If I could give this place a negative rating, I absolutely would. Let me explain: Sat down and the server took the drink order. The place is so loud that when I asked for a Sam Adams Boston Lager she kept saying you want "water"? After several times repeating myself she finally said okay. 35 minutes later, another server comes to the table and asks me if I had ordered a beer. Then proceeded to tell me the first server didnt understand what I had asked for. Now for the food, the actual meats were good. However we first ordered three meats. Waited 10 minutes and got one. Between the first order two other servers came by the table and asked if we wanted to order meat. We politely explained that we had ordered already. After the first meat came, we waited for the next two meats and they never arrived. This set off a game of ordering as much meat from every server that came to the table and out of every 4 meats we ordered we would get one. No kidding, the worst service EVER!!!! Dont come here expecting a good service experience! You have been warned.

We had a reservation for 5 people at 3pm but wasnt seated until 5:30pm. We ordered Bulgogi, brisket, fried calamari and popcorn chicken for the 1st round. The bulgogi and brisket came 40 minutes after we ordered. Each plate was only good for 1 person. They were tiny plates compared to other KBBQs weve been in. The next 30 minutes was spent cooking and eating what we had. We probably only had 3 bites each so we had to order more. An hour passes and we received nothing. Nobody refilled our water. At this point we are starving and the servers come to smile to say our orders are on the way and keep saying "Im sorry those usually take a while to get prepared". 20 minutes later we were asked to leave so that they can make room for other reservations. We argued that we barely ate anything and waited most of the time but they just kept saying sorry that our 2 hour limit has passed. This is the worst experience Ive ever had in a restaurant and Ill never come back here.

We found this place by accident while visiting family. It looked like a pretty happening spot from outside so we made plans to come back for a visit. When we first walked in it didnt seem that impressive but it was packed and had a club atmosphere. Heavy bass music pumped with a hip and energetic staff. Our server was Josh. He was extremely helpful and fun. He broke down every step of the experience. The food was great and we had a fantastic time. This was the first time weve visited a restaurant were you cook your own food but it was really cool. Its one price for all you can eat ($19) and they have about 30 different meats to choose from until you are completely satisfied. I cannot wait to return with family and friends to share this. Note: The ONLY reason I didnt give 5 stars is they dont yet have a full bar and the actual dinning area is a bit lackluster. Tip: Dont forget to try the macaroon ice cream sandwiches sold separately at the front door.

OMG! Yummy! Now you eatin yall, ok? This place is like Benihana, except you do the cooking. Fresh, lean cuts of meat, tons of fresh vegetables, whatever you want is brought to your table. Delicious high quality Sapporo beer..Great for groups and parties. If you are just by your self or with your guy or girl, you can sit at the bar for a more festive feel When I first saw this place years ago, I thought it was just another one of those cheesy Asian buffet places. My assumptions were wrong. Skip the Dennys that is just a stones throw away, and go to this place instead. Its a little more expensive, but who cares? Its also much better quality and service.

Tasty meat dishes, but no good options for kids. You look at the menu and ask the waiter to bring you your chosen dish. My wife asked for a steak, and it took a long time for them to bring it (its a frozen piece of meat, what could take so long?). Dessert is not included in the price. Also, if youre celebrating a birthday, theyll come and sing at your table, and will bring you a plate of pineapple slices (???) and, in lieu of a candle, you blow the flame of a waiters pocket lighter (???). Everything tasted great though and they were good about refilling drinks and changing the grill surface when it got dirty.

Like most other Gens, menus and price were consistent, and loved our server. He ended up bringing "3" of everything due to our party, and subtly we definitely appreciated that since bringing "1" of something wasnt enough. For example, we finished the mash super easily, and when we asked for more, he brought out a tray with a scoop of mash for each of us. Def very cool. The place is big, and dark like a night club. Parking is big, and is shared with many other great eateries in the area! Not many KBBQs in the area for sure.

I only come for two things at Gen. Premium Chadol #4 and Gen recommended premium steak #1. Ive been to Gen in Rancho 4 times and I must tell you....they serve some quality meat! I had a bad experience only once. Chadol quality was awkwardly different than other 3 occasions; it dried up without leaving any grease on meat. On the same day, premium steak #1 was awful as well because the meat was too chewy.....also the server didnt check up on us often when it wasnt busy at all. I left Gen with stomach unfull on that day :(

The food is good if you like meat (lots of meat), and the atmosphere has a fun, almost club-like feel. Dont expect this to be a quick meal, and know what youre getting yourself into when you order. This is all you can eat, and you cook everything yourself at your grill at your table. Also expect to wait for a table even if you come later than usual rush hours. We came at 8:30 and still waited 20min to be seated. That being said, it was a cool experience, and the staff was very friendly, despite being super busy.

We spend 1.5 hours here but most of time we were waiting for our food(about an hour) wait about 25mins for our sides and drinks, which supposedly need to be prepared before we be seated .poor meat quality.majority of our order had not been served even the last round. Our barbecue plate had only been replaced twice. We ended up giving up our order, however we can not even find a single server to get our check. Definitely the worst experience I had with Gen ever. Strongly not recommend this location.

Great if you like pork and beef, dont have alot allot of chicken and shrimp but very good food. Most of the time you do have to wait a while first time I went I waited an hour and 20 minutes. I called ahead and asked if I could reserve a table for a party of 7 and the lady told me no so when I arrived to give my name I asked again and the girl told me I could so that was very upsetting. But if youre into all you can eat and willing to wait then its the place for you!
