When this "Gastropub" first opened, Id go here 3 times a week, cause it was 4 blocks to my house, and the food was consistently excellent. AND THE BEER. My friend had the roasted chicken. No where on the menu did it mention "Blackened Chicken" which it was. Literally charred dark meat and the rest was just barely edible. She kept insisting that it was fine and dont bother the stressed out waitress. DISCLAIMER: There was live Irish music that had clearly drawn a capacity crowd. Even the patio was busy. I had the Blue Burger, remembering it as one of my favorite burgers in LB. Not so this night. Meat was cooked to perfection and was delicious. Lots of good crisp thick cut bacon and a decent BBQ sauce/bun spread. The bun was in several pieces after the first bite; to bad as it was quite large and looked good. Alas, it crumbled from staleness, as its taste confirmed. Didnt even make 3 bites and done. Oh, the lettuce was a beefy Romain rib, you know, the part youd cut out and throw in stock pot, again, busy night. BUT... they still have some of the best Rotating craft beer selections on the east end. Drakes Pale Ale was quite nice with big hoppy finish from the IPA style dry hopped brewing, which Drakes also offers in several award winning IPAs. But the restaurant still has tons of comfy styling, one of the coolest genuine antique bars in town. And Im sure the food suffered from an overtaxed crew, cause Hector dont play like that. Ill go back soon and edit this as I sip a bracing 8% IPA to steel me for the long 5 block walk home.

what a place! they have: great food, rotating taps thatll always have a beer youll like, a brand new back patio, and a great staff. thank you Tracy & Mark for bring such a wonderful place to Long Beach. if youre there for breakfast (9am-1pm on the weekends) you have to check out the Steak & Goat Cheese Scramble and/or the Bread Pudding French Toast. all youll ever want for breakfast again. if you miss breakfast hours their menu has even more delicious items: Angry Blue Burger, Shepherds Pie, Veggie Flatbread, Lamb Sliders, and the list goes on.

Ive eaten at The Red Leprechaun several times over the years. First time was shortly after they opened, and while it was good it left much to be desired. Now that its been around a few years they have really done a great job with the food and service. If youre in Long Beach, or planning a visit, its worth the stop. The corned beef is the best in town!

This is one of my favorite places to eat. Everything is made in house. The only reason they did not get 5 stars is because it is an Irish Pub that cannot make an authentic Irish Coffee. They do beer and wine. They do have amazing beers so I cant really complain, but no Irish Coffee???

This review is long overdue. We have been frequenting the Red Leprechaun for a few years now and it is one of the BEST places to eat in long beach. Tracy, the owner, and the wait staff are attentive and knowledgeable. This place is a must try, especially the corned beef!!

I had breakfast with my wife here yesterday. We brought the pups with us and had a great time on the dog friendly patio. Big shout out to Nicole who by now pretty much has our preferences memorized. Nicole even knows that our pups will need a side order of bacon.

The food was good but the fish and chips were not crispy which would have made them much better. It was very busy so we had a long wait for food but the staff was not rude so the service wasnt horrible just a bit slow. Beer was excellent though.

Best brunch in town! Gotta try the breakfast nachos.... Not your traditional nachos by the way and totally worth enjoying... $10 bottle mimosas and $5-$7 draft beer selection makes it easy to cure your headache from the night before

Taylor rocks! Love a bartendet that interacts and keeps it real! Food was great and the Great Divide "Yeti" was amazing and worth the drive to this Zaferia neighborhood must see destination! Thanks Red Leprechaun! You rock!

Service was crazy slow. The Shepards pie is overpriced for what you get, plus it was more akin to soup then real shepherds pie. The folk music night was to crowded and the music was horrible. This place was laughably bad.

Very nice and socialble staff, super tasty and filling food, wide variety of drinks, and a generally fun atmosphere. Plus the live music really makes this pulls together the whole irish pub theme for the place!

I go here for a biz mixer about monthly. Beer selection is very good, tasty, reasonably priced. Always good to chat it up with Trudy, the owner. Nice ambience too.

The food is super delicious, especially the pulled pork and the corned beef. Unfortunately, its always hot inside. I wish they would turn on the AC.
