Location: On the East Side of Oracle in a shopping center along with Guadalajara Grill The Skinny: Pricey. I think you can find other places that serve burgers just as tasty for a lot less money. As far as food, I had a burger and fries, my wife had a salad and the two kids each had a kids meal. After the smoke cleared, it was $54! The Food: By no means I am trying to be cheap but after having a few other burger places that served food just as good (see previous reviews), I was just in total sticker shock. The burger itself was flavorful yet seemed a little too “vanilla” for a $10 burger. I also wanted to give their “truffle fries” a shot. As much as it seemed like this should have added flavor to the fries, most of the mix ended up below the fries. The salad I felt was just …..on par. It was a chopped salad but it was appx $4 extra just to add a small amount of chicken. The Restaurant: As you can tell, I felt that price was the overall thorn for me. The restaurant itself was very nice but I felt that a place like this did not need to have table service but would be well served as a fast-casual type burger place (not fast-food but fast-casual). I took notice that socializing among the wait staff seemed slightly more important than waiting on the table as we had to flag down servers a few times just to request ketchup for my kids (which I would have been happy to get myself if they would have allowed) Many of them gathered around the bar area or directly in front of the cooks station to just chat and not watch their tables. I did take notice that the cooking staff was doing their job very well and focused as we could see into the kitchen. The outside seating was perfect for a Tucson day. Just remember to bring plenty of money in your wallet and bring a lot of patience while having to wait for the wait staff. Tip: I would recommend going to other burger places of other calibers but if you must go, do get the Prickly Pear Tea. It had good flavor and was fresh. Restroom: Very nice and clean. Single Stall. Kids Review: The fries were pretty good…

Some of the best burgers in town , they are made very thin so that they are cooked thoroughly but are extremely juicy. If you do like pink or red in the middle, you just ask and they will make it thicker so that you get it just the way you want. All their ingredients are absolutely the best and everything is made from scratch. They have some of the best drink selections and Bar, and their shakes are always smooth and perfect. Their salads are delectable and scrumptious. Ive also noticed that they deliver the food screaming fast. With a pleasant modern design environment and doors that can be opened to let in the outside and joined to the shaded outside seating area, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. A good Secret is their carrot cake which is huge and meant to be shared with the entire table, and is the absolute best Ive ever had. You will not be disappointed by this place. Reservations recommended.

Our first time visiting and the server knew it. He was helpful at first but then service fell flat and we didnt see him much after our food arrived. Had to request water refills, extra plates, to-go box and the check. For the price point we expected a bit more flavor especially with the veggie burger. Too flat of a patty and very little garnish. The beet salad was just ok, dressing wasnt recognizable and not enough. Added salmon and it was over cooked. As a knock off of Zin Burger you definitely have to bring it. Eating out tends to be a luxury these days especially when going out with our young daughter. No crayons or kid items to keep her entertained were offered. We unfortunately wont be back as we value great service and restaurants that go above and beyond.

The burger was very fresh, juicy, kind of like a Culvers or in and out patty in thickness. The service was alright, they seemed a little overwhelmed with an about half filled restaurant. Where they get three stars for me is the value. The burger was $10, thats JUST for a fairly normal sized burger. You want fries, thats an extra $5-6. This made me mad, thats about the cost of a normal meal for just an order of fries? So for just a burger and fries it comes out to $15+. Want anything to drink $20. Thats about the cost of a moderate steak dinner. For a pretty casual dining setup, and small portions, thats a heafty price tag. I did not think my meal was worth the cost. If the prices were better, Id probably return because the burger was tasty.

When Noble Hops took the Wisconson burger off of their menu, Ive been floundering around the north side looking for an excellent burger ever since. The Lodge closed down, Thunder Canyon was always wildly inconsistent, and Zin burger was so average for so above average costs. My co-worker told me about this new place that opened up and boy did they deliver. The service was excellent, the blueberry mojito was on point and then the burgers... Truland burgers are unique in that the use multiple thin patties instead of one large one. I thought I wouldnt like this approach, imagining something like smash burger, but the burger was exquisite. I think I found a new place to scratch that burger itch.

First off, it is an upscale restaurant, so you are paying for the ambience as much as the food...but the food makes it worth it. Grass-fed beef, nitrite-free bacon, fresh toppings, crisp yet tender French fries, golden tots, sizable salads that are fresh and delicious...need I go on? What about creative cocktails from the bar or decadent desserts? All in an open, spacious room where you can look into the kitchen and see meals being made. This is good stuff. :) This summer, any Classic burger or any salad on the menu is $7 from 11-4. Its a great deal -- for the wallet, taste buds and for anyone to experience the deliciousness that is Truland.

Had their beet salad, it was so delicious! The salads were very filling. Havent tried a burger yet but will very soon. **Update: Had some burgers, and yeah they were damn good. My biggest pet peeve with burgers is the bottom bun cannot hold up and falls apart before I am done eating the burger. That was not the case with Trulands buns. They are delicious and kept my hands mess free! I had the chorizo burger, and though it was fantastic I wish I had followed the suggestion of the menu and gotten an egg on it. Also the sweet potato tots and the jalapeño/cucumber margarita did not disappoint.

Normally the go to place for my wife and I but now we will probably not be returning. Sat down for 10 minutes with no service. Watching the waiters stand around talking and laughing. When we brought the lack of service up to the hostess she went to get someone. That is when the other waiters just rolled their eyes and walked away as though to say we were not as important as anyone else in the building. This was our favorite place to dine due to the good food but now sadly we will not be returning.
