Not Worth The Money- Time or Effort!! Skip this place!!!!! There is no view, the staff is rude, the wait is long, the bar is too crowded and the food is mediocre at best. We tried the spinach salad which was bitter and drenched in dressing We tried the ceviche which was $25 of flavorless, tiny pieces of raw fish We ordered a mushroom pizza and the crust was all gooy and soft (the flavor wasn´t bad) We requested that the salmon NOT be over cooked and what do you know? it was dry as bone; they did replace it but it took forever. We also had the grilled tune. A few pieces of tuna steak, seared with no flavor what so ever- laid on a bed of White couliflower/ weird taste. We had the meringue desert which was pretty bland as well I have been to this place on many ocassions: brunch, drinks, small bites and everytime I swear I won´t come back....This time I truly won´t. Go to Eddie V´s across the street

Restaurant, Lounge and Bar area very attractive. We had 11.30a.m. reservation - hostess on phone and ignored us. Wait person came with water, left while we decided what we wanted to drink and did not come back as was too busy chatting with person behind bar. I had to go and ask for service and for loud music to be turned down. We order wine and a cocktail and again waited for a long time before service. Food - their version of BLT was excellent would recommend it. Caesar salad was paltry, dressing and cheese tasteless and was advertised to have anchovies - they were the white but a meager serving for the price. The staff obviously need more training. Or perhaps the idea is to discourage older clientele in which case it worked well. We will not be back nor will we recommend this restaurant to friends either young or older.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE experience. We had our wedding reception dinner here on Friday April 21st. We had guests from all over the country and they couldnt stop talking about how incredible the food was. We offered chicken, steak, pasta and tuna option. Multiple people said how the steak was the best they have ever had. The portions were huge and quality. Every course was perfect. The service was the best service we have EVER had!! Our guests were even tipping the waiters and waitresses because it was just so attentive and amazing. I could go on and on about how amazing this place was. Our guests will remember this dinner forever. Tanya the event planner was incredible and timely in her responses. She went above and beyond to make our dinner customized and perfect. Cant wait to come back!!

Stopped in from 6 - 7pm on a Saturday night, which is a quiet hour to arrive before the dinner rush. At 6 pm, there were only a few other parties in the restaurant and we easily took a couple seats at the bar in the front lounge. Loved the very comfortable decor, with a bit a New Orleans feel. Drinks and dishes are on the slightly pricier side. Unless you arrive for happy hour, you likely wont find a glass of wine for less than $10. I chose the rockfish kale salad, with slices of avocado and green grapes. There was a smokiness to the fish that didnt appeal to me, but overall a tasty and well-sized salad for $14.00 If street parking is tight, there is valet lot directly to the right of the restaurant for only $7. And also a self park lot across the street for $5.00.

I went with my family to a fantastic atmosphere and setting. The service was a bit over the top with three or more people continously coming to our table, mostly for filling our water. We had delicious oysters and then went to our main plates. I had the okay swordfish, but was surprised when I saw the portion. It was as big as a kids portion at many restaurants. My family was disappointed with the meals they were given also. Once we saw the check we were shocked. Charged around 200 dollars for the smallest meal I had in my life. It may have been delicious, however be aware of the portions before coming. Way overrated reastruant and you can find cheaper, better, and more fulfilling food around the corner.

Cute little restaurant in La Jolla. The food tastes great, the service was pretty good. We came here for lunch one afternoon during restaurant week to try out their three course prefix menu. The portions were huge and of great value. We got the soup and a salad for appetizer, the lobster roll and the Fish and chips for entrée and some macaroons for dessert. Everything tasted pretty good although not very healthy. Our waitress came often to check on us and she was very sweet. Parking was a nightmare. Theres only six spots in the parking lot adjacent to the restaurant for restaurant patrons. Which is definitely not enough

I absolutely love this place!!! One of the top restaurants in and out of San Diego, and Ive been fortunate to dine at many highly rated and Zagat rated restaurants. The chef is a food whisperer and works each dish into a delectable downright delightful masterpiece. And our service was excellent. Wilson was perfectly prompt with serving, wine pouring and just genuine niceness. Its my new go-to digs! Worth every penny in my book. Thank you Herringbone for rocking my food world! Try the grilled prawns, Japanese sweet potatoes and wild caught fish in miso broth - yum!! And Clean Slate reisling as your dinner companion...

So I was gonna give four stars because it honestly doesnt fit the casual market well. Kinda disappointing. More of the Bougie La Jolla crown is their market customers. But lucky when we got a deal online we went for brunch. Was so amazing I bought another deal while we were eating. Unfortunately we only went those two times. If I had loaded pockets I would probably be a regular. Ive been in search for the best lobster roll in SD and herringbone stats at the top of my list after trying 4 other places. Kudos. I love the decor and the staff, but the prices make it hard to keep it a frequent experience...

I cant say enough to express how good this place is. To start the atmosphere is very upbeat and I think they have a DJ or live music every night. The decor is awesome with live trees inside the restaurant which is a cool touch. The service was some of the best we have had and that was all 3 times we went here on this trip. The food is really on point, make sure to try the fresh fish appetizer that is served as a whole fish sashimi style and also if you like lobster then get the lobster roll sandwich for lunch. You really wont be disappointed by this place.

Nice decor, atmosphere. Avoid brussel sprouts too much balsamic (burned?) on outer layer. Flat bread was average think grocery store frozen and heated. Wine was awful and they tried to bring me a white wine and say it was a Cabernet Sauvignon. Had to tell them no, that doesnt make sense. We also were told incorrectly two different oyster types were the special of the day. Our server turned out to be wrong and the random server checking on us quoted us the correct oyster special. Too bad we relied on our waiter.

I have been to Herringbone many times but I finally decided I will never go there again; for one their drink prices are outrageous, $16 for house wine, $16 for house margarita and $17 for a martini. Whats amazing is that for these prices the drinks are terrible. The bartenders clearly do not know how to make good drinks. Also, I have seen them several times double charge me for drinks. When you question them on this, they say oh sorry and take it off.
