We arrived at 3pm. We were sat immediately. We were surprised by the amount of diners at that hour. Our server Shaylynn, was prompt getting to our table. She took our drink order and returned with them promptly. Having never been to the Olive Garden in Laguna Hills, we wanted time to look over the menu. Having had a late breakfast, we decided to order lightly. We ordered the unlimited soup, salad and bread sticks. Also, we ordered the mini pasta bowl of spaghetti and meat sauce. Our salad arrived .Not only was it large in size but it was large in flavor. Next came the Chicken and Gnocchi soup, along with the mini pasta bowl. The soup was very good and full of flavor. The meat sauce in the pasta bowl was average but still good. The breadsticks were a hit! Our second soup selection was the pasta e fagioli. It was excellent. Our third soup choice was the minestrone. All soups were packed with delicious ingredients and were very hardy!. For dessert we ordered too much! The dessert portions were large and can be shared. The black tie mousse cake was made of chocolate cake, dark chocolate cheesecake and custard frosting. It was a chocoholics delight! The second dessert was Sicilian cheesecake. It had a shortbread cookie crust and topped with seasoned strawberry sauce. Even tho it was a little frozen in the middle it was still very good. The music was good jazz and just loud enough to enjoy. Our server, Shaylynn, was one of the most attentive and professional wait person we have encountered. When the bill came, we were very impressed that they mentioned that the tip was not included. They also suggested a tipping scale from your total. They quoted what your tip would be for 15%, 18% and 20%. We thought it was a great idea. Our overall experience was so good that we plan to come back once a week for lunch! If you are looking for authentic Italian menu, we do not recommend Olive Garden. However, if you are looking for a good meal at a fair price then you cant go wrong with Olive Garden. We plan to be doing many more reviews of all the local eateries soon. Look for our reviews under FrankandJudy Yturralde

We just went there, we were sat and a noticed that the table was dirty, so I asked the hostess for another napkin so I could clean the table he said sure, while wiping of the table I noticed a bug so my husband and I got up and asked for another table, the waiter said ok, we were sat next to our old table and we noticed that the waiter had just put everything back on the table the way it was, never wiping it off or getting rid of the bug, nothing, and then the hostess sat another group there. We looked around our table and it was the same, food left there and our wine glasses, omg they had food particles stuck to them, we were so disgusted we got up to leave, we saw the manager on our way out and I told her our experience and although she was very apologetic it just put a bad taste in our mouth, she offered to comp our lunch, I told her we are leaving why dont you comp the poor family that was sat at our old table, and we left, all I think about is if we can see all of this, what cant we see back in the kitchen.

I took my family over the weekend food is good waitress was a bit rude, I gave one star because the charged my for some other customers order as well as mine. My bank called me to alert me of the extra $81.00 My 81 year old mother in law called them as it made her mad and after going round and round for 10 minutes with the manager he admitted they have been having issues with their computer freezing and that it looks like my CC did not log out when the next waiter ran their charge. Now I have to wait two weeks to get my $81.00 back. They at the very least should have offered a free meal for the error but they did not. My family will no longer eat there & my in laws who live in Laguna woods will never eat there again & old people love to talk so I am going to guess the lines will be much shorter from now on. Shame on Olive Garden for ripping us off!

We went there on a Saturday afternoon and we had a great time. It was busy, but our waiter was great and attentive. He made sure our drinks are refilled on time, food arrived in hot and in great shape and always kept a smile on his face. The food was fresh and delicious, the breadsticks are to die for! We tried Steaks and Sea Food and both were fantastic. Also, I can tell you that the place is kid friendly. If youre planning to go on a Saturday, I recommend going early afternoon. We went there around 4 and it was fine, by the time we were leaving, the waiting area was full.

The good: Food was a 7 out of 10. Salad and breadsticks were excellent. Service was ok.. nice waiter. The bad: Overpriced considering the building, decor, seats, and especially the ambiance is dated, dilapidated and sad. Four people = $120 without cocktails or wine and just 2 sodas. Would have been better going to Kings Fish House or Cheesecake Factory or one of the small Italian places like Peppinos for the same price or less. So, overall good meal but experience overall worth about $80... not $120. My last trip to Olive Garden... at least this one.

Been here a couple of times and I love the food but unfortunately hated tonight!! The server Alicia was the worst I have ever met ! If I wanted the worst service in my life I should of just gone to a drive through ..she would ignore my table of four .. Im Hispanic and everyone around us was American and I felt a bad vibe as soon as I knew she was my server .. She was racist and disrespected me and my family and for that I will never return to this location again. I would of given it negative stars thats how terrible it was !! Making a call later tonight

Called in to inquire about what could be done within policy, for my wife and I as we celebrate our 2yr anniversary. I requested the manager (Ron I think) and he was too busy to even entertain my questions. This is key as I told him I was giving his location the benefit of the doubt, after looking at that locations reviews. He actually said he didnt give reviews much thought! No wonder the positive reviews are so far and in between! I received a totally different vibe from the Irvine location...Sue, Amy and Rob (from Irvine) you have my business!

The food as always was excellent and comforting. My family always choose olive garden Luke a regular tradition. When my grand mother was still alive she would always order the veal Parmesan and spaghetti!!!!!she is missed very much but for her birthday we always try to eat at olive garden and order a veal Parmesan dinner for her honor and we also bring a small cake to sing happy birthday to her. She went to heaven November16,2000. Me personally u like the salad and bread sticks but wish there were more black olives in it.
