One star for having seating outside this restaurant and yes.. thats where youll be, waiting. But oh! So worth it. They open at 5 p.m. until 2 a.m. Another thing about waiting, is the shade youll be in, so you wont be waiting in the hot sun. One star for friendly service. Our hostess opened the door with a smile and we picked our seat. The service throughout our dinner was great. Our waiter was attentive and very nice. He always had a smile on his face. One star for the ambiance of this place. The music they chose made me feel like I was in a video game, which I loved and No. It wasnt the bombarding typical video game music, more like 8 BIT Dubstep. As the lights above you turn color and the glittery chandeliers above the bar sparkled. They also have this amazing mural on their main wall of The Monkey King himself. Loved it. And of course.. one big amazing star for their food. Where to begin? Oh my. We ordered Monkey King fried rice which had spam in it and full of flavor, pepper wings which had garlic and fries over it. As I crunched down on this chicken, it tasted fresh with the perfect crunch. We also ordered Koreon style chicken wings which were a little spicy and full of garlic, amazing. We also got the garlic noodles, which I couldnt get enough of and my husband has never seen me so quiet. I was in Heaven. We had green beans with the tofu. All dishes were so tasty, fresh, made with love & hard work, well thought out and so worth the drive and the wait. Go with friends for amazing food, a great time in a fun atmosphere.

I went here for the first time because of the reviews I read in the past and wanted to try something New. As far As food goes most of what we ordered was delicious except for the Honey Walnut Prawns because the batter was slightly undercook. My one complain that sticks out the most was the service...why is it that I get what we ordered to dine there come out in batches according to what another table ordered. Appetizers should come out first right? Well the calamari came after we received the dry fried ribs..5 mins. later the Crab Fried rice came, and 5 mins later the Honey Walnut prawns and then the calamari came. About 15 mins after that we were just about done eating what was in front of us then lastly our garlic noodles came out which we cancelled because we were already done eating. So again food was good but timing as far as our food coming to the table together was very poor. Next time Ill just order Togo so I get everything ordered at one time.

It was my first time going here a was extremely excited about trying the food. The wait wasnt to bad as all restaurants normally have wait time. After being seated with my two children and husband we ordered about six different items off the menu. Our first item arrive, 20 minutes later our second team arrive, 20 minutes later our third team arrived, 15 minutes later our fourth team arrived and 25 minutes later our fifth and sixth team arrived. we couldst eat or food all at once. That wasnt the part that bothered me. It was the fact that when i ordered i assumed all the food was coming at once n to every 20 minutes. My daughter started to cry because we have been waiting for so long for her fried rice as it was the only thing she could eat because it wasnt spicy. And it came last........I was so disappointed that i dont want to see my children starving because of a restaurant. Definitely not a place for kids or to bring your family

I love the food and often I order dry fried ribs to go, tonight I ordered dry fried ribs picked them up in time permitted which was a 20 minute wait from time I called in. Once I retrieve my order I realize all the meat is really soggy. I thought maybe the further I get they wouldnt all be soggy!! Indeed the whole box is WET!!! NOT CRUNCHY OR ANYTHING AS USUAL. I GIVE THE ESTABLISHMENT A CALL AND EXPLAINED THAT I ALWAYS ORDER DRY FRIED RIBS TO GO AND NEVER HAD A COMPLAINT OTHER THEN NOW TONIGHT THE WHOLE BOX OF MEAT IS WET,SOGGY,!! THE GUY THAT PICKED UP THE PHONE WAS VERY NONCHALANT EXPLAINING TO ME THATS BECAUSE THEIR IN A BOX,I TOLD HIM THEYVE BEEN SELLING THEM IN A BOX FOR A WHILE NOW AND IVE NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE. SO BASICALLY I WASTED 11.00

The food is delicious. Drinks great. But service is the most horrible. Me and friends of mine went late at night they lied about the time they close as it says 2am on here I was told "Google doesnt apply to us" lol. The waitress lied about the bar being closed as I was able to order another drink from the bartender. My friend waited an entire hour for wings and fries. And they also refuse to split your checks up saying "we dont feel like it."Meaning you will possibly get over charged.Really good food and drinks but I would definitely like to be served by the manager next time. Maybe I wont feel like Monkey King doesnt deserve my $$ at all!

They seemed to have changed some of their happy hour items, the main thing being the jungle juice! If you havent had it, IT IS STRONG. Now its $16 =( But anyways, this seems to be the place to go for late night munchies. The salt and pepper wings and tofu are always good! The other items on the menu seem to be fine too, nothing bad but nothing outstanding. However, the service can be very slooooowwwwwwwww. But its usually because they seem understaffed, especially late at night when everyone comes. So dont come here in a rush.

Two stars only because the food was alright got seated quickly. The waiters here dont have name tags so i cant name the chick who waited us . Took 47 minutes to take our order and when she came to wait us as soon as we started to speak she walked away without even saying excuse me or hang on or anything. We waited a couple minutes for her to come back when my brother ordered for the three of us she looked at him in disgust as if all the food was for him. Totally uncalled for disrespectful and rude. Will not be returning.

Great food but service is some of the worst weve seen. Waited a half hour before we flagged someone after drinks and appetizers arrived to order dinner. Another 45 before plates started showing up which came individually for the four of us over the half hour following. No apologies from any of the staff for the terrible service. If the food wasnt good I would have given 1 star. Never going back.

Popular restaurant, moderate wait to be seated, good cocktails, so-so service. Younger crowd. Food takes a long time to come out, one dish at a time with 20 minutes of wait time between dishes (yes, you finish one dish before the next dish arrives), the last dish being the soup. Very odd. Its not your average Chinese restaurant. More of a social destination. I wont return.

I had the coconut mojito and hard strawberry lemonade cocktails. Both were very good. As a snack, I had the Disco Fries, which are fries with peppers, cheese, and onions on top. They were good. Everything was at a discounted price because of the very cheap happy hour, which seems to go on all night. Service is pretty good and the place is huge. There is no wait at all!
