We decided to by-pass the grilled meats which looked as if they had been sitting on the grill for a long time. Instead, we ordered from the a la carte menu and had a drink or three whilst our lunches were cooked in the kitchen. We were fortunate to have an attentive, chatty wait person who kept returning to ensure that everything was OK. The cooked food was of good standard and the accompanying salad and following dessert very tasty. As in the buffet restaurant, there were a lot of male staff members standing around, doing nothing whilst our female wait person was run off her feet, attending to the needs of her guests. We appreciated her efforts.

I love coming here. Its a cute little place with simple food, very good prices. Ive had breakfast and lunch here and its great diner food great burgers and fries and cant go wrong with eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Coffee is delicious. Some times of day are a little busier than others, but Ive never had to wait for a place to sit or had a problem finding street parking-its set far enough down Eagle Rock Blvd. from the crazy that Colorado Blvd. has become.

Really love the island atmosphere. I like the decor and theme. Its very comfortable to sit and eat here. The food is very good. I gave minus a star because the televisions playing sports all around the place kind ruins the nice atmo. The manager is very nice came up and talked with our kids and congratulated or dished for getting recognized at school.

“Time for a little seafood” The service was excellent and I really enjoyed my meal, grilled salmon with an entree of shrimp. But, the AC was very high so make sure to bring a little sweater or jacket. You could also bring your own wine (if you purchased some at the duty free before arriving) but their white wine was ok to accompany the meal....

best part about islands used to be the endless fries now you dont get them as an appetizer. They put a handful on your plate and take forever to give you more, and its just another handful and by the time they get there youre done and ready to go...... very WEAK Islands. it WAS fun going.....

“Delicious, healthy and cheap” It gets busy -- but its busy for a good reason. Avoid during the "meal rush" times of day if youre averse to crowds. Even so, they manage to turn out a quality product in a relatively short period of time, so go anyways!

The atmosphere at Islands is amazing and the food is fantastic. They have a great selection of burgers, salads, appetizers and drinks. Ive never been disappointed with anything Ive ordered. Islands is one of my favorite restaurants in Valencia.
