The Chinese cuisine at Chinese Combo Express is underwhelming and served in extremely small to-go portions. The beef chow fun is served WITHOUT any kind of sauce: just a few noodles, a few pieces of beef, and a smattering of veggies - very strange. The "Thai" food contains no trace of ANY ingredients actually used in Thai cooking (e.g. cilantro, coconut milk, galangal, etc.) The flavors and textures in Chinese Combos version of Thai food are really quite foul. Please do not offer food for sale that you cannot actually make. One star for saying that they do not cook with MSG and the other to the friendly hostess.

Had a very good duck curry. Ive only tried 4 Seasons on Miracle Mile to compare the Tucson Thai experience to, and I have to give Chinese Combo the nod for richer flavor and exceptional service. The rest of the party had Chinese and all gave thumbs up. Also tried the hot & sour soup, one of my favorites soups, and it was done right, a rare experience for me. Hot and sour soup has two major expectations to meet - it has to be hot and it has to be sour. Should be obvious, right? Rarely do I actually get that, though, but Chinese Combo gets the "Baby Bears Porridge" award from me - its just right.

Three stars not because there was any glaring issues, but because the food was about average when compared to other places I have been to. Ive had both the Phó and the Pad Thai here and both were fresh and well made. The pho was only slightly aeromatic, and the pad thai wasnt sweet or soury enough and a little too fishy. Service was good, and place was clean though.

Ordered teriyaki chicken doesnt look or taste like it. I also had pepsi and the type of aftertaste is off probably the carbonated water so had it switched to Dr pepper and it tasted like vanilla coke aside white rice and egg drop was good $9.50 ish lunch special with drink

We have been going for years. The lunch specials are the greatest deal, they come with your choice of soup and an egg roll. The have hefty portions for a low price. Definitely recommend. Lunch ends at 4pm.
