A couple of days ago, both I and my husband decided to go to Hometown Buffet as my husband was craving for salad. Initially, I suggested that we go to Soup Plantation since I like its FRESH salad, but my husband insisted that we go to Hometown in Corona as its located near our house. Just like any other Buffet restaurants, we started off with salad bar. Just like any other buffet restaurants, we started off with Salad bar. Guess what though? Salad eggs and roast beef tasted a bit funny, so I stopped eating them after a couple of bites. Though, my poor husband ate them, not thinking about the huge consequences he had to pay for later on. Thats right. He and I started having a massive stomachache at 5:00 a.m., followed by nausea, vomiting and bouts of diarrhoea all day long. Luckily, being a health professional, I knew what to do when FOOD POISONING takes place. Both I and my husband did all the measure to relieve the symptoms without having to see a doctor. Of course, we got better at the end of the day after we let out POISONED FOOD out of our body systems. We felt miserable all day long, being bedridden, feeling so frail. My husband had to call the company to call in sick as well. Should I let it go or call up Hometown buffet? My husband told me not to call them up as he reasoned that they wouldnt do anything about it. Nonetheless, I decided to call them up since I dont want others to experience the same ordeal we just went through. So I called them up to report the incidence. How the manager dealt with the situation totally shocked me. Instead of expressing apology for what happened to us (FOOD poisoning), he said, " We havent got any phone calls regarding food poisoning. ... We appreciate your phone call." Was that all he had to say? He is supposed to be a MANAGER, not a waiter. I was absolutely disappointed at poor management on problems like food poisoning. There were two main reasons why we went to Hometown buffet that night: 1. My husband was craving for salad, and hometown was near our house 2. I had a good impression about hometown buffet I used to go to in EUGENE, OREGON in 1990s. Would we want to go back to Hometown buffet in Corona, CA? The answer is definitely " NO!!!!!" We have had enough of ordeal: bouts of diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting!

Its crazy busy on Sunday morning. This is good and bad. Bad because you are elbow to elbow with strangers, trying to get in, to get food. Its good, because it means the food is constantly coming out, so its fresher. We got there a little before 11. So we got some breakfast and lunch options. Breakfast is eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, waffles, fruit, eggs Benedict, country fried steak and gravy, oatmeal, grits, and some pastries. They have an omlet bar, where you have it made fresh to your liking. Bit the line was too long. Lunch was fried chicken, pizza, taco bar, spaghetti, a carving station with meat, salad bar, and some other stuff. There was a good selection. Drinks cost extra. So make sure to add that. Cofee, soda, juice, milk, chocolate milk, tea, cappuccino, and slurpees. Then a dessert bar, with ice cream, cakes, cookies, puddings, jellos. Peach cobbler, apple crisp. A lot of the silverware had stuck on food. It kinda grossed me out. Make sure to wipe them before using! Floors were pretty clean for a buffet. Our server was nice. I guess they arent really servers. They dont serve you. Lol. Busser maybe? Anyway, she got our plates out of the way pretty fast. A lot of the food is bland. Its quantity over quality here. Some things were great. Some, not so much. But thats the awesome thing. If you dont like something, there is many other options.

My friend and I had dinner there a week ago. The food was great, but I dont think I will ever go there again because the experience was aweful. Servers practically knocked me down twice at the salad bar. Hello! When a customer is at the salad bar, wait until theyre finished to refill that area. And when a customer is walking dont cut in front of them! But the worst thing of all was the lack of supervision of the soft serve & desert areas. There were about 6 kids letting the soft serve flow into the catch tray, and using their fingers to lick the ice cream that was hanging from the spout! This went on in clear sight of servers, who totally ignored them, for at least 30 minutes. It was all I could do not to do something about it myself. As good as the food was, I cant handle that kind of chaos when Im out to dinner. No thanks.

Disgusting. The whole restaurant needs to be shutdown and cleaned. The tables are gross and sticky. The booths and chairs are stained and full of stuck on food. The carpet is dirty and has things stuck in it. The lights at the table are even full of food stains. Oh and the milk dispenser...I almost threw up. The backrest of it is nasty and had like slimy chunky old milk all over it.

We eat at the buffet at Mckinley about once a month. The waitresses are very friendly and the food is as good as many places and better than some. The price is hard to beat anywhere. I would not say that the food is as good as the 20 or 30 dollar buffets at a Casino but then you wont lose your shirt after lunch either.

Honestly people.. it may not be top of the line in food but its a buffet. Its self serve, no need to make comments about the staff. The food variety is better than anything I can make. The price is better than most restaurants around them. We go there at least once a week and will to continue going.. 2016

Remind me never to come here again. Was here because of a $5.99 lunch coupon but after eating here I wouldnt eat here again even if it was free. Gross. Flatware is caked on dirty, food is like cafeteria food...bland and dry, service is average, general waste of time.
