I came here for dinner tonight 7/28/15 with my boyfriend, my sister, and her boyfriend. My bf and I travel for a living, and so we get to enjoy a lot of wonderful restaurants across America. This was by far one of the best. Yeah, its in a strip mall. Dont be thrown by that. The restaurant is small and tables are close together (if you have extra rowdy kids dont bring them here) but that didnt detract from the atmosphere at all. Italian eating is an experience, a family gathering, and Baci di Firenze definitely had that wonderful vibe. Ok, the food. Portions were just perfect. Some folks like to have giant multi-serving plates of pasta. Dont expect that here. What you WILL get is a fantastic dish prepared with exceptional attention to quality. My boyfriend and I had pasta with shrimp, and we agreed that it was some of the meatiest, most flavorful shrimp weve ever had (and weve eaten in NOLA pretty recently). All four of us had pasta cooked to perfection. My shrimp was spicy (the server asked, "Do you want it angry?" and I replied, "Just irritated" haha), an amazing perfect level of spicy where its hot enough to make you sweat but not hot enough to interfere with the subtler seasonings in the dish. For dessert my bf and I had the tiramisu. It was creamy coffee-soaked goodness. There was a little fruit on top for a very nice non-traditional twist. My sister and her bf had a gelato and a cannoli and seemed to enjoy them :) Throughout the night our server (G. Franco) was fantastic, very courteous and asking relevant questions to make sure that we all got exactly what we were looking for in our meals. The owner himself came out to shake our hands, welcome us to his restaurant, and find out where we were from. It was a slow Tuesday for them so this may not be a regular occurrence, but take a look at his photo on the restaurants site and keep your eyes peeled for him if you go. He was a fantastic host and he runs a fantastic restaurant. It was a real pleasure and privilege to meet him. For the quality of the food and service, Id say the prices were quite reasonable. Most pasta meals are around $20, veal and fish dishes are obviously going to be more expensive. Each of us had a drink, a pasta meal, and a dessert, which added up to about $40 each. In closing, go here.

Coming from the East Coast, Im accustomed to amazing italian food, especially from family owned places. I moved to AZ two years ago and have been longing for that familiar, amazing italian food. While visiting my sister in CA, we went to Baci. From the greetings we received at first entry to the tableside treatment of laughter, banter and familiarity - this was sure to be an amazing meal. None of the food I ate came from the menu - as we simply put our trust in the chef and owner to please our palettes. Both the steamed artichokes and fresh mozzarella caprese were a delectable start- leaving me searching all food websites to duplicate. We included a lobster soup - that never before had I received 9+ chunks of the freshest, most delicious langostino. I was overwhelmed with favorites from the menu for dinner and when ordering, I admitted this and was simply asked, what do I like? Upon mentioning shrimp and artichokes with pasta, I was prepared the most amazing medley of italian flavors. My husband simply replied he enjoyed red meat and was served a trio of meats, all served together in the most unique and scrumptous manner. We accompanied our meal with a wine recommendation to fit our price range and were not at all disappointed. The bold flavors completed the lightest flavors in the meal. We concluded with a crisp limoncello appertif and an assortment of profiteroles. A truly amazing experience....and highly recommended. Now...if we can figure out how to get this to the West Valley of Arizona...Id be one happy Jersey Girl.

My wife and I and two friends couldnt figure out where we wanted to eat. I picked this place because I liked the name and the prices seemed fair. I figured, worst case scenario, we get some mediocre Italian food for what youd pay anywhere else. Well, we arrive, and the place looks tiny, in a small, old strip mall. Guess it looks like the worst case scenario, right? WRONG. Holy cow, this place blew us all away. My wifes friends husband is a trained chef and he was impressed with everything, as were all of us. First of all, the place is small, and while that might be off-putting at first glance, the place has outstanding service, and a very nice atmosphere. No joke, best service Ive had in longer than I can remember. Though small, its cozy and comfortable, not cramped. So, the food. We didnt get appetizers, my wife got the chicken parmesan, I got the veal piccata, and our friends got the piatto san remo and tortellini, and it was so good we all ended up eating off one anothers plates. The portions were great, the vegetables were perfectly cooked, and everything was just... outstanding. Both the lemon sorbet and the tiramisu we ordered for dessert were outstanding, the best wed ever had, of either. Well definitely be going back.

Very friendly people. The house wine was $ 10.00 dollars a glass which was 3 oz. I told the waitress this is my first visit, she was nice. I also told her I rate Italian food by the pasta, and sauce. I first ordered the Pasta Fagioli and it tasted like boiled hot water with noodles, beans, oil, and a couple of carrots. Sent back the soup. Next came the spaghetti, meat balls with sausage. This is the staple of all true Italian restaurants. The sauce was bland, it lack essence of spice, blended with the sweet savory smell from the old country. The taste was once again bland, I would have saved money buying spaghetti from the local pizza place. Terrible, over priced. I recently went to Orange Hill had drinks a meal and a view for a $ 100.00 went to Baci had terrible food and over priced house wine for the same price and It over looked a subway sandwich shop and the sound of a freeway. Terrible experience. High priced. Bad food. Dont waste your money or time.

Was not impressed but I would come back. The taste was good. I think my chicken parm came out of a microwave though. Really hope not but it had that type of texture when I was eating it. Also I ordered the chicken parm with vodka (pink) sauce and it was not vodka sauce and I was charged for vodka sauce. Im guessing thats because they brought me out a small bowl of vodka sauce after I said something. However, I was already half way done with my food so it was too late. Again, I would come back. I came on a Monday for lunch so maybe people were getting over the weekend. It seems like a nice place. I was here before and everything was very good the last time. Nice staff. Good service. The staff came over often to check our drinks and if we needed anything else. I like when they provide good service. Was only disappointed with the chicken and the sauce incident.

I am so disappointed in this place. I really wanted to like this place but I had a pretty terrible experience. I just ate here tonight and the restaurant was nearly empty. I ordered the lasagna and was served promptly within 10-15 minutes. As I ate it I noticed a cold taste coming from the lasagna. I thought maybe it was the cheese on top that perhaps was served cold. As I finished about half of my plate I picked up a piece of the ground beef and bit into it. Cold. Much colder than the rest of the dish. Why would the meat be cold..? The waiter had told us everything was made fresh.. apparently not. I informed the waiter and he did not apologize whatsoever. I wasnt hungry anymore. Such a huge turn off to be served cold food ugh. We received the bill and no discount or removal of the poorly cooked dish. Definitely wont be back.
