Dined here today, and my goodness- what a disappointment. This was our first visit. Ordering from the lunch menu, our meals were priced at $9.50 each for veggie yakisoba and chicken yakisoba. The chef took his position at the grill and immediately produced an impressive fireball bright enough to momentarily blind me. A bowl of rice and clear broth soup (not miso) was served. The rice had a suspiciously buttery flavor and certainly not the plain white steamed I was expecting. This is NOT authentic. The chef cooked the vegetables on the cooktop and served those first. It was another 10 minutes or so until the rest of the meal was prepared and served. Did not care for that, but we were not given a choice as to seating, as we were led to the grilling tables immediately upon arrival. The bill was another story. At $32.00, a far cry from what was advertised on the lunch menu, even with soft drinks. Inquiring with the cashier at checkout, we were told because we ordered a vegetarian yakisoba (apparently not on the lunch menu), we were charged the full dinner price of $13.00 Even so, this bill did not compute. A bit miffed, but not wanting to bemoan the discrepancy (they have sharp objects here, you know?), we left. Let me add that the vegetarian dish my boyfriend ordered was completely void of noodles. Um, this IS yakisoba, right? Thankfully, my portion was large enough I wound up having a fair amount of noodles to offer him, but still...this was an unusual meal service. The waitress should have advised us to order two chicken yakisoba dishes, and told the chef to leave the chicken out of one in order to have the lunch price.

This place has roaches in the bathroom but the management doesnt care. The service is terrible and the food comes out burnt and there is nothing you can do about it. The prices are super high and they give small portions. Several people warned me not to come but I didnt listen. When I asked to have my filet mignon cooked medium they made it burt well done I asked for a manager and the waitress told me she was the acting manager because he never comes in and the manager is the owners brother who is never around. I was told I had to pay for the food and take it as is so I did and took a picture of it and tried 5 times to call and write online to reach the Manager but never heard back. I even filed a complaint with Groupon since I used them for this dinner and Groupon still has not heard back from the restaurant its been 6 weeks.

Weve been to Tokyo probably more than 10 times so its time for a review! Every time we have come here we always have a fantastic experience. The food is delicious as is their orange sauce. The chefs will cook your meal differently if you have dietary restrictions I.e. no butter, salt, soy sauce etc. I find they are more than open to learning what you want and doing it. The chefs presentation is great. Weve had different types of chefs and their personality and jokes are never the same. The chefs make jokes, talk to the babies at the table and make everyone feel comfortable. The food is large portions and you can get sushi. They also have a full bar. Ive come with partys of 2 all the way to partys of 15 and have always received the same high level of service. I will come back and recommend someone to eat here in a heartbeat.

My family and I have spent 1000s in the last several years at this restaurant. Many times the service was shaky, but the entertainment of the cooking process and the food was good. On the most recent visit, our cook zombie walked through the food preparation without a smile, slopping our servings on our plates and into tea and onto the table. The rice was undercooked, the chicken like a chip. Our server didnt check to see if we wanted or needed anything else. The tip was grabbed off the table before we had all finished eating and were still chatting. The expansion and ambiance are very nice, but the prices are higher and service is of lower quality. When a small group pays over $300 for a lunch, the service and attitude should be much higher.

Very spendy, and you would get a better show from a clown at a 3-year olds birthday party. The portions were very small, each course was prepared in serial--not parallel--and the food was nearly tasteless. They would fix one part of the meal, and you would eat it as you waited (through horrifically tired jokes) while they fixed the next. An exceptionally painful experience. To top it off, the place was very dark, probably to highlight the flares from the grill--and to hide how dirty the floors were. Not only will we not be back, we tell everyone of our experience so they wont waste money on this place.

Yum Yum Yum!! I live right down the block from this restaurant and ALWAYS go there for special occasions, in a large group, or just for a fun dinner. There have been a couple times I have gone where the server was not too friendly or his personality did not strike me as professional, but 99% of the time, they are friendly and are always great cooks. The place is always clean, food is pipping hot and delicious! I do not think the prices are high, about $25 per person...that includes much more food you would get anywhere else.

The outside looks kinda run down, but inside is nice. Warm, inviting and has the dim lit Japanese feeling. Great food. The portions might be light but $35.00 for 2 people/ lunch and an hour turnaround was pretty good! Too many sprouts for me though. Cooks were entertaining and quick. I did not have Sushi, but the bar and food and general overall appearance is inviting and relaxing and impressive. Ill bet a Friday night here with drinks is fun! I hope to be back soon. Highly recommend.

I love Tokyo are family has been going here for 10 years. Now it is our 5 year old daughters favorite restaurant. She asks us to go there atleast once a week. We are always greeted by name and treated like VIP. Our favorite is the Shrimp, Filet, and Fryed Rice with the A-2 sauce poored all over it. Thanks Bonsi for excellent service and we love the new facelift too. Mandy, Jarrod and Parker.

I didnt try the sushi. But when they prepare the food, they are SLOW and seem to have given me half the portion of what the people across from me got when they split it. (only three scallops and they are not cheap.) The portions overall are very small and the service is really bad. There is no "show" but I dont much care for that. The only reason its on one star is because the taste wasnt awful.

Well lets see the phone number above does not work for them. it sends you to a what seems to be a cell phone voice mail box, they did not have our reservation when I had called ahead bye like 2 wks, The service was not all that great, and they really did not specify what was in each dish. We had a few picky eaters in our group so they cant really pick what they want out. I would not go again
