Ive been coming here for years. Not any longer, and over something that shows the owner doesnt respect her customers. Shes closed to bathrooms from paying customers, cant even wash my hands. After I ordered lunch today I got some syrup on my hand (was on the tabletop from a previous customer) I asked for the key to the bathroom and was told its no longer for the public. "So how do I wash my hands from the mess on the table?" "There are some wet naps over there" pointing to the top of the trash can. And then staff didnt clean up the table, even after they dropped off my food and saw the mess was still there. "Yes, I know, weve just been busy." No, they werent at all while I was there for an hour. According to staff someone complained the bathroom wasnt handicapped accessible. So instead of the owner confirming she doesnt have to remodel it because its grandfathered in, or be nice and move the sink so a wheelchair will fit, she did make the energy to confirm Beeps is small enough that a public bathroom isnt required and she closed it to her paying customers. I guess she doesnt have to pay to clean it? I will be sure to tell as many people as possible.

This place has it all. Great food, service and atmosphere. There is just one problem, the owner is violating labor law and invading workers privacy rights. Workers at this restaurant, arent given rest brakes according to state and federal law. In addition, workers have to pay each other if one of them has covered a shift out of pocket, the owners of this place dont deal with this, can somebody say, "tax fraud". The owner is a bit of an odd ball and treats her workers like slaves. I for one will not be eating here anymore because of the injustice and unfair treatment the owners of this place do to its workers. I understand it has to come from the workers themselves if they would want legal remedy to occur. Im just simply exposing the truth behind this restaurant. Hopefully many of you read it and boycott this place.

One of the girls that took my order was very rude.. chili burger didnt have nothing but a spoon of chili on it.. after spending $25 you cant even use the rest room one girl that was rude said their wasnt a bathroom then ask another girl she said it wasnt for customers like for real when I drive up a Mexican lady was going in the rest room..I think if your a customer you should be able to use rest room after spending lots of money to eat there.. it was my first time and last time there

I live around the corner, and often walk here to eat. Its an old fashioned burger place, but the food selection has been expanded so that they have everything from Burgers to sandwiches (try the corned beef), to breakfast combos all day long!! Drinks and shakes are great as well. The staff are extra friendly and inside the diner you will find a fun and lively decoration of the 50s and 60s. Also has an outdoor patio, which is useable 85% of our wonderful California weather.

Most people will agree that the service is slow, but say the food is worth it. Trust me, its not really that worth it. The food is standard diner fare and there are plenty of other places with prompt service that can make an egg. My experience was a 50 minute wait for coffee and water in the main restaurant with only 3 orders in place before us. It was a full hour for our eggs and bacon to come out. An hour! And it wasnt busy at all - the place reeks of mismanagement.

Food was ok, but not worth the wait. Waited over 45 minutes for two simple burgers.. never again.. plus parking is horrible and super dangerous, it should even be illegal to park that way.not enough employees on the clock during a lunch rush knowing people have short timed breaks..word of advice order your food ahead of time over the phone and for the owners for better buisness an more buisness hire more people an improve your speed of service!

Great food, but the large selection leads to long wait times. Calling ahead is recommended. No bathrooms! Food is a mix of greasy spoon, American breakfast, sandwiches, and run of the mill Mexican. Double burgers come with an extra bun in there middle. They have frequent customer cards. Music is non-stop fifties which matches the interior decor. This Van Nuys shop will last longer than the concrete simply from a lack of real competition.

This place is crazy busy especially sat and sun morning. Its a cool 50s, 60s theme. The inside restaurant is tiny. Only 7 tables seats about 25 people. They also have a nice outdoor covered seating area. You order and pay at the counter and theyll bring your food to your table. Food comes out slow, so if youre in a hurry, not a good place. Food is ok for what it is but price is really cheap. Maybe thats why its so crowded.

I have no idea why no one has reviewed this place! Its awesome! A bit small, but with a caring staff and delicious food! The menu is pretty big, but the first time I went one of the super cool cashiers helped me figure it out and recommended me the Western burger! It was so so soooo good juicy all the flAvors went perfectly together! And the shAkes are incredible ! Go get some burgers or breakfast you wont be disappointed !

The food is mediocre at best, however the staff are absolute IDIOTS. They take an unnecessarily long time to attend customers. Ive had to resort to ordering food ahead of time by phone due to the fact that these guys need 30 min to make a burrito. Even when I do order my food ahead of time they give me this crap where I have to wait 10 min until they attend me and bring my food to me.

Service is slightly slow. Waited 20 min for a burger when there werent maybe people. Also didnt acknowledge me when I walked up to the ordering window outside. Had to repeat my order to the cashier multiple times, who was not listening and confused-- asking me how many patties I wanted after I requested a 1/2 lb burger. Hopefully your experience is better.

This place is fabulous! The food is absolutely delicious, and the decor is so totally cool. I went out and bought old record albums and decorated my house with them after eating at this restaurant and admiring the unique decorating style. But this is definitely a classic hole in the wall type of place. Theres no luxury here, but the food tastes so good.

Been in the valley for years, greasy spoon staple, large selection of smoothies and shakes, and one of the only places left to get a chocolate malt. Some of the menu items are just too ambitious and leave you struggling to get through your meal and eventually just tapping out, not from being full, but rather being fully turned off.

The food is average, the milkshakes are great, the people behind the counter are always cool and friendly, and the atmosphere is old school diner. Its small, and dont expect to get in and out quick, it can be a little slow at times. But I feel like Im living a little history every time I go here, and I go here more and more.
