A charming dinner-for-two kind of place. WEEKLY SPECIALS: Mon. - 30% off all mussel dishes, 50% off draught beers Tue. & Wed. - all you can eat mussels (choose from 17 different styles), 28$ Thu. - No corkage, 2 bottles of 750mL/table, min. purchase of 1 entrée/person Fri. & Sat. - prix fixe served all night Sun. - Brunch: bottomless mimosas, 18$ (until 3pm) Dinner: wine bottle half off Based on a Tuesday night dinner, 7pm: All patio seating were occupied, so we snagged the last table for 2 inside. The interior is accessorized with warm lighting, large mirrors, dark wood, and merlot colored walls. Wine bottles and bowls of flavorful mussels and seafood found a spot on every table. All eaters indulging happily in conversation with their company and tabletop deliciousness. FOOD * Scottish Salmon: Grilled organic salmon, ratatouille in a sun-dried tomato sauce, $26. This was fantastic. My dinner companion ensured there was no speck of fish or drop of sauce left on the plate. I snuck a taste of this and definitely wouldve done the same. The fish was cooked superbly, a slight "crispy" outside, a softness to the flesh inside. * Mussels Pot: Small ~ 8-10 mussels, $17; Large ~ 16-20 mussels, $26 served with fries or salad. I went for the OCEAN style: clams, whitefish, PEI mussels, calamari, tomato confit, garlic, chablis and thyme in a saffron broth w/garlic aioli croutons. The combination of all the different seafood, herbs, garlic and saffron make it a grand performance of flavors. In addition to soaking some bread into the broth, I even found myself drinking it straight up. The large was a good amount, a few mussels too much for a petite female/decently big eater, but its tough to leave anything in the bowl. Id go back to try more styles, like BISQUE (lobster broth, garlic, white wine, brandy, tomato confit, cream) and MARINARA (merlot, galric, shallots, spicy marinara). PARKING Go for the garage structures, first 2 hours free. Meet in Paris for a night, if not seafood and wine, then steak and beer. Allez-y!

If youre looking for a French place for brunch or dinner in Downtown Culver City, come check this place out! [DINNER] $26.95 AYCE Moules Frites (Black Mussels & Fries) on Tuesday and Wednesday Nights! :) There are 17 different flavors/choices of mussels! :D What we tried: *Meet in Paris (crab, shallot, saffron, tomato confit, bacon, basil, Chablis) - This was ok. *Roquefort (Garlic, shallots, Chablis, Roquefort, chives, cream) - One of my favorites! Has a nice cheesy flavor. If you like blue cheese, youll love this! *Italiano (Proscuitto, caramelized onions, goat cheese white wine, crushed walnuts, roasted garlic and pesto) - That was ok. *Ocean (Clams, whitefish, PEI mussels, calamari, tomato confit, garlic, Chablis and thyme in a saffron broth served with garlic aioli croutons) - Very good! A nice mix of different seafood items in the soup. Also strong wine flavor. *Marinara (Merlot, garlic, shallots, spicy marinara) - Pretty good. Reminds me of mussels dipped in pasta or pizza sauce. *Bisque (Lobster broth, garlic, white wine, brandy, tomato confit, cream) - DELISH! The flavor was done really well. My friends and I licked the whole bowl clean and even used the bread to scoop up the sauce! We ordered it 2x! :) *Paella (Calamari, chorizo, shrimp, peas, tomato confit, red bell pepper, saffron, white wine, lemon, parsley, and shallots) - This was ok. It was very soupy and had a strong wine flavor. Didnt really taste like paella to me. [BRUNCH] *Bottomless Mimosas for $16.95 *Croque Monsieur (Black forest ham, melted gruyere, bechamel, on a country bread) $12.95 - Tasty! I really enjoyed this dish. Good flavor and texture. [SEATING] Indoor or outdoor in the patio area. They have heat warmers when its colder. [PARKING] Meters or you can park in the various city lots. You can park for 2 hours free. Overall, a great place to get fulfill my craving for French food. :)

