I stumbled upon this place because of a Groupon. Its next to Marina Del Rey, and theres plenty of parking in the lot. Good spot for breakfast/brunch. Its very French, from the cashier to the waiters - they all had French accents. Which, you may already know, they are very dry and straight forward people. Its not that they are rude, not at all, just not overly-friendly. You have to order inside, where theres a market with all sorts of international products - wine, candy, etc. I ordered a custom omelet and a cappuccino. They food was well prepared (not that you can severely screw up that) and came out relatively quickly. Dont expect frou-frou and enjoy it for what it is. As long as you understand this, youll probably enjoy your meal.

What I Ordered - French Jam Crepe - French Style BLT on a Croissant Parking lot is small! You can try to park on the street, if youre lucky. Order first at the cashier before you choose your table! Otherwise, you would walk around like idiots until you see the sign. :P The food took forever to come out. French Jam Crepe was not good. Do not order this lol. It tasted like old jam with a flavorless crepe. :( My French Style BLT on a Croissant was good but, my croissant was a tad burned and the eggs were overcooked, with a black rim on the outside and only partial runny yolk. Not picture worthy as the ones on Yelp. I had such high hopes for this place. I wont be back. Overpriced food with so many errors. :(

I love like the location and the crowd for this place but Im not impressed with their food. The raved French Onion Soup" that people talk about here (with a hint or rosemary) tasted like it was watered down. Their french bread sucked and their sandwich wasnt too good. (Didnt tast authentic...I mean, french to me...) I will go there if you want to dine with pretty unique and above average looking people. If you are looking or craving for some french cafe experience, not recommended. (Other than french or european people hanging out together...)

Been here 4 times before posting the review. Good place for morning coffee, service not so much. Lady at the cashier probably raised in a military camp or kidnapped by Belgians when was little. Not a smile or a greeting. So no waiters, you order at the cashier and take a number to sit with. Hard to know what is what on the menus if the cashier is the lost twin of the soup Nazi. Overall the food is decent, and outside is great to sit, however it feels disjointed due to the grim greetings.

Good french food for not so french prices. We had a lamb stew, quiche, flat bread and a tiramisu. Everything was good. Had a bottle of wine, good price and good wine. In fact we purchased another bottle to take home. You just pay for the wine from their shop (They sell bakery items, desserts etc.) and they will serve it to you.

Yes most of the servers here speak fluent French but my omelette was absolutely tasteless. The place itself is a small grocery market with adjacent patio for patrons. The lady at the register was a bit rushIng me as I was trying to get something else. Not the kind of experience you expect.

Adorable find with great menu, tucked away in a secret Market of plants, koi fish pond with waterfall, trees and a tent cover. French food choices with great strong coffee and good service. We lucked out finding this little gem enroute to the Market .

Nice outdoor patio. The espresso drinks are authentic. The food is good, not great. Kind of simple French foods. The croissants are not flaky. The attitude of the staff is less than welcoming. Kind of make you feel like theyre doing you a favor.

Cycling to Venice beach from our rented bungalow and came across this amazing street side cafe. The choice of food and drink in amazing considering its size. Would highly recommend anybody passing by to stop and try this great little place.

Great little casual spot for a morning coffee or a tasty breakfast. Like most places around Venice, its pretty expensive, but it really is a sweet spot. I highly recommend the breakfast BLT on a croissant

We sat outside and enjoyed baguettes with duck mousse and pate de Campagne with a couple of glasses of wine. Everything excellent! Baguette so good. Service and ambience was awesome. Will be back again.

The ambiance is good. Outside seating makes it nice when its bright and sunny day. I had Ratatouille which comes with a small salad appetiser. Ratatouille tasted ok. Also try the cream of tomato soup.

A perennial favorite. Low-key, good food, quiet atmosphere, outside seating ... all plusses in my book! Order inside and theyll bring the food to your table. Great coffee, great pastries, too!

Favourite local spot. HIdden gem complete with good (european standard) coffees and fresh food. My usual is the Cheval on a croissant with a side of bacon - yum! Heading there right now.

I did not like the service. i did notice they were really welcoming and warm to white patrons. All the while we got the glaring eyes and the nose in the air treatment.

Nice casual french place. Good for coffee breakfast and onion soup at lunch. No real service - just a known cold french attitude. But they know how to prepare food....

Interesting place for french stile brunch, nice to get away from the crowd on Abbot Kinney on weekends. There is also a nice small market inside with French goods.

Got the omelet sandwich with mushrooms. Mushrooms were canned, the sandwich had nothing but the omelet, no lettuce, tomatoes, etc.
