WORST BIRYANI in LA(or anywhere in the world). Being a professional chef for over 10 yrs and growing up in India most of my life, Ive had Biryani more than a million time in half a million different places. And this is THE WORST one ever. Food was horrible. Biryani is known for its flavors and the most vital part of it, apparently there is no flavor in it. You can fool the people who no nothing about an authentic biryani not me. Being named as "Biryani house", I assume their best shot is Biryani and Its not even close to be okay. Violation of FDA regulation by using synthetic food coloring, which leads to stomach cancer, there are reasons that there is a law, guess they dont need to follow it! Traditionally the color is to be obtained by Saffron, I understand the price point so just dont use a fake unhealthy stuff. But if color is important increase the price and use saffron. Lets talk about service, if anyone ever complains that the french are so rude, I would recommend them to dine in this restaurant once in your life time, you would change your mind right away that the french are far better. No eye contact, no courtesy. Last time I heard smiling is good for you. When I walked in there is no one to help me seated or even to hand over a menu. I have travelled to 24 different countries and hands down this is THE WORST restaurant ever. Im never going back there even if I get the food for free.

DONT GO HERE! I would give it 0 stars if I could. Im not biased. I am Indian by ethnicity but love good biriyanis, regardless of who makes them. Each cook makes the biriyani based on family tradition. Theres no such thing as "Indian" or "Pakistani" biriyani. Heres what happened. I went with my wife, and the place was completely empty. We sat down at a table, and the manager came out. We thought he was going to greet us, but instead told us that we cant dine in. It was 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. He said, "No. No dine in." We told him that we can eat in take out containers and offered to clean our own table, but he said "No dine in. Take out only." We werent going to sit on the sidewalk on Prairie Ave. just so that we can eat a biriyani, so we left. Today, this manager lost more than a sale. He lost a customer for life. This is very very poor customer service. Without customer service, there is no customer, and without a customer, there is no business.

This is the first place I tried in LA.. so i cant exactly compare it to other, but this isnt exactly a great place, i have seen The food is average.. but the service is terrifying it was quite a afternoon, when i sat down to eat with 8 of my colleagues and we ended up serving ourselves... we were this close to cooking our own dishes Now that I think, I should have cooked my food too... might have made it better even if I burn them myself, Fish fry look like they died and then died a couple more times and then fell off the pan and burn themselves to crisp - dark, and a flavor I loved not to have ever again! Then there was the chicken pulao, and couldnt tell it aprt from the biryani And the shirmp tasted like Chicken in the shrimp biryani! Lassi was the best thing I had there and i tell you this I hve had a lot of lasi, and this was the last rank in my list I for one am not going back if it were upto me

I knew that I loved biryani, which for the uninitiated is a hearty rice & meat dish seasoned with cumin and touches of clove, star anise, and turmeric. Biryani House are bona fide Biryani Experts. Delicious! They take justified pride in their "Best Biryani in Los Angles" because its made very traditionally in the Karachi, Pakistani way with a lightly-hot tiny pot of savory sauce w/spoon, and they serve your biryani on a little platter with an empty plate so you can dish it out (and I definitely can, and eat it too, lol). Food, service, and prices: amazing. Location: on a busy avenue not ideal for parking but with a nice lot in back, I became a regular here on my first try! I. Love. It.

My opinion of all these reviews is that if you are smart and know the grudges between Indians and Pakistanis you would realize what the reviews are all about. The Indian names are giving terrible bad reviews and the Pakistanis are giving good reviews, I ordered some food today to go, so Ill give my opinion later. But so far I dont trust the reviews of the Indians as they NEVER supported Pakistani owned businesses, even though the Pakistanis proudly go to Indian restaurants and groceries with no prejudice You go figure The reason I gave it one star because most people like to know the negative first so here it is hahahah

Very rude..... Its says $15 or more for visa or master card. They asked me to pay in cash, but my bill was $40. When I said I dont have cash in my hand. The receptionist said something in their language (which means as* h**l). Anyway he took the C/C and charged me the amount. But when I came home and checked my bank statement it was $47 which was over charged. Will never come back and BE WARE EVERYONE WHO GOES TO THIS PLACE... KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AND ALL WALL PUT ZERO OR CUT OFF THE TIP PART.

I do not recommend this place to any person of color, very disrespectful, and lack manners. Soon as I walked in , the lady was already mad, this is the first question she asked: " What do you want ?". The tone of the voice was so harsh that I almost left but I said to myself, "you did not drive 6 miles to walk out without food". I am a lover of Indian cuisine but this restaurant just break us up.

You can read the entire review I wrote about Biryani House and published on Yelp here plagiarized word-for-word by someone named Curtis Degraff, who despite repeated protests to Google by me is nevertheless supported in his plagiarism against U.S. law. If you are in favor of supporting plagiarism, it appears that Fisher and Paykel will hire you, lol.

It is a kind of family kitchen and you taste it. Here you are far from the industrial restaurants. Many customers seem to be locals. I saw also what appeared as a group of Indian university students enjoying their dinner. The prices are very reasonable without compromising the quality.

Very delicious food, and nice service. I called and ordered Chicken Biryani, Lamb Biryani and Shrimp Biryani. I was at the place in about 10 minutes and the food was ready hot, and in boxes ready for pick up. Price was much lower than expected. The portion is really big and delicious.

I dont think you could call what they serve as Briyani. Just tamarind and meat added to rice - no spices whatsoever. Service was good and portions were huge. Would not come back here for sure

Rude people, biryani had more potatoes than meat(!) and was way spicy though we asked for mild. 2 stars are for the relatively better tandoori chicken. Not coming here again.

Great prices, real good food. I would say best naan outside of AL-noor. But honestly the Tika masala holds together great, cant beat a 10 plate of briyani that can last 2 days
