AVOID; AVOID; AVOID; We have been customers at Mexico Lindo for several years and the food was OK; the chips were great even with the old sauce; On Wednesday, Sept 2 we stopped by to say hi to Lalo, the owner of the restaurant. When seated we noticed a new menu with raised prices. We ordered two 10 dollar mexican meals; they were ok, but we noticed the servings were considerably less than in previous visits. We had two diet cokes that were filled with ice which costs 6.90 for two drinks; the glasses were full of ice and when we asked for another coke, the waiter said we would have to pay another 1.50 for each refill. The waiter appeared to be arrogant, hostile, and was not interested in talking or explaining the new prices. I do realize that prices need to be raised from time to time, but there is no excuse for bad behavior. When I approached the owner of the restaurant, he laughed and said the waiters have the final say regarding drinks, extra chips, or sauce. The mexican food was ok but the bad behavior of the waiter and the owner made us think he was having some cognitive dissonances issues. I believe the waiter should be fired and the owner take some anger management classes and dont bring personal frustrations and issues to the business. We will NOT visit this restaurant in the future. I feel sorry for these folks who dont know how to treat customers.

While the food wasnt bad, it was not great. Had their prices been about 30% less, I could just say that their food is right on for the price and leave it at that. But when youre talking take-out for three, which included a combo plate (1 enchilada and one chili relleno), two wet burritos (absolutely boring) and a side of rice, at a cost of $40 dollars, the food had better taste like deep-fried unicorn dipped in fairy dust batter. There were none of the usual accoutrements -- no salad, no dollop of sour cream, no guacamole -- not a single thing to dress up the plates. The only reason I didnt 1-star them is due to their sauce. It is the only exceptional thing I could find and even that, while it has a unique flavor, almost borders on pasta sauce. The final blow was the flavorless salsa. It had a pinch of heat, had the right look, but it was blander than bland. Im not a huge fan of Super Taqueria, Burrito Factory or La Vics, but its my opinion that you will get a better tasting meal with more food for less money. If youve got white guy taste buds and like mariachi music, this is probably the place for you. The overhead and mediocre food just doesnt justify the prices. EDIT: By the time I finished typing the original review, that chicken enchilada ended up giving me food poisoning. Reduced to 1 star. Wow...just wow.

Food here has always been excellent. On a very recent visit in the early afternoon there was only one other couple seated and a lone person seated at the bar. It took several moments for the "bartender/owner?" to even acknowledge us waiting to be seated. Then once he did it really felt like we were bothering him and all he wanted to do was get back to his drinking. He did take our order and bring our food in a timely manner but all with a very gruff manner and no words to speak of. Its very frustrating since their food is so very good and has remained consistant over the years. I really hate to pay good money and be made to feel like you are bothering the help. It was also extremely warm in there - and it was not a very hot day outside - high 70s. I would love to give 5 stars and I think for local Mexican food it is worth 5 stars but when your restaurant is empty and your doors are open to serve - that is the time to make your customers feel special.

Slow service tho lots of staff standing around; Not very friendly... Drinks took way way too long, when so not busy;. No music !?? Very Expensive for beans and rice. Waiter seemed offended by polite request of "No cilantro, please." Steak was tough, should have been marinated. Had to refill my own chips; And the corn chips are Good !! Only one water refill; Drought is over. Poor service and lots of bad attitudes. And Mens sink was too dirty, tho rest was OK; Needs a good soapy scrub !! Going elsewhere !! Fast.

I love it. Great customer service especially that kid name Richard great customer service from him and plus he is a spoke my language witch was Chinese Mandarin and my wife spoke to him in Punjabi and he also spoke it, somehow a surprise he spoke it. I will say great job on Mexico Lindo with the chili relleno and the margaritas! Keep up the good work. I will be expecting more from the people that work there and the restaurant food.

Food ranges from great to underwhelming from visit to visit. Salsa has improved recently. Chips can be sketch. Can be really loud. Service is usually good. Bar is small and a little unfriendly or unwelcoming which perplexes me. Still, you can usually expect decent food and a reasonably good experience. I dig the Mariachi band on Fridays. Oh, margaritas are good. Sangria is mediocre.

Nice and clean place. However, the service was super slow! We were the second family in and ordered our food right away but 6 other families came in (15 to 20 minutes after us) and all got served their dinner before us. We had to ask for refills of water. When we got our food it was lukewarm and flavorless. Most likely wont be going back.

Great food and Margaritas. A pretty typical small local Mexican Restaurant where the food is always hot and tasty. Service can vary, there are a couple waiters who arent very friendly, but most are great. Gets busy on Friday and Saturday - Mariachi band is a hit with kids.

Mexico Lindo is one of my favorite Mexican places to eat at. Their salsa and chips are fresh and their dishes are always hot and a generous portion. Family dining atmosphere and you never have to wait to long to be seated. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We live about 1/2 mile from Mexico Lindo. Its a fine place, food is basic, tasty, and consistantly good. We often call in to get dinner to go. Its always ready in a short time, satisfying, with no unpleasant surprises. Very well run establishment

Best Carnitas with nopales pico de gaillo. Hot chips and salsa, music on Friday/Saturday at your table. Chicken Mole is awesome, and you cant go wrong with their multiple flavors of Margaritas.

Just finished what I could eat from the best and biggest nacho plate I ever had. The rest is in the box. Super size portion, super friendly staff, wish theres a place like this in my block.
