Our family and another was going to Disney on Ice at the Energy Solutions Arena last night. We were looking for a sit-down restaurant with a childrens menu within very short walking distance of Trax. After a Google search, it seemed that Blue Lemon fit the bill. This location is less than half a block from the Temple Square Trax station. I (the Mom) have a food allergy - Sugar, so I contacted the management to find out some details about their recipes. He was very respectful and willing to detail the ingredients. I was impressed that they use all organic ingredients and NO SUGAR in their appetizers or entrees! (You could even order a Fruit Bowl Appetizer as a dessert.. It is mostly melons!) The meals are right-sized for the price. The selection is small, which I appreciated, as it saved tons of time pouring through a multi-page menu. The food was ready and to our table in under 6 minutes. The kids LOVED the lighting effects on one back wall. The whole wall changes color every 10 seconds! As modern as the place looks, attention was apparently paid to accoustics, because the place was very quiet and conversation friendly, even with our crew of 6 adults and 3 children. We LOVED the beautifully presented, perfectly cooked food and will return to this restaurant again!

By far the worst experience Ive had in any of the downtown establishments. I work downtown and often eat out on my lunch break, along with most of the folks in the many office buildings downtown. The food took over 25 minutes to get to me AFTER I ordered (and I had even gone in before the lunch rush). I had to seek out an employee to check on my food. When it was finally brought out, all of it was cold. The fries were limp and soggy (and the temperature was as if it had been in the refrigerator). I order the short rib grilled cheese which was also cold. The other three people I had gone with received their food 10-15 minutes after we ordered but their food also came out cold. When I complained about it to an employee, he did apologize but quickly walked away without offering any help to make it better. The cost is not worth the food, time, and terrible service. Save yourself some time/money and go to one of the other restaurants around (even the food court would have been better). I would give negative stars if I could.

This experience was unexpected with both negative and positive, more of the former than latter. We ordered a humus plate, short rib grilled cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries, lemon chicken and rice soup and a fettuccine with steak. Everything came out within 5 minutes, which was questionable with the amount of food we ordered. The answer is that we received some "old stock" -- the fries and pita bread were very soggy; the bread that came with the soup was hard, crusty on the outside. I dont believe this happen often, but definitely disappointing. The fettuccine was less flavorful than hoped, but the steak in it was tender. The reason why this is a 3-star review is the hummus. It was warm, flavorful and not that pricey. I loved that hummus.

Having visited this location multiple times (plus others), the only complaint is how so many people know about how good the place is! Given its popularity alone, this place is surely worth a visit. Fine cuisine that has remarkably fresh ingredients, and a very contemporary menu with unique options, all of which is on the more nutritiously dense side of local restaurant food. The branches differ slightly in each location, but the ambiance is always found to be in a more fine-dining type mood, and casual open air setting, making it feel classy but also fun. While at times it is loud and busy, the experience is well worth the wait when youre with good friends, as this is the type of restaurant that will soon capture the urban scene by storm.

The quality of food has decreased a LOT since the opening of the Blue Lemon. For example, the salmon BLT used to be great - a generous portion of salmon on warm and fresh bread. I ordered one today and I got a really thin piece of salmon and lots of lettuce on soggy bread. Last month the sandwhich was of poor quality as well. The hummus seems like it has been watered down, and my togo order had six measly peices of pita to accompany. Its either the Blue Lemon has hired lazy employees or they are trying to cut corners to save money. Ether way this place that used to be one of my favorites, is now a disappointment I go. Not good.

The food is great but the service is terrible. I got a side of sweet potato fries with a sandwich and it came with I kid you not 10 tiny fries that were cold. It looked like someone had already eaten their meal and they grabbed the fries off of the plate. When I said something, the server said there was nothing he could do about it. They also completely forgot one of our partys meal and a side of fries. When we said something, they finally brought the meal (after asking what it was and what was on it) but never brought the sweet potato fries. Its too bad because I love their food but probably wont come back due to the service

Chaotic! The food is wonderful and very splendidly presented. Staff is friendly but the way they do the order and delivery process is so chaotic. Both times I have been here they have not completed our order correctly. They dont bring the order at once so parts of the order, like sides, never make it. Even though I requested the rest of our order from several employees that were walking around. Both times I have had to go back to the order line and request the rest of my food to go since we were done eating and they never brought it to us. I loved this place at first but not sure its worth the hassle.

I have to admit Im a bit disappointed that they dont have many vegan options. (at least one vegan soup would have been nice) However, I tried the hummus sandwich (-cheese, - chicken ) on a multi grain bread. I also ordered a side of sweet potato fries. The food was average but nonetheless hit the spot. The fries were cold and the ketchup too sugary. The photos in the brochure look amazing, but the presentation and the taste didnt meet my expectations. They do have outlets to charge phone/laptop, and the atmosphere is dinery but bright.

First off, service is super slow. Dont expect to be in and out unless its empty. It tools like 12 minutes for them to get through 5 groups in line before we could order. Food is high end cafeteria food, but Ive had 60% of the menu and theres nothing specific I crave to come back for and most the time feel like the food is overpriced. The place is convenient when you want to avoid the mall food court or JBs. Not a destination cafe but convenient when you need a quick bite, but it will bite your wallet!

Eh. The lady taking my order was not very pleasant. I asked her to repeat her self twice because I couldnt hear her and each time she gave me a stank look. I did not feel good as a customer being there. The food was fine. I thought I had ordered a cup of soup but they gave me a bowl, the lady never verified my order with me. The salad was good, but there were some older pieces of spinach in my salad that I had to pick out. NOT worth the price I had to pay for salad and soup. Go to Zupas.
