This is one of the finest Japanese restaurants Ive ever eaten at. The quality of the food is exceptional, and many of the dishes are truly artisan. The simple cucumber dish with sesame was not only completely refreshing but truly delicious. The dressing on the seaweed salad elevated it beyond any seaweed salad Ive ever had. The caramelized brussels sprouts with mustard sauce with the best brussels sprouts of all the many Ive tasted . And the skin on the miso Salmon was one of the best things Ive ever eaten in my life. Everything is done with such care, precision, and artistry. Bravo!

Food is awesome and definitely well priced. Service is great. One tip though is to flag down your server when you want your check, especially if youre in a hurry. The food and drinks come fast, but both times Ive gone, my boyfriend and I realized we were going to have to be assertive if we wanted to get out of there. Its honestly a positive element of the restaurant in my opinion, because they dont kick you out as soon as youre done and it feels like they encourage after dinner conversation. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Went there for lunch because it had good enough reviews. The location is very clean just like the pictures, the food looked amazing, unfortunately when we tasted the food, it most of it was bland. The California rolls and miso soup were good. The Salmon with the Bento box and the beef were bland, the sashimi also had a weird texture, almost as if it had been thawed. The price was good and again the location was very nice but based on the taste of the food, I will not go there again.

Nothing much more but a re-decorated version of the previous sushi restaurant made to look hip to the millennial crowd at much higher prices. Dark, harsh and cold inside, slow service. Sushi was not spectacular like it should have been for the price paid.

Akemi had an enjoyable ambiance with a wood and stone feeling to the place. The lighting definitely sets the mood. The garlic edamame was phenomenal! A must get. We also very much enjoyed the Hawaii role.

Great place! The sashimi was excellent and the sushi rolls were amazing! The staff was very knowledgeable and sushi chefs were great entertainment! The custard was to die for!

Tasty, reasonably priced (for lunch anyway) Japanese fair. It was very pleasantly quiet when we were there, but that could have been because it was superbowl sunday.
