After dining there several times, my wife and I have always enjoyed the food. Often times what makes or breaks a place for us is the people, which is the case this time and we wont be back because clearly, my kind is only good for giving money. Upon arriving, we heard a loud and bousterous lady in the main dining area who was talking with customers. Were somewhat quiet people and dont care too much for those who lack an internal audio button. turns out, this was the owner. When we decided to go there for dinner we didnt think we would need ear muffs for our child, but alas after a few F and S Bombs dropped in open air from the owner, we were kinda stunned. We could tell the people behind us were not pleased either and it looked like they cut their meal short to get out of earshot of the owner. We, on the otherhand, stuck around and found out that, hey, guess what.... the owner hates men, as she exclamed while talking to a freind/patron. Wow....so she hates half to three-quarter of her staff and customer base? Again.....internal volume and self awareness are not bad traits to utilize when in a customer service orientated industry, While Im happy for the success of the business and how it has overcome adversity with the fire and landslide, we dont want to eat somewhere in which 2/3rds of our family is loathed and gender bashed. If we heard this out of context, all apologies for the remarks, but it seemed pretty clear as she was at a table right next to us spilling her life story to her freind with apparently no sense of spacial awaerness. Anyone else experienced this there?

As mentioned elsewhere, Ranch House BBQ is worth the drive. Weve been here several times, even bringing family from out of town to check it out. In all fairness, neither one of us consider ourselves BBQ experts. However... we love meat. This place has meat. Hot, delicious, BBQd meat. Pork, chicken, and beef plates galore, the menu here doesnt leave much off. Our standard picks are the pork rib racks and beef brisket, both of which rock. Theyre dry rubbed, so, they dont arrive at the table swimming in sauce. Thats up to you, as several squirt bottles are provided on the table. The sides are fairly ubiquitous: baked beans, corn, coleslaw, and a side of corn bread. You get the picture. Theyre all tasty, but, the real show is the meat. While the Ranch House isnt a cheap eats kinda place, its well worth the cost. Both the cost of the food and the cost of the gas to drive out there. Just writing this makes me want to take a road trip out for some tri-tip.

Wow! Reading these reviews I am astounded! We travel by here frequently. When we can, we stop in and either eat in or, more often, take out. I have NEVER, EVER had bad food or service from these folks! Their BBQ is world-class, I speak from extensive traveling and eating a LOT of BBQ. Prices? Well, its not fast food cheap, but its not bad. Service? The times when we have eaten in, it was flawless. The second your plate comes, nothing else matter but THE FOOD! The ribs.... oh my GOD! The brisket, the chicken, the french fries! Now here is a warning, this place gets BUSY for a REASON, the FOOD! If you are thinking of dropping in at a busy time, you WILL be waiting for a table! All-in-all, one of our favorite places, one we proudly take our visitors too, because they are not going to get any better food ANYWHERE!

Ranch House catered a wedding at our home a few weeks ago. The food was what you would expect, nothing special. The owner, Amy, was far from what you would expect. From the moment she arrived, the chip on her shoulder was massive. It took two days to compile all the Amy stories from the guests. From demanding she be allowed to serve 45 minutes early, to ordering guest tables be moved, from a near fist fight with a prominent guest that the DJ had to break up, to telling the mother of the bride she had 3 other gigs that day and we were lucky she showed up at all. I have never been treated this badly by a business owner in my life. Truly, she must have been off her pills. The contract had a mandatory gratuity and she got paid before she unloaded. I want my tip back.

Dont know if it was a fluke or what? Place has awesome reviews but my first (last) visit was honestly terrible. 1. Combo plater meat was cold 2. Brisket that was cold was also shredded ( bottom of pan scraps) and not sliced. We told them it was cold they brought sliced Brisket. It was up to temp. 3. Full rack (best rack in town) burnt and dry probably worst rack Ive had . 4. Beans from a can at least add those Brisket scraps to it. No meat in the beans. 5. Not many side options ?! No Mac n cheese , no sweet tea?!?. You should invest in a steamer to reheat the food with. :) free tip from someone who is from MO and has cooked in REAL BBQ joints. :( 50$ down drain

I went with a group of people and everyone elses food looked good, but I ordered their brisket. When the waiter first put the plat in front of me, I thought he screwed up and brought me the pulled pork, but after a second glance I noticed it was in fact beef, piled up in a sloppy mess looking nothing like any brisket serving Ive ever seen. It came out quick, the meat was half cold and was awful. Their cheesy garlic fries had one big lump of garlic, but otherwise were tasty, the means emphasizes on the fries being "hand cut" if this is true than the chef has OCD because every fry was cut to the exact same width. If you go, order ANYthing other than the brisket.

After a week of vacation and on our way home, my husband and I had planned to eat lunch at Ranch House BBQ. At 1pm it was a busy time in your restaurant. We were surprised to be seated quickly, our order was taken right away and the food was served quickly. Of course our meal was delicious (as we have eaten in your restaurant before) and we loved every bite. We had two different gentlemen (servers) come to our table at least 4 times to assure we enjoyed our meal and to see if we needed anything else. As you know, customer service is so very important in a business. Both my husband and I were so impressed with the service we received.

I moved here from Dallas and kept hearing about how great this was. Its ok. I get that the right woods are hard to get here.My brisket was overcooked, moist but cooked to the point of almost not even meat. The ribs were the cheaper spareribs, membrane wasnt peeled but I guess thats the preference. It makes for a rubbery meat. It was better than famous daves...but if you have had good barbque...it want worth all the hype. Keep in mind barbque competitions are judged by 3 to 6 people usually. Thats whos telling YOU who to buy when you see trophies everywhere. I tend to not be impressed with a stores ability to travel to competitions.
