Very comparable to Village Inn and Perkins. We often get take out and love this place for its Hi Boy Cheese Burger. The breaded mushrooms are fantastic and the fried pickles, battered friends onion rings and the fried fish are great too. One can tell they hand dip their fried foods unlike other places who buy them pre-made and frozen. Price is great too. So far take out trips to this place have been about 15. I have eaten inside twice. The coffee is terrible so do not order it. If you show up at 5pm prepare to wait to be seated, which I find to be a good sign means the rest of the neighborhood came by and this place is frequented. This last visit inside Service was slow but the place was packed. I found it hilarious that they brought our water in a clear plastic cup. At first I thought wow this is cheap, this is the type of cup you take to Frat parties for a kegger. Then I thought okay maybe their dishwasher was broken and regular non disposable cups could not be provided. Then I got a little anxious thinking okay what if the rest of the dishes cant be washed normally. Just when I was going to dump out the water and ask for that Keg Beer I stopped myself and decided to let it go and take my chance on the fact that maybe they were trying to be really hygienic and since so much lipstick sticks to cups, just use the flimsy plastic cups. My husband ordered the steak, I the salmon. Steak was paper thin but okay and there were canned over soft green beans on the plate and a baked potato with a piece of the texas toast. Salmon did not taste like Salmon. It was totally tasteless. I shared half with my husband and he shared half his steak and it was basically just a bland meal. We should have just called the takeout line and ordered two HiBoys with fries and saved ourselves the time, experience and 17 dollars. Oh I do want to say the staff was very Friendly. I know I should give them a two star or even a one but their takeout is Great!

This restaurant is very special to me. I had my first date there with the live of my life on September 23, 2017. We decided on this place because of the good wholesome looking food in its advertisements. We drove to this place on a dreary/rainy day in the beautiful mile high city of Denver. The weather perfectly offset the tasty fulfilling fried chicken my love and l both had. The host was great to my better half. He complimented her like a gentleman should and shook my hand in acknowledgement that Im one lucky man. We were promptly seated and asked what wed like to quench our thirst (besides each other). Unbeknownst to us we both love the American classic which is a tall glass of fresh brewed iced tea. We loved taking in the throwback atmosphere there where each booth has a coat hanger and 50s/60s bepop plays over the loudspeaker that reminded us to where taking your honey out on a date was the ultimate goal in a young persons life. The waitress was very attentive and took our order with perfection. We both ordered the the number 3 "Kings half chicken" our orders only differed with her having a desire for cole slaw and my hankering for mash potatoes with brown gravy. Let me just say the food hit the proverbial spot. It was a site to see a 52" 120 lb firecracker enjoy her food so much. You made her day which in turn makes my day. Thank you Wishbone restaurant for a memory that will be with us for decades to come. Best regards, Sunshine and Hollywood

Wishbone is a legendary restaurant in Westminster that spans decades and a couple of locations (according to my dad). I have been there a number of times over the years. Overall the food is pretty good, especially if you stick to the chicken. The sides are okay, but could use some updating and at least when I was last there may fresher ingredients. Other entrees were a bit uneven, but the staff was polite and there were no issues, they fixed it. Hopefully they have updated the menu and ingredients because it did feel a bit behind the times in that regard. The place is kinda dated but in a charming way that brought me back to the 1970s and 1980s when this part of town was a little more vibrant. I liked Wishbone, but not loved it but it is locally owned and family operated so that is a really good thing.

I still LOVE the Wishbone Family Restaurant. The fried chicken is absolutely mouth-watering, finger licking, good! Service is good. The menu has enough variety for everyone, but hey, if you go to Wishbone, you should go for the chicken. Wishbone, Chicken, need I say more!? Love It! Prices - good. A meal of 3 pieces of chicken, a baked potato (or fries or instant mashed), texas toast, and yummy gravy = $9. You really cant beat that! Yummy! Delicious! Hits the spot! Food - good, actually quite good! They also have salads, steaks, and some appetizers, and of course, desserts! Interior - bright, open, nice blues and browns, large interior, can easily accommodate large groups. There were 7 in our group today. Parking - private lot with plenty of parking spaces. See you there!

The only time we have gone the food was straight out of 1955. If you want ok fried chicken sure. But the vegetables are cheap mixed variety that have been boiled to death, their idea of salad is chopped iceburg lettuce with some shredded carrots and maybe red cabbage. Their idea of blue cheese was ranch dressing with a bit of blue cheese thrown in, mind you these restaurants were opened and run as a chain owned by the WISHBONE dressing company...... If you dont mind eating boiled food and the crap your grand parents thought was high brow, but today wouldnt qualify as tv dinner quality, have fun at this place.

We pick up either chicken or fish and chips every Monday. We have an internet business and Mondays are crazy - no time to cook and Wishbone is on the way home from the post office. The chicken and fish are always perfect and the coleslaw always fresh. The owner is always there and always really nice. Last week we tried to save some money and got chicken at Safeway - it was horrible. Raw and bloody (and they didnt even say Sorry! This was the Safeway at 104th and Federal, Federal Heights). Wishbone is definitely worth an extra dollar or two.

Mark the manager was not there but his Assistant manager Cory was and he did the very best He could with as always his awesome team of bus girls and servers that helped Cory to keep each customer happy and letting everyone have a pleasant afternoon and evening. We like coming to Wishbone Resturant because we always get awesome service and a good meal. Yes indeed I would refer this restaurant to other people who want to know what to expect from the people there.

Their fried chicken is the best!! The only complaint is the salad that they charge extra for. It should be included with the meal since no vegetable is included with the main entree. When you order the salad all you get is mostly lettuce and not much else. I think that if they charge extra for the salad, they should put tomatoes, cucumbers and more veggies with it. If the salad was included with the entree it would be a much better value.
