Ecco? Like the shoes? Well not exactly. Both are high quality within their segments of Pizza and sandals, but thats about where the similarities end. Located on the south end of "The Camp" its dark and somewhat intimate, not good for groups larger than 6. A nice wine selection of young European and south American. I am absolutely no wine expert, but like Napa and Sonoma was to the old French stronghold I like what Argentina and very young wines from all over Europe are doing different from what I consider to be established meccas already. Although not a full bar they have quality spirits in Tequila, Vodka, Rum and Gin. Many handcrafted, house and Italian cocktails done the way they are supposed to. But to me quite a few high end Whiskeys and Scotchs. Mainly my favorite Lagavulin 16 year. Beatiful golden grains of sunshine, but its a bit much at $22.00 per order. Great salads and appetizers like beer steamed mussels. Bread is artisanal and its much more Italian than youd think. Although we had a large group its realty designed more for dates or parties of 4. Nice Christmas décor a few tvs big enough for the bar, but not the whole place. Well staffed, but any large group will slow it all up due to mobility. A heated and chill patio of after work HH. Portions are not impressive. Pizzas have the distinction of being wood fired and using fresh ingredients, but I prefer a heartier cheese base for the mushroom and my pork chop with lardons and apple cider vinegar reduction really should have been more moist. I did like the cauliflower though. Few beers on tap and none are impressive. I do see why they seem less gastropubish in that regard. Just different crowds. If you were to come here on a date, drink wine or Whiskey, eat certain appetizers and certain pizzas youd probably give it 5 stars, but for me it was a bit of the perfect storm of little things that makes it hard rate it as a whole 5.

Its been on our list for quite some time to come pay a visit and explore "The Camp". We thought before we explore the area, we should probably grab a bite to eat. While we searched for a place to eat, we noticed a lot of places closing around 9pm, which seemed kinda early for a Friday night. We happened to stumble across this place and I was very sold. Pizza + Wine. My fav!!! We walked in and got seated right near their small "patio". The service is definitely fast and friendly! Waters came out super fast, our waiter placed our orders just as quick and before I could finish my train of thought in mid conversation - pizzas were out! We ordered the Guido and the Funghi between 3 of us. Plenty of food if you are not starving. If you come really hungry, I suggest ordering an app or salad to start. I also asked for a side of serrano peppers because I like my pizza spicy. The food was great!! Really good flavors in pizza crust and fresh ingredients. The food came out piping hot and we dug in straight away...not leaving a crumb behind. The ambiance had a cool industrial, casual theme to it. Great for a laid back date night or intimate dinner. Overall great place to come check out for drinks and food. Looking forward to paying another visit back!

-Dinner review- Great Vibe with a relaxed hip atmosphere! Happy hour from 5-7pm, possibly every night...most likely Monday-Friday. But they do have late night HH 10pm-closing on Friday and Saturday. (HH includes food and drink) Skip the pizzas, crust is not thin enough, bit more chewy for my taste. Ingredients is fresh, but not my style = 3 stars. Salad is great: lightly tossed and fresh, enough to share with a party of four = 4 stars Rigatoni Chicken is delicious as well, creamy with mushroom, artichoke, tomatoes = 4 stars Overall, I would skip the pizza and try the other dishes. Wine, cocktails, and beer is available here! (Wine flights and some of the beers are on tap as well) Ecco is located inside The CAMP, not visible on Bristol Street. Bathroom is located outside. Service is attentive 3/1/2 stars). Great place to hangout with friends or a casual date. Plus, you can walk around the Camp afterwards.

Stumbled onto this gem when we found ourselves in the South Coast Plaza area on a Friday night and in the mood for Italian. The first place we tried had a 90 minute wait, but Open Table was able to get us a spot in 15 minutes at Ecco...thank you Open Table! We had 2 pasta dishes and a pizza...all were truly excellent. Finished it off with very good Italian donuts with dark chocolate sauce and hand-whipped cream. Fun vibe, great friendly service, great food. Ill repeat, happily.

My wife and I always talk about this place. This restaurant served us probably the best dinner date we have been on and we owed it all to our waiter. We sat on the patio and we allowed him to guide us to a decision on what to order and he was spot on and of course the pizza we got was amazing. Highly recommend this place. Will go back every chance I get.

The place is a little pricey, but I enjoyed the atmosphere, their pizza tastes great and in general their food is good. It is a good place to come on a date, but dont expect to save money. It is one of those places where I pay more, but I dont regret it. (see Naples Pizza in Downtown Disney). I always enjoy coming here.

Happy hour was a great deal! The regular menu prices are kinda high. Came here for dinner before a show at the seagerstrom hall. The food was pretty good and the prices are reasonable at happy hour. Our bartender was very nice and refilled our drinks. Parking was an absolute nightmare!!

The restaurant was nice, the food wasnt bad, but nothing to call home about, if they reduced their prices by at least 35% then it would be worth it to go. Portions were small, pizza wasnt bad but it was small and not worth $15 at all...

Wood fired Italian Pizza. The white pizza was good. The Guido pizza was average. They also have gourmet salads. The chopped salad has a very nice creamy vinaigrette dressing. The Caesar comes with a nice parmesan crisp.

I had a filet steak here and it was excellent. The wines on offer were also very good. The atmosphere is semi formal but still relaxed. It was my birthday and they supplied a special mini dessert.

Excellent Italian tasty pizza baked in a wooden fired oven. Good selection of wines and beers. Offer covers from light meals , aperitifs, to generous dinner.
