The food was great. We got the family dinner for 3, I highly recommend. When you first come in you get a nice salad with lemon water or whatever you want to drink. With the family dinner you get sizzling rice soup. I was wondering if would be okay, it was great it had a great taste. Then you appetizers you get fried wontons, egg rolls, potstickers, and paper wrapped chicken(better than it sounds). At this point we were getting full. The we picked three items. We choose sweet and sour chicken, cashew chicken, and house special chow mein. Sometimes with cashew chicken you get all celery not the case, there was a lot of meat and cashews. We also got white rice with our meal, it was so soft and dare I say heavenly. The staff were amazing and friendly. Would come again if I ever come to laguna beach again.

Mandarin King provided us the most WONDERFUL experience for our 25th Wedding Anniversary party!. The food was EXCELLENT and the SERVICE was beyond what I could have asked for. They treated us and our guests with such COMPETENCE, taking care of every detail we planned and MORE!! We would recommend Mandarin King to anyone that would like a delicious meal and service to match. Very good food and prices, and the absolute nicest owners and staff. Once met someone else from Laguna Beach at Customer Service training class in another city -- and after describing where I lived as "near the Mandarin King" (everyone knows where that it ;o) -- the person said that they thought Glen (owns with wife Priscilla) was the ultimate example of excellent customer service -- I agree!

One of the best Chinese restaurants in OC. Ive been coming here for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. The service is always very attentive and friendly. The food is so yummy!! They also have great lunch specials. Highly recommend!

Nice place (not outstanding but close to real "neutral" asian restaurants - i.e. non touristic), quick service and very nice staff. The food ? Awesome !! Beef Sechuan, Sweet and Sour chicken and orange chicken were top !

one of the worst meals Ive ever had. The orange chicken was almost all breading, very little meat; fried so hard I could not cut it with a knife. The only bad restaurant so far in Laguna Beach.
