Stopped by tonight and had a rather mixed experience. First, the service is absolutely flawless. We were seated quickly, checked on regularly, and left to eat once we had our food. Unfortunately, the food was incredibly disappointing. My fish tacos were mostly panko breading and the meat on my partners burger was notably thin, the bacon flat. When we told our server, he apologized and soon Melanie, the manager, came over and talked with us awhile. After understanding the situation, we received a gift card and promised to give it another try. Hope to have our opinions changed! The service was too good not to try again.

90% of the waiters have an uncomfortable to look at forced smile, the host is a grumpy, over weight teenager who makes you want to go somewhere else and eat a salad, and though there are lots of TVs and nice seats, the waiters/waitresses will most likely put you somewhere gross, like by the bathroom. The food is great, but the service is enough for me to stop going.

Its your standard California-style burger place. They have good french fries. Used to come here all the time with my classmates and get their veggie burger with guacamole. Its consistently decent, but nothing to get too excited about. Their passionfruit flavored iced tea is delicious, strangely. Good place to bring a group for a casual meal.

Never ending fries...yummy burger...hold about half the onions...good drink options... TV that doesnt dominate the vibe...go during lunch hour specials, excellent pricing.. great location to hit up after spending some time at the beach, just a 30 minute mountain road winding drive to refuel and refresh before heading back to LA...aloha

Always get what I ordered, to the tee. One time, I ordered three burgers to pick up. When I came in to receive meal for take out, they accidentally forgot to order. They ended up giving me the entire order at no cost to m, and every order was exact and hot to go. An extremely professional crew. We enjoy Islands. Thank You ! ! !

I usually get the grilled veggie taco, which are very good. The really bad thing about this restaurant and why I gave it only three stars is that they dont filter their water. What kind of restaurant still does not serve filtered water? They also dont offer bottled water for purchase. Get with the times, Islands.

I was there with a friend last week and was helped by Katie. She was amazing, always checking up on us making sure we had everything we needed. I feel like nowadays its hard to get great quality service at a restaurant but Katie sure as hell doesnt fall under that category. Thanks again!!!

Staff was friendly, except our server. She took our order, checked up on us once, and brought us the check. It wasnt packed for her not to make sure everything was ok. I forgot my babys bottle in the table when we left and one of the guys ran outside to bring it to me.

For what it is i.e. teenage servers, predictable menu etc. it is fine and we keep going. If ever there is the slightest problem the manager is walking around and is there to please. Well always have it as a staple. Cant beat the fries - no where, no how!

I had a bbq chicken burger... I ate it so fast, i forgot to take a picture to share. This food truck is great. Good food, good people. I even had a chat with one of the owners for a considerable amount of time he was very nice and down-to-earth.

Always love this place! I wish the chain would invest in some new surfing videos or play some more current competitions from WSL, theyre free to watch on YouTube after all... but the food is great and the service is good, and I love the vibe!

Food is good. Service is good. Environment is comfortable. Waits are usually pretty short. They have most of the TVs playing extreme sports moments, which is cool. The desserts are pretty good too. Not a bad restaurant.

Islands is a fun place to visit just for the decor and fun videos of surfing, skiing, BMX, etc. on the screens. They also serve pretty good American food with an Hawaiian twist. Also, best nachos in the area.
