Somebodys got a case of the Mondays! "I love Mondays", said no one ever, but having a VIP event on a Monday makes it a lot better. Oh that and Monday Night Football. You down with TLT? Yeah, you know me! So I learned that TLT are the letters for The Lime Truck. Im such a noob! I still have not tried The Lime Truck until today. Its strange because the truck has showed up outside of my apartment and workplace many times, but I was always out sick or traveling when this happened. I promise I was not avoiding you TLT. I finally popped my TLT cherry! :) Thank you TLT for such a great event. This is better than happy hour with beer and spiked Limeade! I am glad that I was able to sample this place because I was looking for a fast casual food restaurant for a pre-movie dinner at the Irvine Spectrum. Stupid food court is closed and I dont always have 2 or 3 hours to wait for a larger restaurant such as Yard House or Cheesecake Factory. Here are few items we got to enjoy: Califlower Ceviche with chips- I know there is no meat in here but this stuff is the shiznit. It doesnt taste like ceviche to me without fish or shrimp, but its like a delicious salsa substitute. Braised pork with noodles- believe me that Im making the Homer Simpsons salivation face. I will be coming back for more of this. Lamb Slider- good stuff! Short Rib Quesadilla Wedges- not a fan of most quesadilla but you had me at rib meat. Pork Belly Nachos- not explanation needed. So good, but getting full at this point. Lime Panna Cotta- a great desert to clean the palate.

TLT Food originated from Lime Food Truck. They had been going everywhere to introduce their pork belly taocs and then after their foods were familar with a lot of people. Finally they have opened their own restaurants. They have been used "Familiar Marketing". Try to eat PBAT Sandwich included Braised pork belly and pork belly taco. Those are really tasty. *. Familiar Marketing: One guy who has been operating Okonomiyaki(Japanese style Pizza) Restaurant wanted to promote his restaurant and his menu but operation was not good. He tried to use " buy one, get one free" method and hired young waitress etc., but business was slack. One day, he ran into one delivery man and then he realized how he can market his restaurant well. He has tried to put his restaurant name and menu on his delivery boxes and then he has been wandering around crowded places. After that many people recognized his restaurant name and menu and get familar with that menu and restaurant. People have started to think that restaurant is very famos and popular because they can see delivery man every day and many crowded places. After that, many people have been visiting that restaurant and then he can open many branches in Japan. We can call it " Familiar Marketing" like Effel Tower effect. *Okonomiyaki is a Japanese savoury pancake containing a variety of ingredients. The name is derived from the word okonomi, meaning "what you like" or "what you want", and yaki meaning "grilled" or "cooked". -Wikipedia-

I didnt realize it was The Lime Truck until my friend told me about it. Modern decor, easy to read menu, and the food comes out fairly quick! I would recommend coming on their $3 Taco Tuesdays! -- Pork Belly Nachos : Overall tasty but not enough pork belly! -- Carnitas Fries : Nice crispy fries. Juicy carnitas. Cool sour cream and avocado mixture. Good to share! -- Ahi Tuna Taco : This was only OK for me. Modest amount of ahi tuna chunks. -- Shortrib Taco : Their shortrib is good! It would be the favorite taco choice for me. -- Pork Belly Taco: A little too chewy and fatty. -- Sweet & Spicy Steak Taco: My 2nd favorite taco choice. Has dots of sriracha. -- Short Rib Sliders: The short rib meat is good but would prefer the taco format. -- Blueberry Bliss Limeade : Extremely tart if thats your thing. Has blueberry, strawberry, white peach notes. -- Tropical Limeade : A little too sweet for me but still tasted delicious. -- Lime Panna Cotta : YUM. I love panna cotta. Their version is nice and tart. Easy to share. Also, grab a Belly card so that you can check in for points each time. I checked in 3 times and got a free limeade but you can save up for more goodies.

I will never look at lime in the same way! I had a chance to try couple of top-sellers of TLT. My personal favorite was the spicy and sweet taco. The steak was so tender and juicy. The wonton strips made for a fun crunch. My second favorite of the night was chimi noodles. The noodles simmered in a lime-like sauce with pork belly mixed well together. The pork belly was just so tender, I also liked that there was a slight kick. A honorable mention included the cauliflower cerviche. It included chopped-up cauliflower, avocado, lime, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño mixed together made for a refreshing taste. This made a great dip with chips.

Seriously, this place is a gem! I work in the area and get lunch here at least once a week. Im a fanatic for the Salmon Caesar and their Rajun Cajun Wrap with Mac and Cheese. Their prices are in line with what you get in the area, but their great quality and generous portions beat out everyone in the neighborhood. TLT Food is a hit with everyone Ive taken here, their menu has something for everyone. The guys that work here are also super friendly!

Great food. I was dumb enough to not ask if my noodles had cilantro (Mexican fusion and all) and they were super nice about giving me plain noodles. Even suggested I use a sauce to give it more flavor. The noodles ended up being super good and filling, lemonade was so fresh tasting, fries were perfectly crispy with a fresh taste, sauces were excellent. Hopefully this place franchises!

Extremely high quality ingredients at a decent price. Recommend their taco tuesday $3 tacos. The ahi tuna taco is one of their best if you like tuna. Also, if you branch out from the tacos, their menu has a lot to offer and everything Ive tried there has been phenomenal!!

Excellent service and great food. Short rib and ultimate taco was ready within 5 minutes and the west coast IPA was cold and served in a glass. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

The steak quesadilla salad was delicious! The way they make it makes it easy to eat some of it then wrap it up and eat it like a taco. The sauce and meat is so good.
