After one visit, the food was good, not great. definitely will go back and try different dishes next time. i got the lunch special. the saag dish was great! the lental dish was eh... and the chick pea dish was good. im sure i can find 3 dishes out of the many they serve that i will consider good to great. I gave it 4 stars because the brown rice was not good.. plain brown rice was a little hard and dry... wish they had more elaborate rice option, im not big on plain rice.... the inside atmosphere was excellent! fun to wander around the store and see all the different groceries. they also have a whole isle dedicated to english imports, including heinz beans in tomato sauce! oh yea, other let down was the bread that came with the lunch special... it was a heated packaged wheat tortilla!

Samosa House and Samosa House East are two of the best quick serve vegetarian options on the Westside. You order a combo at the counter, cafeteria style, then eat your combo in their simple dining room or the comfort of your own home. Some of my favorite dishes are the saag paneer, cauliflower, jackfruit, malai kofta, and of course, the delicious garlic naan. I really like that they prepare the naan fresh with each combo. Its a nice touch that makes a big difference when youre paying about $10 for the equivalent of a vegetarian Indian bento box. They also use biodegradable packaging and utensils at Samosa House, which is a big plus. I go to Samosa House at least once a month. Once you discover it, you will too!

The food here is extremely good and it also really good value for money. Unfortunately to get the food you have to endure a lone queue which is slowly worked by ineffective staff who seem to float around do very little. During your stay in the queue its very difficult to actually choose what you are going to order as all of the dishes and their little name tags are obscured by the queue in front of you. Staff serving customers were wondering off part way though serving to do other tasks which slowed the process down further. A Side dish which I had ordered didnt turn up so I had to go back up and request it again. Overall Im sure I would have had a good experience if I had gone at a quieter time.

If you love Indian curry food and you are Vegetarian or are transitioning into Vegetarian/Vegan then this place is for you! Have been going here for about a year, used to live very close to it and now that I live further I drive out of my way for their Jackfruit, its that good! Also they have one of the best mango chutneys Ive ever had and their Naan Breads are also amazing. Its like a little grocery store with items from around India, everyone there is really friendly. Lines can get a little long at certain times of the day, but theres usually plenty of tables available. One thing to know, the consistency of the dishes can vary, depends on who is in the kitchen I guess, but still always very good!

The bf and I needed to grab a fast meal and this place totally fit the bill. They have a good amount of choices for not being that large, and everything is vegetarian/vegan, with some dishes using mock meats. Ive been a couple of times now and everything has been very tasty! Its super no-frills (paper plates, plastic utensils, serve yourself water, decent amount of seating) but if you want good Indian food fast and cheap look no further. If you have some time to browse there is the Indian market and a little "bazaar" in the same area, which are pretty cool. Im a fan!

This place is one of my favorite Im-starving-and-want-something-amazing-and-quick-and-cheap places to eat. It is more of a Indian grocery store with a buffet/cafe, but it is clean, family-owned, and so good! Samosas so good. Mango lassis amazing. Jackfruit ridiculous. Tomato soup the best. GO. If you like Indian food, go. AND they listen to their customers. We complained about their use of styrofoam so now they use Earth-friendly products. Yay! Great for vegetarians and vegans. Extremely filling, but healthy. Go.

This place was decent overall. They had the standard dishes you might find at other Indian places. The samoas werent anything special. Nothing was amazing but nothing was horrible either. I would come here again if I was craving Indian. The parking on the other hand was very tough. The lot is behind the restaurant and is very tiny. Only like 4-5 cars could fit there when the restaurant could probably seat 25+. Its also on a busy intersection so street parking would probably also be difficult.

This place has some really unique dishes as part of the combo meal that you dont find in any other indian restaurant. The chaat items are good but not the best.. Its good to go with a group and order everything on the menu and try out everything.. The batura in the chole batura is very tasty (& oily) but the chole isnt that great.. Notable points: Unique dishes, Freshly made rotis (compared to the naans that you get in every other indian place), great mango lassi, great service.

I didnt think my favorite Indian food in la would be vegetarian but it is. Fresh bread, amazing dishes, deliciously spiced rice. Dont let the vegetarian aspect distract you from the fact that this is one of the best Indian restaurants around. Cheap too what else can you ask for. Recommendations include the vegan chicken, kofta, and jackfruit sides. Mango lassi is very good and made with real ingredients, you can sometimes taste a few granules of cloves. Highly highly recommend.

Been here before, thought the food was pretty good and the lady behind the counter was nice so I went again just for a simple cup of curry. Not sure if the dudes just hated me on sight or something but I was left standing for about ten minutes. They took my friends order and proceeded to ignore me. I left with no food because after ten minutes theres only so much I could take. At least my friend got her food? I wont be coming back; they obviously dont need my business.

We were on vacation at LA, and come to know about this place through Yellow Pages app. Amazing food lots of varieties, I tried Gujarathi Thali, My wife tried Rajasthani Thali, my mom had dosa. The day before we tried variety of curries with rice and naan. (We love the jackfruit curry) Justice done for your money and for your appetite. All compliments in the above statement, nothing much to say. If I visit LA again, 100% visit this place again for food.

Bar Catalina is a great bar with an amazing staff. The staff is extremely warm and welcoming and their attention to the finer details puts Bar Catalina on another level. Definitely a place you need to check out. Eat some flat breads and meatballs and drink a couple of their great cocktails. They also have a well crafted beer and wine selection so it may take a couple visits to try everything! Bar Catalina - New York, NY, United States. Great flatbreads!

I love every dish here. Their prices are more than reasonable and they always have different options out each night. The restaurant is within a grocery type store that has all sorts of treats such as honeycomb and jackfruit in addition to fresh produce. They offer indoor seating and to-go boxes as well. They have a nice variety of desserts too. Im always happy when I eat here and cannot wait to eat there again.
