Our service was unorganized and extremely inefficient, we waited for service then our beer and then our apps then our salads then forever for our dinners. We never got serviced again until every beer glass on our table was empty as wall as our app plates and salad plates were still in front of us as we waited and waited for dinner. We had wings, poke and Brussels sprouts for apps. Wings good , poke for $9 all good, but garlic oil and cold Parm cheese sprinkle on steamed Brussels sprouts not as good as first two. We had houser salad with balsamic Italian dressing that was the texture of choc mousse and tomato basil soup that also was also unstable . We received our bread after first course was long gone. The fish tacos were $18 maybe a 7 oz portion of frozen mahi grilled in two tacos with taco stuff OK the two pasta dishes were garlic powder pasta one with tasteless shrimp and no sauce the other a 4oz frozen chic breast one slice of tomato and the exacct same pasts as the other plate. Disappointed. I made a reservation for 8:30PM this evening and was seated after waiting five minutes before we were acknowledged. After being seated we waited for 15 more minutes. NOBODY TOOK OUR ORDER!! The service was absolutely deplorable. Told the host we were leaving, he hardly even cared that we had not been helped. This place is awful. Many other choices in Arcata. STAY AWAY. One star is too many.

Host got us a table very quickly on a Friday without a reservation. Our waitress was lovely and very helpful for us out-of-towners. Basket of bread with butter & olive oil was a great start, and the entrees (Shepherds Pie, Bacon Mac n Cheese) were very tasty and served hot. Would definitely go back if we ever find ourselves in Arcata again.

We traveled a long way and arrived for an early dinner. Awesome food and service. Loved it. All of the staff were friendly and super nice. Something as simple as fish and chips, the fish seemed fresh and not frozen. The waitress was incredible and was very available and checked on us more than I would have expected. May & Dave

A surprisingly good little place cleverly hidden in the Bank Of America tower. Run by a spartan 3-man crew, the Plaza grill specializes in feeding the hungry bellies of the overworked corporate slaves in the surrounding block. Fortunately for myself, they allow normal plebians to eat there as well.

Plaza Grill is "good" for Arcata, but in general, its just okay. The food is decent, and the service and drinks are excellent. The space is always noisy, which is okay sometimes but not for quiet conversation. I wish they changed menu items more regularly or added variety.

The first time I went here was awful. Slow service messed up orders. I think never even got my food until everyone was finished. And they served bundaberg root beer which is horrible. The last time I went was very pleasant and we had a very friendly waiter.

After waiting 15 minutes by the "please wait here" with multiple staff members passing me without so much as a hello or well be right with you I left. Thank you to the gentleman who appeared to be host for ignoring me when you clearly saw me many times.

We have been sick all day after eating there. The Guinness was sour. Every glass had lipstick on it and something in the food must have been spoiled. No soap in the ladies room. Quite disgusting, actually.

Good food but somehow the atmosphere reminds me of Cracker Barrel with the country style wooden tables. Its not cozy with the open floor plan. A reliable meal is served here in a historic building.

Walked in off the street and found this gem. Best meal Ive had in a very long time. When travelling it can be hit and miss when it comes to restaurants. This was a hit.

The Cajun Chicken is fabulous. Me and my girlfriend usually split it with an additional side salad. The tomato basil soup is great too! Dont fill up on bread! ha ha ha!
