Great overall execution of modern asian dishes while maintaining the quality and flavors that make traditional asian food so tasty. My favorite are the shishito peppers which are cooked, light salted, and blistered to bring out the flavor and texture (see my picture). I rarely have had them made this well at other restaurants. They also have a great happy hour menu with tasty pork dumplings, chicken lettuce wraps, serrano yellow tail rolls, and beet/salmon poke with sweet purple potato chips! Id go on but its best to experience this place in person. I recommend enjoying the happy hour deals and ordering small plates from both menus.

Absolutely fantastic; I used to be a chef as well but I can humbly state their staff has produced food far Superior than anything I can cook in my modest kitchen. Only note would be a larger selection of sake. The rice was cooked with clean water, the meat must have been marinated or tenderized as it came out as close to perfection as one could be; the sesame chicken stayed crispy throughout the meal despite being covered in an obviously fresh glaze. Im actually a little mad that I may legitimately be unable to replicate the quality myself.

My wife and I came on a date night and had an amazing experience. The service was truly amazing. From the minute we were seated to the time we checked out, Julie ensured we had absolutely no complaints. The food was 100% fresh, though there could have been a couple more vegetarian sushi options, since ours was a spring roll chopped up. We were definitely taken care of thanks to the staff. We will definitely return.

Excellent food. Outstanding atmosphere. Staff Very attentive. Pricing for the food very manageable for the downtown area. This is a definite stop by for anybody in the downtown Tucson area. We never get dessert, this time we tried the miso creme brulee. This is the best I have had. Not too sweet with the perfect thim carmlized topping.

A unique and delightful dining experience. We were treated graciously the moment we walked in the door. MiAn is both trendy and inviting. The food is a fresh take on many traditional Japanese and Chinese favorites. From our first course to the delightful Miso Creme Brulee we everything was perfect. Thank you exceeding our expectations.

The quality of the sashimi and sushi is top notch, as well as the creative menu items. Unfortunately this restaurant follows the trend of being loud and large and having large televisions, all things to distract one from such fantastic food. I will be back, but during times when its not crowded and loud.

The prices are average, the interior looks amazing! This is among the top restaurants in Tucson as far as looks go, however the food does not compliment. Its completely lacking and not consistent. If you must go, know that youre only going for how this place looks, prepare for sub-par Asian food!
