KAJU TOFU is located at the intersection of Magnolia Ave. and Garden Grove Boulevard, in the area called, "Koreatown" in Garden Grove. There is only one dining room, and the first thing to impress the new diner is the elegant wallpaper, and the wooden hangings on the wall, which resemble culinary tools or perhaps musical instruments. At the rear of the dining room, the interested person can view the kitchen. Also, at this part of the restaurant is a decorative facade, which adds an extra dimension to the room. From time to time, waitresses carry bowls of sizzling soups through the aisles to various tables. The menu is printed on glossy paper, which can be taken home as a souvenir. The quality of the food is first-rate, and since this was only my first time, I had my usual, bibimbap. I was glad that this dish came with several bowls of kimchee, as well as a bowl of miso. In particular, I was impressed by the amazing flavor of a red-colored sauce on some crunchy sliced zucchinis. And now for the not-so-good news. The waitresses dont seem to know English. I asked if they had daikon (white radish), but they were puzzled. Also, during the course of the meal, the waitress never came by to ask if I was doing okay. The servings of kimchee, and of the miso, at KAJU TOFU are half the size of the servings at nearby CHAM SUT GOL. I have been to CHAM SUT GOL on three occasions, and they provide more types of kimchee, and each saucer has twice as much kimchee as at KAJU TOFU, and also CHAM SUT GOL provides a large salad with the bibimbap. My experience tells me that both restaurants are typically filled with a friendly crowd, which is a plus for me, because I like the commotion that is provided by a group of happy diners. At any rate, I think that Ill stick with CHAM SUT GOL, because their portions of kimchee are twice the size, and also because CHAM SUT GOLs kimchee includes daikon (daikon is my very favorite).

This is the best tofu place Ive ever tried. And the side dishes are also well-seasoned and neat. The amount and variety of side dishes might be smaller than other "BIG" franchise tofu restaurants, but they are neat and quite delicious. Or it would be simply better to serve bad seasoned and hardened dishes like the one across the street. As a tofu soup lover since born, I can confidently say that this is THE PLACE. No wonder it is so crowded after 9 p.m. on the weekdays. Oh, one small thing I want to mention. It needs expansion. The place is too small. Expand to the next shop which looks selling (or renting) out-of-date things.

This place used to be smaller, but they expanded and took over the video store that used to be there. Im so glad they did because it used to be such a longgggg wait. It has a very clean environment, great service, and delicious food. This place has my favorite side dishes (theyre unlimited) and I highly recommend getting their bibimbap! This is always a great destination to hangout and eat with my friends. You have a variety of soup to choose from with different level of spices. I also love that that they open late for those late night food runs. Overall, I highly recommend this place if youre searching for a Korean cuisine.

My favorite soft tofu place by far, and open super late. Dumpling, oyster, and ham & cheese (yes, really!) are my favorites. The bulgogi itself is good, but the bulgogi soup was a bit disappointing. The tofu has fantastic texture, and they have a good range of spiciness so that everyone can enjoy their soup. Tasty banchan (complementary little appetizers liked kimchi). Green tea is mediocre, but Shikyeh is tasty. Can get quite busy from 7-10pm, but theyve got a good system going. Its hard to catch the waiters eyes, but theyll come quickly if you push your table call button! All in all, highly recommend!

On Several occasions Ive been here with my family, weve enjoyed the food and the service. I leave my gratitude tip of 20% -25%, but lately the service has been poor. Last night I didnt leave a tip due to poor service, I was ASKED to leave a tip! I said no, because the service was poor. Again, I was asked for a tip and had to explain my self to the cashier and she didnt even bother to make me a satisfied customer or even apologize for the customer service received, all she was expecting was a tip like my previous visits. Sorry but Im one less customer!!

This is and continues to be one of my favorite tofu soup. The food is always delicious, and the portion is generous. If I am rating this place only on the main food, then it would have been perfect. However, with Korean food the side dishes are just as important and it really adds to the food. This is the one time it totally disappointed me, because the side dishes tasted really old, and not fresh at all, especially the bean sprouts. The service was great! The waitress was kind and constantly checked on us.

Fave place. They seem to skim on panchan now. But tofu soup still just as good. Staff can seem to be rude ..but they are just super busy and will get you what you ask for. I would still come again and again. Best item for me is pork kimchi tofu soup spicy. Make sure to eat the burned rice with the soup broth and a sliver of kim chi on top!!

This Korean tofu house has delicious broth. On the weekends and holidays it is packed! During weekdays it isnt too busy. I have had the beef tofu soup and veggie tofu soup. Both are excellent. I have young children and so they even make a non spicy one for the kids to eat. Their grilled mackerel was good and their Galbi was also delicious.

All other local restaurants were full with a long wait, so we ventured in here, not really wanting a burger but prepared to be tempted. The burger was nice which I had, the service was friendly and efficient and there was a decent choice of beers. A good burger joint overall if thats what youre wanting.

This place was amazing, I got seated fast, our orders were taken fast and came out fast with great service and flavour, and when they accidentally brought an extra dish, we cleared it up and didnt have to pay or anything, kept tea and water on hand, and THE FOOD WAS AMAZING

I prefer this tofu joint over BCD Tofu House. I always order the combo when Im here, all the combo comes with a small soup of your choice and a portion of rice. Very filling and good when you just got out of a bar and looking for food to sober up.

Have been coming here for 10 years ; it doesnt disappoint, sometimes too crowded which can mean good or bad service but for the most part service is consistent. My favorite is the spicy soft seafood tofu soup.

Best tofu soup in town when I am still able to eat tofu :( However, I still come here ofter for the mixed rice in hot stone pot. Nothing can stop me enjoy at Kaju except their always long waiting list *crying*
