) was just as amazing and the crust was the perfect texture and thickness. The sangria was pretty good, too; its pear and tangerine which is an unusual combination for a sangria, but it tasted great and it wasnt too sweet. We had two small children in our group, and the staff were great with them. I will definitely be back the next time Im here.

Super family friendly place with amazing pizza (super thin crust, wood fired) and salads that will blow your mind. We ordered the "Sausage Party" and kids pepperoni pizzas, their Hand Chopped Salad with pepperoni and their house made sangria. Kids can get a package of multi-colored clay to play with while you wait. Such a fun kid activity to offer. They even gave us a "to go" box for the clay so we could bring home. This is my first choice place for pizza in Manhattan Beach. Sooooo good!

Great pizza but please Manhattan Beach Location, create a pick up line for called in orders! Tired of getting dirty looks from the general line! Are they angry because we thought ahead and called in the order 30 minutes before pickup or do they think we are "cutting" in line? Either way, in this lovely, far from sleepy,competitive town, create a "pick up, previously called in order" line or whatever you want to call it! Otherwise the pizza leaves a bad taste!

First time here and they have the greatest customer service all around. I order a pizza with a glass of water and I got to say....wow Pizza is super good. Its very pricey here but I think it is worth every single penny. If you never tried this place, I recommended you do so. Thank you for the Great Pizza Pitfire, I be back with the family and I am sure they will enjoy it like I did.

Not horrible, but also not what I expected for the price. The service was good, and the wine was quality tasting, yet overpriced, we came for the pizza and it was small and thin. Just not what you expect for what you pay, especially in "high class" Manhattan Beach. My husband says Sbarro in the mall is better pizza than this (and hes not proud to admit eating there).

Friend and I had wonderful lunch here. First time. Ordered chicken pesto pizza and chopped salad. The pizza was fabulous: tender chicken, lots of pesto, drizzled with olive oil, with thin but crunchy crust. Everything was just right. This is the best pizza Ive had in a long time. The salad--and Im ususally indifferent to salads, was teriffic. Five stars!

The pizza here is fantastic. Its not a pizzeria-type place, meaning that you arent really supposed to get huge pies to share, but rather individual, wonderful looking artisan pizzas. Amazing atmosphere and location, and the staff is lovely. It can get pretty crowded at certain times, but its nice and casual and always a go-to place for me.

We order from here all the time using the Caviar food delivery service. I love their Pitfire Artisan Pizza Deep Dish - spinach blended with ricotta, mushrooms and onions. So good im drooling just thinking about it. Its also amazing as left overs (if there is leftovers). They have the best crust.

The pizza place was good and the food was decent. Portions were ok. The location is quite nice. Interior is clean. Parking in Manhattan Beach can be challenging so beware. The avocado bread was small in portion but good in taste. The chicken all around tasted good and the portion was good enough.

This is a great local pizza place with a variety of traditional and original Italian dishes. Very casual atmosphere with a selection of local breweries on tap (in addition to not charging for corkage if you want to bring your own wine). I visit here at least once a week and am never dissapointed

I was not expecting how good this place could be. We ordered a pizza and a steak salad. While the pizza was very good, the steak salad was a clear winner. Candied walnuts, blue cheese, caramelized onions, tomatoes, and of course juicy steak. The portion was also huge. Would definitely recommend.

Good pizza (plus, its not easy to find wood-fired pizza), but the toppings could be tastier. The crust is very good so because of lack of other options nearby, we do order from there at least once a month.

I like this place because its a great family friendly spot for dinner. You can pretty much find something for everyone in your party whether theyre vegan, toddler, gluten free, etc. Fun high energy place!

Great vibe, and great food. They have no trouble accommodating vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free requirements, which makes it an ideal spot to bring a group, or meet up with friends.
