I read some reviews on that other site (which I wont name) and everyone raved about their BBQ. I had their smoked ribs, nothing to write home about, the meat didnt have the slight chewiness that I like with my pork ribs, but it also wasnt fall off the bone good either. The BBQ sauce it came with was pretty generic. They said the sauce was spicy but no hint of heat any where. I also got the Jalapeno poppers which was half a grilled jalapeno stuff with cream cheese and topped with bacon bits. One was had heat while the other wasnt spicy at all. I also tried the deviled egg topped with pork belly, the egg lacked season and the pork belly wasnt enough to give it the pop. The service here is good and friendly, dont come too late because they start running out of stuff.

Great barbecue, best in Humboldt County in my opinion. The spicy coleslaw is super good too. The five stars are well deserved on there own but I also wanted to counteract the idiot who gave a one star rating because they dont have any vegetarian options. Its a barbecue restaurant! Asking them to have vegetarian options is like asking an Italian restaurant to serve sushi. If youre a vegetarian dont expect a barbecue restaurant to cater to you and then give them a low rating because they dont. Just get your food somewhere else.

Nice, cozy environment with options to eat inside and out. Main entrees (burrito and sandwich) were both delicious, but the sandwich we ordered was missing cheese (until requested), lukewarm, and most likely the last of stock for the day. The creamy coleslaw...everything but creamy - tasting wholly of cabbage. Theres room for such potential, but currently not worth the $10-$12 tag for products listed. Good for a BBQ fix, but not for a hearty meal option.

This place was down-right nasty. They had a problem with Insects These little gnat fly bug things kept buzzing around and trying to land on my food. And the food was horrible nasty under cooked and the little fly things kept trying to land on my food I couldnt take more than 2 bites before I got sick to my stomach had to spit my half chewed bite back on to my plate then by that point I gave up and decided to just let the d*** insects have the food.

Friendly service, fair prices, filling and good food. Meat had a wood smoked flavor, achieved by a commercial pellet smoker. Good local BBQ place. Only reason why I do not give it a five star review is because; its no Arthur Bryants, meaning not a legendary spot. Kansas city, the Carolinas, Texas, all have traditions. This place isnt authentic burn barrel barbecue.

I like the place for lunch, but Im going for meat and I put sauce on it. If you want Mac and cheese or a big dinner meal then not fit you. The burritos are really good, probably my favorite. For me one star is a walk out cant eat.....2 is horrible service bland food....3 is ok for ok service... 4 is good for nice people....5 is awesome for awesome service :)

I ordered the BBQ Burrito with chicken and potato salad. The burrito was delicious. The salad was average but not bad. I felt the size of the burrito was on the small side for $9.99 but overall a good lunch. I got there around 11:45 on a Wednesday and it quickly developed a long line after that so get there early if you are in a hurry.

Staff are friendly but we can never go here because there are no vegetarian options (I think theres a side you can get, like coleslaw). Ive gone here to pick up food for others and also have carried in food from another restaurant so I could eat with my friends. It would be awesome if they started carrying a seitan option!

Was really excited for bbq, and it smelled great inside. It was more expensive than i was comfortable with but thought itd be worth it. Unfortunately my sandwich was pretty bland and mac n cheese was fairly tasteless as well. Disappointing.

I love the food at Humboldt Smokehouse! The burnt ends are delicious and the bacon is Amazing!! The burritos with burnt ends, smoked cream cheese, and coleslaw is so yummy....and thats coming from someone who doesnt normally eat coleslaw!

Really good surprisingly, not expensive easy to understand menu and drink setup, first time was recently and i have nothing to complain about, i recommend going here to anyone looking for decent lunch or something to munch

i ate there once, it wasnt very good. gave them a second chance with their thick cut pastrami sando, terrible and cheap sandwich bread, poor presentation and portions. $16 for a sando soda and side. Avoid.

Great meat. We had the meat box with pulled pork, brisket and pork loin. AWSOME. Good quality of meat. The seating area could be greater, but it is all about the meat.
