View beautiful but not the quality Marriott service Im used to as a Rewards member. I called to request that my son check in early. He was added to the room but could not check in. I was fine being told over the phone that no rooms were ready when he arrived, but was a bit upset when I then was told he could not check in at all because he wasnt 21. The attendant asked me if I had told them he was under 21. I indicated that I had not since the previous days attendant hadnt made me aware there would be any restrictions on his stay. I mean who would have mentioned someones age out of the blue? Needless to say, I was not happy that, instead of waiting for us at the airport, he spent money to get to the hotel and couldnt get into the room. They did let him use wifi. When my husband and I arrived, we received free parking, which we appreciated, although they never really said much about the check-in issue. The connecting rooms we had were next to the pool, one of them clearly a former reception area. The bigger room was very spacious, but definitely loud because of the pool and there were no blackout curtains to block light. Finally, when we wanted to get a late check-out, the first thing I was told in denying the request (something that has never happened to me before) was that the next guests for those rooms wanted to check-in early. Then I was told that the attendants had been told not to let anyone stay late. Finally, I received a call saying we could stay in one of the rooms until 1 pm, after waiting to hear from a manager who has not called even now a couple of days after checkout. I dont think it helps to tell one guest they wont be accommodated so that another guest can be accommodated. It left a very bad taste in my mouth, which is why I asked for the manager. All the hellos and welcomes from the outdoor attendants did not overcome the negatives of the desk attendants and inattentive management, but at least it helped me give the hotel a 2 and not a 1. In the past, I have tried to stay in Marriott hotels when I can, even when they are a little farther away from where I would like to be located, because I thought I could count on the service. Even when something has gone wrong with the stay, the overwhelming response has been to try to make it right. I wont go out of my way any more after this stay.

Beautiful hotel ... very scenic... Customer service sucks.... My worst nightmare experience and horrible Marriott customer service… While getting out of the cab at Marriott my wallet slipped in the cab. Soon I realized and went to front desk for help. I called Cab Company but nobody was picking the phone. So I asked the front desk to help me out to go to Airport lost/found area to find the cab (luckily I had the receipt), since I had no credit card or cash with me at that time my only hope was Marriott. I had advance booking at this hotel for 2 nights (I always stay at Marriott when travelling for business). Marriott had my credit card on file and the organization name which has 3 days event in their resort and STILL THEY DID NOT ONLY SAID NO TO HELP ME OUT and ON THE TOP THEY DID NOT ALLOW ME TO CHECK IN THE ROOM AS NO ID MEANS NO ROOM. It was 11:30 pm so I had nobody from my organization or participating organization to call to. Luckily one guy saw me in the situation at MARRIOTT and figured out I am a genuine guy so he let the Marriott staff use his credit card on file for me to get a room. I will never stay at Marriott again. Can’t believe the hotel I used to recommend to others became my worst nightmare…. Just to let the readers know…. I found my wallet the next day… cab driver gave it to the cops and they returned it to me.

This review is for the appearance and friendliness if the hotel employees, and primarily the Top of the Rock restaurant. The hotel itself is classy, with lovely carpeting and apparently an excellent cleaning crew. I frequently see a high influx of visitors there, which is a great sign. Upon visiting, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and were able to answer most of the questions I had. The Top of the Rock restaurant is... Interesting. Ive been to this restaurant 3 times- once many years ago, which turned out terrible. Once 3 months ago, which was also not that great. Finally, I visited on the Fourth of July, and was met with an incredible meal from their new chefs. Their menu morphed a little from 3 months before, with some menu items that I had ordered last time (a bread soup and a side) having disappeared. When I tried them, they were awful, so Im very happy theyre gone. This time, I enjoyed the view of multiple fireworks shows from a perch above the cityscape. I had an incredible meal, with a beautiful dessert at the end that had a wonderful balance. So, prospective visitor: it is excellent. If you visited once prior, I urge you to try it again. They have vastly improved and it is wonderful to have such a classy experience so close by.

Upon check in I asked the girl at front for a rollaway bed and she stated she would call and have one sent up. After waiting a while we decided to call the front desk to see what the hold up was. The lady who answered the phone was someone different than whom we originally spoke to she stated she would call and find out when they would bring. Within a couple of minutes they called us back and the lady stated I never requested one with the other girl and they would not be able to bring one up. We decided to go back to the office and speak to them because their website states they are available and there was no restrictions. The girl who checked us ended up Coming out after we speaking to the other lady and had a very rude deamenor with us. The other lady stated we will request the camera footage which would be fabulous if they do because I do. Not appreciate being called a liar. This place has poor customer service and to top it off they have cockroaches everywhere outside. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Dont waste your time or money ,the photos will fool you !My husband booked this hotel for our anniversary weekend , we are going to see Tool ! Our room was small and unimpressive with a close-up and personal view of a tree and the sweet sound of the highway. If you do decide you HAVE to go to this hotel , make sure you are not in the room next to the chairmans suite it has a PIANO in it , and our neighbors chose to play it , loudly , two mornings in a row at about 6am ( we checked out our 3rd night). The management felt this was acceptable , given that the room had a piano!!so did their corporate office .I assume from this ,that we lesser mortals , who pay the bulk of their wages ,dont count ? Our room service food , was cold , there was no way it could have been hot , as our room was so far from the main part of the hotel . When we complained they sent us an undrinkable bottle of wine , as an anniversary gift from the management !!!! JUST , DONT GO AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS NOT TO GO .
