This place was a spur of the moment "give it a try." Let me tell you, it was absolutely well worth it. After seeing a movie it was convenient to just walk next door. We were sat down immediately and the waitressing staff were extremely friendly. The atmosphere was exceptional. You are also able to sit down at the "bar" and watch the chefs cook. We ordered the beef teriyaki and salmon sashimi Tomo dishes - both were exceptional. The Sashimi was the best Ive ever had. This place is definitely a once a week must for me! The prices are very decent. The only downside is that there are no utensils provided other than chopsticks. This can be an inconvenience to some people. Give it a try! Its delicious and worth it. :)

I had the 16 piece Sashimi Dinner ($28) very disappointed that were just four different pieces: tuna, yellow tail, salmon and one vaguely brown white fish. while the quality was fine, there could have been 2 pieces of 8 different sashimi and it would have been a much more interesting dinner. I talked to the sushi chef afterwards, he said if asked, they can go slightly "off menu."

Modern looking Japanese restaurant specialized on sushi and teriyaki. It is conveniently located by the movie theaters and the BART station. It is neither cheap nor expensive (prepare to spend around 20 bucks for your meal), and it can be crowded in the evening, before the movies. What I tried and I liked: cherry blossom sushi

Some of the best sushi and sashimi Ive had since my last visit to Tokyo. Of course the California rolls are great. Kids liked the Teriyaki Beef. Music videos provided some fun entertainment and were syncd with the speakers in the dining room.

Edit: Updated review. I dont know what has happened here, maybe just laziness, but quality has gone down. The tempura batter is like armor. It actually hurts the soft tissue of your mouth to bite. I gave them three tries, and its done. Bummer.

I walked in on a Thursday before a matinée movie. Service was quick, the portions were usually generous, it was clean, noise was moderate, and the food was well presented and delicious! Pricing was reasonable too. I loved it.
