tldr: Be careful! Got food poisoning, spent entire day in Emergency Room. Came in on Tuesday morning with some friends. I had me the bigger better breakfast with the Steak, Eggs, Sausage, and Bacon. When I got my food, steak was either old or overcooked. Was hard and crusty. Eggs were scrambled but were sorta watery. Our server kept forgetting items and everything we asked for they were out of. Nothing major it seems, right? About an hour or less after my meal I began to feel weak. 2 hours go by and I begin developing a dull pain in my stomach along with nausea. Three to four hours go by and I then begin to feel really sick. I spent all the remaining morning next to the toilet. In so much pain I eventually decided to go to the hospital. I spent the whole day in the ER, turns out I had food poisoning as I suspected. I spent my whole day off of work, laying in a E.R. being a pin cushion screaming in agonizing pain. One of the worst illnesses I ever had. *Edit* Contacted the manager today (Wednesday). Manager seemed a bit skeptical when I informed him of what happened. He tried telling me that food illness symptoms take 24 hours (False, look it up). He tried to deny anyone getting sick today. He asked for my name and informed me that he receives 400 to 500 complaints a day for this. (What???) And needs too know when something is wrong. I informed him that I am not trying to get any compensation or force them to give me a refund. I just want them to check their quality of food or make sure all food safety is being followed. I have been there other days with friends. (Weve been going a lot lately) and never had problems. Just be careful and ensure your food looks right as we have noticed steak quality issues in the past.

Normally Id have to say I love NORMS Restaurants. But this location is another story. I decided to take my family out to breakfast one morning and here is where they chose to eat. First when we get there it was so crowded that you were practically hugging each others like a pack of hot dogs. Then they gave a seating time and we spent 4x as long. Normally I understand it goes by numbers and availability, but we were there for ever and they took smaller and bigger groups than us, so I had to complain just to get seated. 2nd they stuck us in this little tiny booth in some corner and had the heater on so fu#$ing hot in the summer time that I thought i was going to pass out from a heat stroke. But they never turned it off or even just down. 3rd my family and I all ordered the steak and eggs breakfast SPECIAL. When it came down to getting the check, they charged full price on all and added some stuff that we never even ordered. Last but not least as we leave I stand there to pay the check, the host sees me but ignores me like Im invisible. He calls for other seatings, talks to his friend, and then looks past me grabs another person that is behind me in there check. So I threw the check and the money at his chest and told him just keep the change and walked out. I have never been so disappointed and angry at a company than that moment. So I say go to Dennys or anywhere else before this joke of a place. If I wasnt going to be late for work the management and all employees would feel the wrath. NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!

I still say that they serve the best pancakes on the planet and I dont even like pancakes. If youre like me, Im sure that you have at least one food that you just totally have to be in the mood to eat. It could be offered to you every day but unless you feel like eating it, you just wont be interested. I find this to be true with doughnuts, cake and mostly pancakes. Ill usually order my breakfast with the hash browns and toast over the pancakes but not when I visit Norms. Something about their secret recipe has me hooked. Their pancakes are super moist while being light and fluffy all at the same time. The flavor is good and I could eat a stack of them every time I visit. Other pancakes come out dry and bland or both but Norms has the secret. Its too bad that Norms is only present in the LA area because if there were one here near Seattle, Id eat breakfast there 7 days a week. I havent had a breakfast at Norms that I didnt like so if youre traveling to the LA area and are in need of some good ole breakfast food. Go to Norms. They are open 24 hours a day and I doubt youll be disappointed. Thanks for reading.

SO ANGRY & SAD... NO MORE TEMPURA CHICKEN STRIPS... FOR GOOD. I wonder if its now ALL locations. Ive been told its because the new owners are cheap, Ive been told its because someone had raw chicken served because it was the tempura style and they sued Norms, been told all sorts of stuff. The fact remains, the crunchy, salty, small chicken strips SUCK. Its like something youd get at Dennys or Cocos. Theyre ok..... But i wouldnt get them again. Sad though because they were a STAR DISH for a TON of people. Especially my entire family since i was 5 yrs old. I would pay $3 more to get it Tempura style... If theyre worried about finances... They should have just ASKED THE CUSTOMERS before taking it away. Service: 4-* & servers are sad its gone too. Cleanliness: 4-* Food: 4* - since i cant get my favorite dish anymore EVER... I got the Sirloin early bird special. Theyre steak is always great. Price: 5* Definitely Tasty bang for your buck........ Hmm makes me wonder where that saying comes from now that i say it like that... LOL Experience: 4* just sad and angry. I wont have as much reason to visit...

March 20, 2015 7:30 p.m. Hostess thought we were there to work. We were in white long sleeve shirts and black pants (just got off work somewhere else). Took us and another person to the tables. Waited for server to take drink order. When he finally came he was not that friendly, brought us are drinks and said hed be right back to take our order (which we were ready when we got the drinks) 10 minutes later he took our order after taking someone elses order seated after us. Then we waited for the food for 20 minutes. Hubbys meal chicken fried steak in eggs: When it came eggs cooked wrong, pancakes could have been used as frisbees, hashbrowns cold, chicken fried steak looked like been sitting awhile. My meal shrimp and baked potato w/ carrots. My carrots we cold as if pulling out of a fridge, potato look as if it sat awhile. Shrimp was warm but not hot. Server never checked on us the whole time till we we complained to the manager at the register who did give us a 20% discount though. Not going back to this location but will try another.

I like Norms... I have for years. Prices are very good and food is good, especially considering moderate budget pricing. The staff at this location are very friendly and the service is quick and attentive. Andre the greeter should get a raise as he ads a bit of old school dignity and class. The waitresses are very well mannered and most helpful even though this restaurant is always busy, busy, busy. Every meal we order we like and that is consistent as we visit regularly. Often we take some food home with us as the servings are generous. The Ranch Dressing could improve (for my taste Norms Ranch Dressing was much better years ago... thicker). Other than that, a lot of food for my dollar and overall, pretty darn good.
