6/3/13 HOW ABOUT A LITTLE LESS BURNY AND A LITTLE MORE YUM? So a really long drive on a one-lane road finally ended and we reached Fort Bragg a short while later. Somewhat irritated and definitely hungry. We ordered one half plate order of beef ribs ($10) with a side of mac and cheese, and a salad for me ($5). I asked if the dressing was homemade and ordered blue cheese after hearing it was. I love homemade blue cheese. Unless it comes in a container thats been sitting too long and its all separated looking and watery on top. Thats how this arrived. I used one of the containers I was given but it honestly didnt have much flavor so I put BBQ on the rest of my salad. Weird... I know. I dont even like BBQ sauce much. The mac and cheese was good. I liked it but husband didnt. He is more of a Kraft mac kind of guy. He likes creamy cheese. I like homemade mac with the more grainy texture of real melted cheese. I thought this one was delicious. The ribs were just okay. I attend the national rib cook off every year in Reno. For years I spend a day devouring the best rib cookers from around the country. So I know what passes as good ribs and the ones we were served probably wouldnt have gone very far in the competition. for one, they were just slightly too burned. The seasoning had lost its flavor and a burny taste replaced it. It looked like a good, heavy seasoning too. I imagine with salty goodness. But Ill never know. The BBQ sauce didnt do much so we ate the ribs as they were, our mouths filling with disappointment. One of the ribs had a shockingly small amount of meat. I know that this is bound to happen. Not every rib can be hunky with meat, but... it just doesnt seem fair to serve these sometimes. The rest of the ribs were very meaty. They were a little grisly, but I expect that on beef ribs and it didnt bother me. Only the burny taste did. I probably would have gone with three stars but I was really on the fence because of the quality. I decided two-star as I recalled that I asked for my reuseable water container to be filled. They cannot take it and fill it. The girl brought out a disposable cup of water for me. I poured this into my container, but the whole point of reuseable is to reduce waste. At least she could have brought it in a plastic pitcher/glass that could be washed. Restaurants that arent somewhat conscious about how much waste they generate dont make my heart happy.

This used to be our favorite place to eat when we come to FT Bragg. We always ate here. Moved out of state. Havent been back in 16 months. Naturally, wanted to hit our favorite. Did they change hands? Online says closes at 8. But the night before, it was closed when we drove by at 7:30, so we call. They say 9, and just hung up on me. We call to place an order for pick up. We got 2 orders of the whole rack pork ribs.. They were pretty good. Beans are just aweful. Potato salad and macaroni salad and cole slaw were all so bland. Corn bread was inedible. We also got a half rack of beef ribs. We wanted a full, but at 4 30 they said they only have half rack left. Turns out that was fine. They had almost no meat on them, and they were BLACK. Last, we got a full order of brisket. It just crumbled, tasted like it sat on a counter for hours, and was dry. We were EXTREMELY dissapointed.

Service was great when I visited this place for lunch. Staff was very friendly and food was served fairly quick. Prices are in the $10-15 range for lunch items. I had the blacked fish and chips and it was fantastic. Two large fillets of local rock cod and fries that were amazingly flavorful. The Cole slaw was a little bland but overall my meal was fantastic. Somewhat decent view from the dining area but the traffic is a bit noisy. Would reccomending thus place and will visit again.

Took 25 minutes to receive my single order. The register operator was also the cook. MUST wash hands every single time after handling money. I do not believe this is being done, because I was very sick after eating their food. My Beef ribs were burnt, I now wonder how old my potatoe and Cole slaw was. Advice for the adventurous, ask to review their "current" food and safety certification, and the health department certification, before deciding to partake.

Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill over the last year or so. The boyfriend and I would come here all the time, impressed with the food. The last three times weve been back, our orders have been wrong, the food quality has been mediocre, or theyve been out of certain menu staples. The best part about this place is the BBQ sauces. Three distinctively different flavors that are made in house. Id put that stuff on anything.

I wish I could put up the pictures of the food we ordered. It was on the verge of nasty. The pulled pork didnt even taste or look like pork. The fries looked and tasted like they were cooked in old nasty oil. They were dark dark brown like close to black! Yuck!! However the clamchoweder was pretty good no bread bowl though that was disappointing! ! Would not recommend! Oh and it was very pricey for What they are serving! ! !

Meh. This place wasnt very good. The server was super uninterested, short, and didnt answer our questions about the menu. I ordered the whole chicken. It came out really dry and soggy, an odd combination. The tables were sticky. For the portion I got, 20$ seemed pricey. They also dont have water cups, so expect to pay for water.

The brisket was smoky & delicious and the spicy sauce excellent but it was very disappointing when I asked the young lady taking my order what she recommended and she made a face and said she doesnt really eat meat so she wouldnt know. Who would hire such a person to sell your bbq? Common sense has departed.

the staff was horrible very rude my hamburger was trash literally burnt to nothing the fries looked like sweet potato fries when they first came out but turns out they just were burnt also never will i ever again eat here if i could give zero stars i would

Got the WORST fish and chips ever. Chips were overly fried nearly burnt. Fish looked as if someone didnt care. Taste wasnt good at all. The Cole slaw made it worst. Very disappointing. There was a sign of not caring and give the consumer anything.

The blacked fish and chips very good,it was nice to have fish that was not breaded and deep fried,plaese try,pork ribs have a deep smoky flavor, liked alot,frys not so much, if they change frys they wood get 4 stars

Best bbq ribs Ive had in years. Tender juicy flavor just fell off the bone. Good fries, good onion rings, good Mac salad. Friendly. Dont let the outside fool you, do yourself a favor and eat at The Q

Nice small clean place. I had the pulled pork onion rings and a rootbeer, everything was cooked perfect and the service was friendly and fast. A nice variety of bbq sauces at the table

Sorry Capn Flint, but this is my new favorite fish n chips. Although the blackened fish isnt the same as the battered style, we love it! (OK, Capn Flints is very good also...)
