it was two weeks ago, i ordered roasted duck and I was like I used to make it back home in europe and I have not had duck in the us lets do that. they served it without asking me how I want it. It looked wierd by the color but I poked it with the fork and it was totally raw. I was like are you kidding me with that roasted title? I hate everything bloody or raw in meat. So I ordered them to do it well done. They brought back after 10 min while others were at the table already finishing theirs. So they brought it back and it was only half done. I called them back and they did a new plate for me. Finally as I wished for. Now the meat shrunk so badly that it was barely bigger than a one dollar coin. I got five of them on the plate with about the half sized salad on the plate and all for 22 bucks. I was like are you kidding??? went home and had to eat proper to feel at the least comfortably satisfied. Well overpriced place and amateur people not relly asking about your like when it comes to meat, not to mention the titles. Those that were with me had soup and that seemed to be fine though well well overpriced, well overpriced. Not going back again. I wanna get fed in a restaurant not go home hungry and grumpy.

Tonight was our first and last visit to Copper kitchen. We arrived at 5:00 pm (opening). The onion soup was good but we were unaware that we needed to request bread. It was eventually delivered to our table after the soup was almost gone. The hamburgers for $14 were mediocre and the side endive salad tasted bitter. Both my wife and I didnt take a second bite. The food service was very slow. I waved at the server each time we needed a drink refill. Good servers refill drinks without the customer waving them down. The $11.00 citrus salad portion was puny! We requested ketchup when the hamburgers were delivered to the table. We finally got ketchup when half the burger was eaten. The food is over-priced for what you get and the service is sub-standard. The owners should come as secret diners to evaluate the service and consider the online guest reviews to rehabilitate the operation of Copper kitchen.

Food was good. But nowhere good enough to account for the service received. Our table of 2 was completely ignored by our server. When she finally did approach our table she joked about being inattentive, and promised that wasnt what we would should expect for the rest of the meal. She was clearly attentive to 2 other tables near ours, but definitely not us. Darling hostess finally brought us water at one point, and general manager served our meals. But aside from that, the staff (including the general manager) was fine to walk by our table with empty glasses, and when we were clearly done with our meals for close to 20 minutes. This restaurant is within walking distance to my home, and I was so excited to make it a staple, but Ill walk on by and go to T27 from here on out.

Just fantastic. Fast, polite service (even with our party of 11), delicious food, and decent prices for what we got. We had a variety of appetizers, main courses and desserts--the only item we didnt try was the selection of drinks and cocktails. They were out of the scallops so I got the duck, which was cooked in a somewhat smoked/brined manner and was excellent. The only appetizer I wouldnt order again was the pork belly--not what I was expecting at all. The gazpacho wasnt expected either, but in a good way! I found it to be a truly interesting twist on the original chilled soup: its not for everyone, but if you like adventure, then watermelon in a savory vegetable puree will certainly be a novelty for your palate.

Style over substance. The dishes were hit and strong misses. The curry cauliflower croquettes were fine but the vegetables were frankly disgusting. They were cold and tasted of Liquid Smoke, and oddly paired with blood oranges. My fish special was good but my wifes grilled salmon with zucchini noodles was underwhelming with the fish being nicely cooked but the zucchine noodles substantially over cooked. Overall I found the menu as trying too hard and it would have been better had they just focused on good tasting and well executed dishes than trying to impress with unconventional pairings. Service was fine but dont expect a quiet evening.

Great food and service...the flavors are quite intense with every dish, almost to the point of being overwrought .... so I would share dishes here to avoid being overly herbed and spiced with too full a tummy. Save room for a bite of the caramel cake.. the only real criticism is that there is almost no laughter or mirth from the staff..Very stoic, minimal conversation. .. notably dry and, humorless from the greeter, and most servers ...that resonates throughout the experience.. better go with a date..if your alone, it will feel VERY lonely.

I ate there tonight and I got a burger. Ive heard from numerous people their burgers are great. It was by far the worst meal Ive ever had eating out. I asked my waiter if I could get my burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun and he literally brought my burger out on 2 TB of shredded lettuce. I asked for the burger medium and it was so undercooked and it was oozing grease with no flavor. I still feel sick from this meal two hours later. So disgusting! Consider yourself warned.

Outstanding. Went with our family of 7 so we had a broad sampling, and absolutely everything was delicious. The service was attentive and very customer-focused. They were late with one of our entrees (a $20+ steak), and we didnt complain at all, but they insisted on not charging us for it. I had the best beet salad Ive ever eaten (included avocado), and fish over a bed of tomato garnish. Dessert was a flash-fried ice cream patty covered in cookie crumbs. A great meal!

Great restaurant in Holladay. We happened to find this place while staying in Cottonwood. Great locally sourced menu. Lots of options to choose from and everything looked and sounded great. We both ordered pasta dishes with salads, they were delicious. Great service too, not a bad wine and beer list. Nice indoor decor. I also really like the open kitchen setting. Portions were good size, not enormous and not too small.

I refer to this restaurant as my own personal spot. The staff is friendly and attentive without being annoying. The food is so full of different flavors and ideas. And the cocktails are unique and amazing (Aspen glow is my favorite). No matter how full I am I always seem to find room for my favorite pairing of Kourtaki Mavrodaphne and their flourless chocolate torte. Also... Im a sucker for their Mac and cheese!

A bit pricey but good food for sure. I was skeptical about how much some in our group were talking up the burger, but it was definitely worth the praise. Not a great (draft) beer selection and this is always a factor for me in deciding on a restaurant. Some decent bottles, but waaay overpriced. The craft beer scene in Utah really should be embraced by more high end restaurants as this is a huge demographic

Service was the worst Ive had. Ever. Took ten minutes to just get a server to come over at all. After thirty more minutes we asked our server to check on our order - only to find out that the kitchen lost our ticket, and no one bothered to check until we asked. We waited an hour, never saw food, and eventually left hungry. Would have given zero stars if that was an option.