My wife and I were looking forward to eating here tonight. We had an 8:30 reservation. We checked in at 8 and were told it would be 10 minutes. Additionally, their website expressly advertised a $44 3-course fixed price. So, we sat at the bar to wait for our table and asked them about the fixed price menu. They said the fixed price menu was for restaurant week only. When we pointed out the deal was listed all over their website, they told us the "web must not update right away" and that we were stuck with what they have. 15 minutes came and went, and we checked in on the reservation. They told us, "your reservation is at 830." Of course, that doesnt square with telling us it would only be 10 mins. When we asked what was going on, they could not explain. Between the incompetent hostess, the rude manager on duty, and the useless wait staff we had already decided to leave. However, as we never walk out of restaurants, I wanted to make clear what the problem was. We were met with "shhhhhhhhhh" like it was kindergarden nap time. Maybe the recession is over here and business is booming. But, for a new restaurant in a competitive area, this was unbelievably bad and rude conduct. Your money is better spent at Fraiche, Fords, Rush Street, Gyenari, St Amor, or really anywhere else. Indeed, lighting your money on fire and watching it burn would be a better use of it than this. I should add that my wife and I go out at least once a week, and I have never ever written a review. But, this treatment was so unbelievable that I just had to write and warn people (of course, if you like rude, incompetent clowns waiting on you, then you should definitely waste your money here).

Come for the completely bland food and stay because the waitress wont bring the check. Meet in Paris ranks as one of the most average breakfast spots in Culver. Over easy eggs were overcooked to the point of being difficult to cut and the bacon was the newspaper thin cheap stuff. The omelet, while big and packed with vegetables, was missing flavor of any kind. On a more positive note the Potatoes were well seasoned and nicely crispy and the coffee was dark and full bodied. The cramped seating offers a great opportunity to listen to every conversation around you. Many customers also choose to bring pets, which are allowed on the patio. While this is fine for coffee houses that are more spread out, its more obnoxious here due to the tight quarters. A customer wasnt allowed to bring their dog inside so instead they tied it up outside where it proceeded to bark for the next 20 minutes. Anyone with even a shred of decency would have been embarrassed enough to fix the situation by getting food to go or going somewhere else entirely. Instead everyone on the patio was given a lesson in silent loathing towards the uncaring people who couldnt leave the dog at home. Then again, service was awful so maybe they couldnt get food to go. While our waitress was friendly she was completely vacant when it came time to refill coffee or water or give us the check. I actually considered running to the bank nearby to pay cash just to avoid a longer wait. In the end I see no reason to come back. Food wasnt entirely bad but certainly wasnt good enough to make me crave it ever again.

I had this place bookmarked for brunch and bottomless mimosas, but lets be honest--Im never going to make it out here for brunch! Lets be grateful I made it out here at all... Came here with Stephanie P. for coffee and dessert after a very confusing visit to the Museum of Jurassic Technology nearby. We love Paris so this place called out to us--who doesnt want to meet up in Paris? Since we came here in the middle of the afternoon we were seated right away, and we asked for a patio table since the weather was so nice outside (but we wanted shade). Stephanie was quite happy to see that they serve Illy coffee here. Im not a big coffee drinker and was not familiar with this brand, but she said they were good. I ordered their Iced Latte and it was pretty good (but frankly, coffee is just coffee to me...) We shared their creme brulee (vanilla bean, turbinado sugar). It looked so beautiful and we had fun cracking that beautiful caramelised sugar top with our spoons. Unfortunately, the dessert itself was just okay. Creme brulee is my absolute favourite dessert, so that was disappointing. Even worse, there was something just a tad bit off about this one... but neither of us could figure out what it was. Strange. Ah well, we still enjoyed our time here. A nice place to stop in for some coffee and chitchat. And apparently brunch if you are in the area during that time...
