So Im there with my friends for the Laker game. Had a very average, so so meal, tasted ok, nothing to brag about but certainly not worth $25 a plate. I was pretty hungry so no big deal, Ill eat anything once. So then I ordered 3 drinks while watching the game, they required me to pay for them each time for some reason even though others were running tabs, whatever I guess. Then the last drink I paid with a $100 bill and the bartender, the old guy, I found out his name is Sean, stole money from me. He took his time getting back to me never making eye contact, serving others, and making change for people several times, the whole time Im waiting, probably he was thinking I was too buzzed to notice that I had $90 in change coming. Then after 15 or so minutes he finally comes over and I said hey bro wheres my change? He seemed mad that I asked for my change but knew exactly what I was talking about. The d-bag paid me back in $5 bills, even though I had seen him take in several $20s for 15 minutes as I was waiting. When he quickly counted them out, his voice said it was $90 but I counted and it was only $60. When I looked up to say something all I saw was his back quickly walking into the kitchen to hide out. This is after seeing him in the bar for the last 2 hours. What a low-class place this is. My ride was leaving so I didnt have time to deal with this. I told my buddy who lives here and he said that Sean guy does this all the time. People who go here even have a nickname for him, Short-Change-Sean. This place looks nice and somewhat upscale from the outside but in fact is a completely LOW-CLASS place to spend your time and money. Whatever, last time I ever go here...lesson learned.

I was looking for a location to celebrate our anniversary, which served good food and have live music and dancing. I called Opah to ask if they had live music on a Wednesday night and I was told that they did - starting at 8:00pm. I confirmed the day and time with the hostess and she insisted they did have live music that night. I made a reservation, and when we showed up we were disappointed with the location (it is in the middle of a very busy strip mall and the place is very noisy). No attempt was made to create a better atmosphere for those - like us - sitting outside. The food came on a timely fashion but the taste was unimpressive. When 8:00pm rolled around I saw no musicians setting up ... so I knew that after finishing our meal we would leave - never to come back. Its not okay to lie to potential customers!

Dear Zagat, why have you deleted my comment/review of yesterday? Do you have any economic interest in doing so? I used to go there three to four times a month until I felt they have employees with racist attitude...and absolutely no knowledge of service concept..and insult customer with offer of free food...when brought to management attention, the manager ignored it...this is a legit rating.. food is good, but is the food only criteria in rating a restaurant? IF you want to delete this rating about a restaurant with employees that have racist attitude, please clearly explain or post your criteria for accepting/rejecting comments/ratings...If yu are not clear on it, and again drop my comment, the next comment in written form will come directly from my attorney to your office...

This used to be a decent place to go until they began employing bartenders who will consistently short-change you and then add random items to your tab which you never ordered. One bartender in particular, I believe his name is Shawn is notorious for doing this on a daily basis. He tries to strut around the bar but looks silly having a permanent chip on his shoulder which is funny for a man in his 50s working at a job youd have while in college. This person has many, many times shortchanged me and my friends and has put random charges on our tabs. It is a running joke with those who know what he does but a joke thats not funny. It is for this reason we pay in cash only, look at our bills very closely, and never expose our credit cards here. Be warned.

I ordered the chilean sea bass with shitake mushrooms. I was looking forward to a good meal at the bar before returning to work. When I had my first bite I noticed the bass wasnt as "crispy" as it should have been on the outside but it was moist. By the time I got to the center I realized that the fish wasnt cooked through. There was actually a watery texture that read "frozen fish" and really bad frozen fish at that. When I "sliced" in to the middle I actually saw some water come out, not very appetizing. This was my first and last food visit to opah. The staff was amazingly funny and entertaining and they pour good drinks...so theres a plus. But spending thirty plus tip on sub par fish left a bad taste in my mouth, pun intended.

I deleted my 5-star review of Opah Seafood. I spent over one-half hour thinking up and writing the review. I sent an e-mail to Marc Cohen (the owner) and 2 other executives thanking them for a wonderful dining experience and praising them for their fine restaurant. Its been over a week and not one of them had the decency of replying back with a simple "thank you". Do they think I write reviews for my own good? Are they aware that online reviews are free advertising to a huge customer base? Are they so arrogant that they dont have 30 seconds to reply back? It is obvious these people dont care about their customers. We spent over $300 that night at their restaurant and we will never be back.

Lack of cleanliness and terrible service!. The container "carafe wine had on the inside, something that appeared to be lemon or orange pulp that was stuck to the bottom. Furthermore, one of our utensils was dirty, something that did not appear to come off easily. When the manager himself brought out our meals, we brought it up to him. We got NO apology, NOR did they bring out a new spoon. If what was presented to customers was this lack of cleanliness, I wonder how is the kitchen like?

Feb. 3, 2017, we made a reservation for two people. When we arrived, your hostess found our name, and started to type on her keyboard. Why? we had a reservation. But... we are seniors.! We obviously had the wrong table and she was changing. She took us to the end of the restaurant on the wall where all tables were empty. We complained and after discussion, were accepted on another table a little closer! I will not go back to your restaurant. Too bad, the food was really good.

Food is good but the bar is too close to where you eat, so the bar crowd brings down the ambience. We had to watch a drunk couple make out 5 feet from where we were eating ...get a room. The food is good, as is the service. Not a place for a romantice dinner too close to others and the bar crowd and the TV take a away from the experience. Too expensive with the bar on top of where you are eating. Also seems to be a middle age pick up joint...
