What We Ordered - Locol Cheeseburger - Fried Chicken Slaw Burger - Carnitas Foldie - Chicken Nugs We wanted to try a little bit of everything! The menu looked amazing! Sadly, the Brekkie section will not be available until next month. :( I will have to come back for the French Toast Holes! Although everything was good, nothing really stood out to me or would make me come back. I wished there were fries on the menu to go with my burgers! The buns were amazing though! But, anything greasy is amazing haha. The Carnitas foldie needed hot sauce! There were no condiments available. Luckily, the Chicken Nugs came with the hot sauce mixture at the bottom of the bowl. Dipped my foldie in that! The Chicken Nugs itself was good. Super, duper crispy! Just how it should be. However, it would have probably need better with ranch or flavored ketchup. The hot sauce mixture was too thin and liquidy. All in all, I will be back to try more items on the menu! Everything was super affordable and tasty. ^_^

I just stopped by tonight with a friend. I read about the opening in the LA Times and I was in the neighborhood so I had to check out Roy Chois new shop. It was pretty much everything you want it to be. Affordable food, great taste, amazing interior and environment. The staff feels native to the community and everyone is extremely nice and ready to help you out. I got the BBQ turkey and it was real good. The Agua Fresca was amazing as well. I wish I could have tried more stuff out like the noodles or the sides, but it was an early night and my friend and I wanted to do more traveling. I will be back.

Locol, for me at least, has done a lot to make visitng Los Angeles oft ignored South Central much easier and open. Its got hip hop music blaring. Its got fast casual food that beats the bland flavors of a Chipotle and then some. And you can see that its really the local neighborhood that is really making this place work and be special. Come here for the food for sure, but especially use it as a starting point to know South Central Los Angeles as more than just this foreboding place youre not necessarily supposed to be in. Parking is resedential. Check the signs, but its fairly straightforward.

Chicken was well seasoned. I asked for my waffle with the syrup on the side because they usually serve it with the syrup already on the waffle. Thank God I asked for it on the side because that syrup was not tasty at all. It had grease in it too. I know how to make syrup and grease shouldnt be an ingredient. Strawberry water was sooooo delicious! Oh and the greens were tender and tasty too. Oh the music was bumpin! And no curse words either. Strictly clean version of songs. Friendly staff. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor.

Heard about this place a lot and was excited to try it. Got the chili bowl, which at first bite wasnt great but really grew on me and really enjoyed. The fried chicken sandwich was not impressive and the Patty tasted like the frozen kind. Sauces and bread were good though. Excited to try the rest of the stuff on the menu. Prices are excellent and cant be beat for what you get. The music was too loud though and they had open screens so it was cold in there too. Otherwise pretty building and interior. Staff was great too.

It was my first time there and I was super disappointed. I tried the chicken and waffles and let me just say the chicken was raw as I got to the center. Will say the strawberry lime drink was very delicious the pineapple lime was a fail! The cheeseburger was OK it had a unique taste very cheesy. The chairs and tables were very uncomfortable to sit on. I personally will never go back and will not recommend it.

Pretty obsessed with their burgers. Such a great spot for a quick burger and fries fix. Outdoor seating available. Location is really nice and clean. Staff super friendly. I always order the same thing, mini cheeseburger, fries and their chipotle sauce to dip my fries in. I tried their cookies and cream shake once and I couldnt take more than two sips, tooooo sweat for my taste.

This used to be the best place in town for burgers, food taste and quality was phenomenal. I didnt get visit this place for a month and it turned into a burger king. Really disappointed on how 4 weeks changes the quality of the food. Used to drive 2 hrs to come and eat at this place since it opened up atleast once a week till recently. Todays food made it my last trip here.

Its certainly a good option if you find yourself handling a matter at the court house in compton, its on the way back to la proper. As advertised, its a stripped down take on a burger joint, located smack dab in the middle of watts. Its walking distance to the Watts tower park/museum. Not quite destination dining, but a great reason to head down to Watts for lunch.

Good food, great prices and really friendly staff. Celebrity chef Roy Chois mission of bringing good, healthy food and jobs to this community is a noble pursuit. As we were parking we noticed one of their employees was sweeping the sidewalks almost a block away from the restaurant. They really seem to care about the community and deserve your patronage.

Loved the machaca burrito. Loved the dollar drinks. Now their menu changed, the drinks are $2 which is not bad. Disappointed by the change in menu, I tried the burgers. Flavorless burgers, the wear dressing thing tastes horrible. Go to Hawkins House of burgers instead, they may take a while but prices are reasonable and burgers are the best in LA.

First of all I live in the block that this place is at and their workers be blocking the block all the time and theyre Rowdy and ghetto. They should have never put that place there. Ive been there twice and their food, if you call it food it is terrible. I give it a one star because it doesnt have if we could add zero on it.

I had a really pleasant experience on my visit. The staff was helpful and friendly. I ordered from a touch screen station an the food was ready in no time. I ordered a foldie ($2), classic cheeseburger ($4) and a tangerines orange water ($1). The food was reasonably priced and really good. I will definitely go there again.

I am so excited by the concept and vision of Locol - Lets continue to bring more life, vitality, beauty to our communities - so much good happening all around us - wonderful to celebrate good food, people, atmosphere and music! This is a feel good LocoL spot - definitely recommend, lets support :)
