My experience here was absolutely horrible. I get better treatment at Norms. Ive been to more pricier restaurants and I have no idea how this place is considered "fine dining". The reason for the 1 star is mainly for the management team and the owner. The story: I went here with my friends to celebrate a birthday. I made reservations in advance and they still made us wait about 10 minutes for our table (not a huge deal, but we did take notice). Our group was big, so when it was time to order, 2 waiters took our order. One side of the table, the waiter would ask "Would you like to ADD a salad?" and on my side of the table, our waiter ask "...and would like Caesar or Greens salad?" after ordering our entree. Obviously the first waiters language implies that the salad is extra. The waiters language on my side implied that the salad was included with the meal. We didnt realize this until the birthday person pointed it out. So she brought this to the waiters attention and he then brought over the manager. The manager basically told us, in a very condescending way, that everything is clear on the menu and that we read it (I honestly didnt see it on their menu). We told the manager that the waiter offered the salad to us incorrectly and that it should either be comped or comped and removed from our table. The manager then tells us to either stay and pay full price or shell call the cops... My reaction to this..."WOW, that escalated very quickly. Shes going to call the cops over some romaine lettuce?" Our whole group was just shocked by how she handled that situation, so we told her to go ahead and call the cops. Let me note that her demeanor the entire time towards us was condescending. None of us were rude or being any different than any other group within that establishment. She then later spoke to the owner and the owner told us to leave, which we did. Let me note that our entrees were already infront of us and have not been touched. So Im just curious how logical this manager is. There was clearly over $500 or so on our tab and this manager thought that comping or removing 5 salads off our tab to keep our experience positive would be too difficult to do. The wait staff lost out on a big tip. The restaurant lost revenue on all the food that was prepared for our table. Im NEVER going back to this place. Also, my experience here was so shocking and terrible that Im sharing with everyone I know. Never have I been to a restaurant that threaten to call the cops over something so minuscule.

Food was ok. I had the Lobster tail and steak. My girlfriend had the fish. I was there for a birthday dinner and had a REALLY BAD experience. Our server and the manager needs to know how to treat a customer. Especially if we are coming in a large party of 18 and spending well over $600. They separated us to two table which was ok but what happen made our table angry. My friend order steak but mistakenly the waitress ordered fish. He was the only one that did not receive his food and he ask where was his meal. The server told him his meal was coming in 5 mins. Two minutes later she told him that his fish will be at the table soon. He corrected her that it was steak. She went in and check again and came out to apologize and gave him the option to wait for the steak but it will take another 15 mins but he can get the fish (which he did not order) in 2-3 minutes. Being a nice guy he said since the fish is almost ready he will consider the fish even though he wanted the steak. She said dont worry she will take his order of the steak off the bill. Giving the assumption that he will not have to pay his meal due to his wait and misunderstanding. After the meal, the check arrive and he was charge for the fish meal. We ask the server why was he charge for a dinner that she said she will not put it in the check. First, she said she meant that she will take the steak charge off the bill and charge him with the fish. But the whole table heard that she will not charge him for the meal. She replied back changing her story she ask the manager if she can take it off the bill but her manager ask her did he eat the fish and if he did charge him for it. During the whole conversation she did not leave the table. In the end, my friend said its ok and he will pay for it. I dont recommend this place to anyone. Unless you want to be mistreated and lied to. Oh yeah, they expect us to pay for gratuity after that service which was well over $50.

Ill start this review by noting that it has been a long time since Ive been to Stanton, and finding a fine dining restaurant in the city is a very pleasant surprise. The exterior of the restaurant is late-60s chic, and the interior carries that theme as well, complete with starburst lighting fixtures and lots of black & white celebrity photos. The parking lot was packed when my group of 6 arrived, and although we had a reservation, we still had to wait 15-20 minutes until we were seated. As the hostess took us through the beautifully designed dining room, we were led to the back patio which is like a huge backyard, complete with paper lanterns hanging from the trees and a perfectly manicured lawn. We actually was waiters walking food down a lantern-lit pathway to the back of the yard, so there must be a special private dining area in the back. As we were seated & handed menus, we were told about the specials of the evening, and ordered some drinks from the bar. Then we waited....and waited...and waited. After a good 20 minutes, the drinks finally arrived, and we ordered our appetizers and meal. Then we waited...and waited...and waited. Finally, the appetizers arrived after about 30 minutes. The wedge salads were good sized and looked nice --basically 1/4 head of lettuce with dressing, bleu cheese & bacon bits. The squash blossoms were a huge disappointment -- basically 3 deep-fried pieces of ricotta. I could barely tasted any squash. The portobello mushroom dish was just ok, nothing special. For the entrees, the seared Jidori Chicken dish was way overcooked, and extremely dry. The scallop dish was just OK. Overall I was disappointed with the speed of service, as well as the quality of the food. The meal came out to about $65 per person with gratuity, which a high price tag for the quality of the meal.

Fantastic Restaurant! An all time Fave! My husband and I, as well as various groups of friends, have been going here for the past couple of years and its become our "go to" place when we are looking for a nice lunch or dinner experience, therefore Im extremely surprised to read negative reviews about this restaurant. The food is fantastic and I commend the chef for preparing unusual dishes that one doesnt find on most menus. I love the fact that the food is so fresh, as much of it is grown right in their own garden! The Swiss Chard appetizer is beyond belief! Who would think a veggie could actually and truly melt in your mouth? Ahhhh, divine! As for the service, I have always found it to be both professional and friendly and I have never once felt rushed. I have had the privilege of having eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world, and am more than familiar with good vs poor or bad when it comes to dining. Park Avenue is definitely on my "good" list and is one of my favorites. I would have given 5 stars, but the only negative for me is the noise level. Ive eaten places that are far noisier, but I still wish that Park Ave could be a little quieter. The background music of old standards (Torme, Sinatra, Clooney, Bennet, etc) is so wonderful that its a shame when its drowned out by the buzz of the diners. Otherwise, Id give it 5 stars. One quick aside, check out the various flower arrangements when you go...always huge and always gorgeous! They definitely enhance the beautiful 1960s atmosphere and surroundings. Go and enjoy...you wont be disappointed.
