This place was excellent! Food and service were fantastic! We looked at their website before going, and I had the impression that the price was a bit high, however, after eating there, the sides and meals are quite large making the price extremely reasonable. I will say that we were a little confused on how the place worked when we went in... You go up to the register and order what youd like. They give you a number to place on your table and you seat yourself. You get your drink up at the soda fountain, and they bring the food to your table. There isnt really anything when you go in indicating whether you should seat yourself or anything, not that it took us long to figure it out either. I will also say that they were pretty busy when we went in and they seemed a little flustered. We had to remind them to brings us our fries a couple times. But I was absolutely not bothered by it myself and was still very happy with them. They certainly were aiming to please. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the food tasted great! I highly recommend this place!

The food - FIVE STARS! Excellent food. However, the staff? A completely different story. If there is a mistake on their part, they make it out to be like its your fault for even asking them to rectify it. We placed an order over the phone and one of the burgers was asked to be made rare. When checking it before leaving, it was well-done (not pink at all). Asked if they could just remake the patty and was met with a look of resentment and a terribly bad attitude. Staff: "Theres a bunch of people ahead of you, it will be 10-15 minutes" This is their response? There wouldnt be people ahead of us if your staff would have correctly cooked it in the first place. I get it, mistakes happen - thats not the problem, but at least be courteous and efficient with resolving the problem. "Wouldnt the patty be the fastest thing to cook?" Staff: "Their really swamped, cant change that" What a JOKE. Now, the rest of the food will be cold. No apology. No proper solution. No compensation. So guess what - no good review. Thanks Monkey Burger!

Took the kids today and totally messed up our whole table and surrounding area! Goldfish & gummies from home (i know, i know-bad), crumbs and a spilled cup of chips. We were tres messy. You know what, though? The good folk at Monkey Burger were so gracious & understanding and thus, eating out with the family there was a real treat because of them. The fried pickles. I have a new sinful craver snack. Goodbye Cheetos. It was my first time trying them and Im hooked. They come with thousand island to dip and my family sat slack jawed as I devoured a whole can alone. Argh. So much for eating healthy. Also, I tried the Chi-Town Burger today-imagine a Chicago Dog that is a burger instead. Slippery & hard to handle but charming & delicious. Complete with bright green relish. The baby helped me with one half and was dancing in her seat to the groovy tunes as she chowed down. For the Record: The kids all agree the banana is the best part of the mural in there. Good to Know: M-Th Military Discount is 10% from 11 am - 3 pm!!!

Ive eaten at monkey burger for a while now, and have always been impressed, but I had one experience that makes me a customer for life: the other night I phoned in my order for take out after leaving the gym. I picked up my food, which was in two boxes, rather than the usual one, but didnt think anything of it at the time. When I got home I opened the food to find that I had been given someone elses order. after staring at it for a couple seconds, my phone rang. It was the general manager asking if I had gotten the wrong order, and offering to make it right. Anyone can have good service when things are going right, but truly exceptional service happens when things are going wrong. The fact that they cared enough to make a call like that makes me a Monkey Burger customer for life.

I really liked monkey burger, and I am not a big burger eater. First of all they are a local business so I am much happier to give them my $$ than some chain. Secondly, the burgers are super yummy with lots of different and intriguing options; I had the "Vegas Baby", sautéed spinach and onions on a burger? Sold! What I really liked best is that they can make any burger with turkey instead of beef, for me that makes this my go to place if I am ever craving a quality burger. I would agree that the buns can get a bit soggy by the end (depending on your toppings), but they give you a fork and giant steak knife so you do have those to fall back on. Also the sweet potato fries were totally awesome. Don’t listen to the trolls; this place is the Cat’s Pajamas.

I researched online for the best burger place in Tucson and stumbled upon this, Monkey Burger looked the most promising. I chose The Monkey for the first time as a going away gift. Once i received it i can already smell the rich flavors of the burger, it was as I requested medium well. Opening the to go box it was visually delightful yet nothing too fancy. Of course after all that i took my first bite of this Monkey Burger thinking to myself here goes nothing and instantly i was in awe as the juicy flavors enriched my senses and i was amazed that they could fit all of this goodness in a burger. I highly recommend Monkey Burger if you ever want to have a great burger, and Ive had plenty.

The food was fine. But we were asked nearly 10 times if we were done with our plates, even while we were actively eating. Were they out of dishes? We went there with a friend from out of town. While they processing my friends credit card, the register crashed. It appeared to them that the order had not gone through so they reprocessed it. Turns out that the first charge had gone through and my friend was charged twice. Repeated attempts to contact Monkey Burger have been ignored and the charge cannot be disputed unless it was over $50 so my friend has no recourse. Shame on you Monkey Burger for not making this right. Ill be telling my friends.

Monkey Burger offers a lot of value. Most meals are around $10 for a very tall burger and lots of fries or chips and a soda. The workers there are friendly and service is fast. Its a type of restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring the food to you, so its kinda weird how you tip them upfront. The atmosphere is very hip and laid back with a lot of monkey art. I ordered the special Zeta burger which was alright. It was like a gyro but I felt there was a little too much bitter ingredients in there. Also the bun was a little cool oddly. Overall its a great burger restaurant for the money, but theres better burgers in Tucson.

This used to be my favorite place. I ate lunch here 5 days a week every week, for over a year. Old Monkey burger was a 5 star joint. Ever since the old GM left, The quality of the food has been consistently down. Its like theyve completely changed the playbook, and the culture. I dont know if theyve hired new cooks, or changed recipes or quality control standards, but 2 of my last 3 visits, the avocado salsa has been off -- almost as if an under- or over-ripe avocado made it into the mix. I hate to think that they might be cutting corners, but that seems to be the case. Perhaps its just taking some time to find their stride again.
